  1. But is it mint, nearly new, hardly used, just has a few skirmish scrathes
  2. I actually like it as an objet d'art and could use it as a paperweight.
  3. Summer holiday booked, so getting a back up gun will have to wait a while longer

Would get a better deal in the States but hassle of bringing it back into the UK. No hurry really as the TM is going strong but feel that I ought to have a spare just in case. Good excuse to get an classic MP5.

Yea get a cqb weapon, shorter and lighter than your 416 for getting round corners quicker. Really impressed with the scar L CQC and the compatible mags is a massive bonus.

I need to be lighter and fitter to get around the corners quicker :)

  4. Concise and precise, and not a mofo in sight.
  5. I wonder if you will get the short answer or long one from Sitting Duck?
  6. UK Tactical have 20% off Clawgear kit until Monday 01 Feb, use code CLAW20. They also have 25% off Warrior, code WARRIOR25
  7. Agreed on those not being useless but they may just be a little over the OP price limit.
  8. You could have a look here http://www.tacticalscope.co.uk/leapers-utg-1x32-cqb-red-green-dot-sight--2-qd-base-mounts---scp-ds3840w-816-p.asp
  9. Yep, tree hugging, green voting, vegetarian, members of team fluffy pink unicorns. We are just passively agressive, hail fellow, smiling assasins. Still we will shake hands after shooting you, and then take the piss
  10. It will only be my third occasion playing this year. It shall be great having the forum meet and then a Sunday game as well.
  11. I think it is open to us at 1800 hours, once the zombies from an earlier event there have been dispatched.
  12. Have you thought about wearing a shoulder holster? A possible solution because it is worn over the jacket and may be more accessible if clear of the plate carrier.
  13. Welcome Good to read that you have done some research about airsoft, the pinned threads are worth reading. This forum will be able to answer many questions although do expect some quick wit and banter along thre way. I can only answer question 2. Many of us started out playing solo, and still go to skirmishes alone. Make that initial effort to go on your own and it is worth it. Most airsofters are friendly and will talk to you, show you the ropes and talk about the game. Do not be intimitadated by their guns and kit just talk to them, we all started out as new players. The sooner you go the sooner you can start playing.
  14. UCAP is not UKARA registered. You can get membership with them, £12 a year, and once you have your membership number send your UKARA paperwork to UCAP to get it stamped. Then send the completed UKARA paperwork off to a registered shop to be placed onto the database. The UCAP membership is your valid defence.
  15. Sounds like Absolute Airsoft in Reading but better
  16. Yes, getting the leg straps set right does make a difference, too loose and the holster flaps and too tight and it is like a tourniquet on the thigh muscle.
  17. Welcome. As djben said, read all the pinned guides to get some useful information and basic knowledge. This link is a good place to start - http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/3779-the-beginners-guide-to-airsoft/
  18. Generally quality wins. A site that offers good marshals, games, and play environment would be more likely to get my repeat custom. In the same way that a poor site would be less likely to get me to spend my time and money going back. Some competition is healthy, sites can learn from other sites so that they improve their quality or offer a niche event, i.e. WW2 theme day. Of course if one site costs £40 to play at and another only £20, then you may choose to play twice as often for the same money. Personally if the £20 site was not offering value in its gameplay, then I would choose the more expensive site. Agree that too many players is not good, I like to have less people so that there is more room to manoeuvre. Games can always be adjusted to allow for less people.
  19. On the plus side, you now know the hoster will fit the belt and this post could help someone else who did not realise about the adjustment.
  20. I have a Viper adjustable drop leg holster and it fits onto belts up to 2 1/4 inch wide. The advantage of the velcro loop is that it is not a fixed size piece. I attach mine onto a riggers belt 1 3/4 inch wide. How large is your belt? One thing I have done to my holster is cut some small pieces of female velcro to cover any exposed male velcro in order to prevent it snagging on my clothing and pulling threads.
  21. When? Some details could be useful. Is there a website?
  22. It is not perfect, ideally we want a 3 character search function, but too many people do not even bother using it. A couple of minutes effort to use several different search terms and reading the threads found would save everyone wasted time.
  23. Welcome This is the home of witty banter, discussion, and some really helpful information and advice. You will note that there are several members who regularly play at the Mall and others who go occasionally, so it is a good site to meet other forum members. And remember that the search button is your friend (providing you use 4 characters or more).
  24. This question is constantly being asked (me included), please use the search button and read the previous threads as they contain some good advice / information. Search on terms 'fogging', 'goggle' and 'mask'. For example http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28710-fogging-please-help/?hl=fogging
  25. I suppose that depends on the SMG and where it is being bought from. Spending less is not always better but it is your budget.
