  1. Rhetorical question? Various methods can be used, number and colours for each side (aspect) of the building. As you look at the building, Front is White aspect, Rear is Black aspect (think back), Right is Red aspect, and Left is Green aspect. So when inside the building looking out to the front, red is on the left and green is on the right (same as port and starboard). Alternately Front is 1, Left is 2, Rear is 3 and Right is 4. Key thing is that all the team know which side is designated the front, and can count and know their left from right.
  2. Stupid question, what is the purpose of the masking tape?
  3. Well if it is a zoo themed skirmish, then I am going to have an ostrich costume with the scope hidden up its neck
  4. But the cost of stamps for P&P on the rest of the submarine would be more
  5. I have some old plastic drainpipe in the shed, and a roll black gaffa tape in the garage, so all I need are a couple of mirrors...
  6. UK Tactical are giving 20% discount on all Warrior products until midnight Sunday 04 October, use code POUCHATHON20. Note: Have just bought a pistol lanyard to test the discount, that is my excuse and I am sticking to it
  7. I was thinking of adding a cricket bat to my loadout to do the same thing to bat off incoming pellets, and a slightly easier with the bat's larger surface area
  8. This is not necessarily a new piece of kit, but one item for airsoft that I have only just seen for sale. A metal Periscope sold by Patrol Base. http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-sights-scopes/periscope---black.htm#.Vg6l0JR4WK0 Very useful for those players stuck in a trench or trying to spot a sniper, simply up scope and look around. It even has a screw fitting at the base to attach a monopod to make holding it more comfortable. I am sure there are some extra mods which could be made to it
  9. I have been looking through the forum for comments on pistols, and the TM MK23 Socom is highly rated. Check this link http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/20481-who-makes-the-best-mk23-socom-pistol/?hl=mk23 and read the entry #13 by Rocky-Climby-Dave. May be of some help. It certainly makes me want to get one now even if not as pretty as the TM H&K 45.
  10. Obama to Hitler or vice versa. And apologies for my earlier post, I did not want to offend any monkeys by insinuating that they may be French.
  11. OK, I will concede that the wiki about the French being 'cheese eating surrender monkeys' is true
  12. I should have been more specific, pasting the paragraph below into google takes you to the tacitical gentleman website (second listed search and not your blog posted on 30 Sept), so must be original version ??? The Screaming Eagle Badge of the 101st Airborne was created in after the war, in 1921. The eagle head was a representation of the Civil War mascot "Old Abe, of the Wisconsin Infantry Regiment. I am just used to crediting source(s) in essays and reports; the internet is full of plagiarism, and never trust wikipedia.
  13. Personally, if I was going to copy and paste from other articles then I would check the grammar and spelling ( http://www.thetacticalgentleman.com/morale-patch-history/ ) On a positive note, the photographs are good.
  14. I recently purchased a battle belt by Warrior Assault Systems (no surprise as I am a fan of their kit) for about £45 for the PLB enhanced belt. Strong construction with plenty of adjustment around the waist and well padded for comfort. There is a decent range of WAS pouches to put on the belt, or other brands with Molle. It has loops for attaching straps/suspenders, etc. I currently have my belt fitted with: a triple M4 mag pouch, slim dump pouch, medium admin pouch, pistol holster, and double pistol mag pouch.
  15. I agree with you. Fogging ruins play. Also eyesight is priceless, which has put me off the low cost glasses option as I am not convinced on the ballistic protection offered. Having purchased several different pairs of goggles and still experiencing fogging (although have not tried cat crap, etc) moved on to paintball mask which works very well, and no suprises starts to hit the £100 mark. I can see myself adding the Desert Locust to my kit.
  16. Or you could just buy some batteries, then discard your current stock and ask Mr Duck what stock to get to fit the batteries and your gun And wait for a response [i call that a Duck bomb ]
  17. I had previously raised the question (thread in Advice & Technical Help / General, regarding anti-fogging goggles) of using these cheaper Bolle glasses which are only safety rated EN166F, this is only low impact resistant. So was not convinced that they are safe enough for CQB, especially in the UCAP Bunker which is very close and full auto. They probably work better outside where BBs hit from distance and with less energy, although sniper and DMR could still be too powerful, but would be concerned for impact resistance in closer proximity. I have no idea of the maths behind the impact damage of different BB weights from their fps and energy but expect someone on the forum can explain it properly. Think it was rating 'B' that gave adequate protection.
  18. Randymanpipe: Have played at UCAP GreenOps and Sandpit on the same team. A steady and dependable team mate, who will go forward hunting the opposition and get stuck into the fire-fight. An honest player who calls his hits and plays by the rules. Never hear him cheat calling. He will pull a team mate from line of fire to medic them back into game. Generous spirit, offered the use of his spare gun to keep me in the game when I experienced technical issues with mine. A player who embraces the diversity of airsoft sites and looks forward to trying them all
  19. I was fortunate to be able to go straight for the gun that I wanted, and after all the months waiting to buy my first RIF I did not plan having to compromise. Hopefully a decent brand/model will last several years and is good enough straight out the box without needing upgrades. Of course it is all the other kit for the gun that adds to the cost; extra magazines, sling mount and sling, scope and mounts, flashlight and batteries, fore-grip, rail covers, etc. But that is just pimping the ride. Sometimes spending a bit more for quality is better than taking second best, and saves the need to buy a second gun (yes, I know that is heresy to some to the forum) because your starter gun is not right. It really is a personal thing and what best suits you.
  20. Love the police box, what scale is it? I could do with a 1:1 for the back garden, it would alleviate the problem of only having a toilet upstairs and not needing to build an extension.
  21. UK Tactical have a 10% discount on all products until midnight 30 September - discount code ZOMBIE10
  22. The weather looks good for Sunday so I am going to bake in my Fast Helmet. Do not have a hat, and a baseball cap does not sit on my Dye i4 face mask. More importantly I do have a Camelbak so will stay hydrated. Yes, I aim to be therefor 0900 hrs.
