  1. UKARA is not a licence just a retailer database, which you do not have to be on. This link from New Player Guides & Info is the FAQ on UKARA http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/1254-popular-ukara-questions/. Read the pinned posts in New Players & Arrivals, it will help answer some questions you may have. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/forum/11-new-players-arrivals/
  2. Ah yes, experience vs wisdom. Experience is tripping over a curb, wisdom is watching someone else tripping over and avoiding it yourself.
  3. I now have several spares which i will bring to the private game in February in case anyone wants one. I usually end up buying a few versions to get the one I like the most or which fits best, and the rest get consigned to the airsoft drawer of redundant kit.
  4. I chose 'neilbbdev' because I could order just 5 disks at a time and get them custom sized, has a good range of smaller sizes. Very fast delivery and well packed, I would use again and recommend him. Order placed on Saturday 16 Jan and arrived on Wednesday 20 Jan.
  5. Five 25mm x 2mm cast acrylic disks for flashlight lens protector, customised to 22mm. Only £2.70 from eBay. A have previously ordered 3mm thick ones but for some torches they are a little too thick to fit inside. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171861257676?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&var=470794230257&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  6. Amazing where those things turn up, and not always the same colour or brand that I use. That is why I collect all the ones I find and put them in a bag for sale on eBay at reasonable rates http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28214-used-bbs-for-sale/
  7. Some options are not to play any CQB sites/games, lay down with the sniper rifle and remain hidden, wear some thicker clothes and just man-up. Alternately this is always an option, rofl - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Childs-Motorbike-Enduro-Sports-Armour/dp/B00DG0BDEI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453288750&sr=8-1&keywords=bmx+armour
  8. Always thought that having a pipe would be much more hip, with a decent shag
  9. Yes. I am not too keen on the FN Scar 'Wellington boot' stock either. Still there is a gun out there for everyone, and even the ugly ones will have someone who loves them.
  10. I love the shooting part but sometimes it is a pain to have a long walk back to regen because of friendly fire.
  11. I would not willingly go over to the orange team, but at that point it was not clear which half of us the marshalls would chose. Good call in the end, we (forum members) all ended up on the green team. Now just have to teach people that when they call a challenge they do need to say what colour they are and not just "colour?". In the basement we did have a clasic blue on blue in the dark when whole bunch of players were exchanging shots and no one had clarified what side they were on.
  12. A new Nitecore RCR123A rechargeable 3.7V 650mAh Li-ion Lithium battery for my tactical light, to replace the spare one I lost. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161497959866?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. They do have regular discounts, some are good savings which have tempted me on numerous occasions. I bought my Warrior chest rig due to the discount and was pleased that I did. I know what you mean about not having the code when you need one! Just need to wait and see if one comes out, I now only buy if thete is some saving never full price. Best answer is to receive their emails of offers, I only post a few of them.
  14. Thanks guys, just thought I would see what others did with their pyro before just leaving outside in the garage or in my kit bag inside the house.
  15. Or try finding a flanking route to take the fight to them from another direction but still going forward.
  16. Suspenders does seem a very American term, better to say harness. When I think of suspenders, it is that essential kit for holding up ones stockings (which are much more practical than wearing tights).
  17. Maybe I need to find some larger players to go in front of me. It worked well when I followed Lafta into Peacocks at the end of one game, we both drew fire but made it. Sometimes you just have to go forward
  18. UK Tactical http://www.uktactical.com/ offering 10% off everything on the site, which ends Friday 22 January - use code: EVERYTHING10
  19. More like having a ginger step-child
  20. Well, IIRC, it was actually a she and the home owner didn't have a leg to stand on...
  21. And that is a perfect example of why I would never use it. I do not consider footballers to be particularly good role models.
  22. A shot of spirits, i.e. rum or cognac, will also help improve the brain synaptic connections and concentration, however, not socially accepted at 10 am in work. Adrenaline is for the fight or flight response so does not necessarily make for better game play, and can possibly cause an over the top shooting response. As Proffrink says above, the last thing we want are pools of saliva all over the place.
  23. American chewing tobacco, disgusting spitting habit and gum disease.
  24. I remember a story about a man in South Africa who heard a burglar in his bathroom and shot him...
  25. Yes, you do get shot. Last Sunday I took multiple shots to my chest and stomach, some 20+ welts mainly across my gut. I wear two layers, running style top under my outer layer, which last time was UBACs and so also thin. I could do with some padding but do not want a plate carrier. Normally wearing a thicker top it is fine. At least you know that you have been hit The belt does have loops for suspenders / yoke but I do not use them.
