I can't see the problem really, but that post surely explains how it arose. What's the point in the chronograph, what's the point in trusting other's to call hits, if people are going irrationally dislike players with more money to spend [on airsoft].

Scalp. Well, the BBs are much more likely to break exposed skin than covered skin. Theres always mesh paintball masks to be considered, cover all parts of your head not covered by hair.

Thanks for that tip (the second one) Esoterick, if a player calls me on hits I will let the marshals know. I've watched enough Vids, and chatted about it sufficiently, to know that calling out suspected cheaters is no good, at TWA the people who did that got a bigger telling off than the cheaters. One of the marshals actually suspended a game to have a good shout. I also spoke calmly with marshals when I needed to.

If you buy one, the EmersonGear fast helms have a good rep for the most simplistic level of helmets, but they have two types, basic - interior is one lump of polystyrene(i think) padding, and no adjustment screw, and advanced, which has removable pads and a size screw, measure your head before buying! Generally they're a rip off in this country anyway, so something better might be affordable, but don't ask me what, I started my airsoft hobby copying popular youtubers - I do not regret it. Note - as you will see from other forum topics (see search) these helmets are replicas and should not be treated as an object expected to protect your head in a situation you'd expect them to, that said, tree branches door/window frames, a basic knock into a wall, and BB's they're great. Just don't go jumping off a mountain in them - probably shouldn't ride a bike either.

Nozzle is easy to see because there is a silver area with a hole (showing the black upper) so you can see the nozzle movement and position easily. I'm going to leave this alone until I get an opportunity to chronograph the gun. Thanks for all the input, after it's chrono'd I wont need to post anything to check this stuff out.

Don't assume that if you step out around a 90 degree corner that the guy around it 1 metre away wont shoot you more than once. Got a bone bruise on my right pinky now. Stepped out, shot two guys in the chest and stood there like a lemon while they blasted me (both fired after I hit the 2nd guy), received 6 BBs straight to the pinky. I don't think they even felt their hits.

I just retested, the nozzle is not visible at [trigger] rest on semi, on auto I am able to bring the trigger forward before the nozzle is withdrawn. The issue is over-cycling of the motor? Could this be because of using a low voltage battery?

In that case, this is a good job I looked at it today as it would have otherwise been like that for two weeks instead of 42, hours. Thanks! I take it that means, that one of the things i've learned, through Q&A, that no one told me about AEGs is to check the nozzle is in contact with the barrel before putting it into storage, when firing semi I had difficulty achieving that state.

Ok, managed to get the nozzle in full contact with the barrel (well the green hop bucking anyway). How long should I leave it like that for, started the clock at 11am? If no one answers I'll fire it in semi tomorrow morning. Re-reading the above, I may have got this backwards. When I looked in the magwell this morning the black nozzle was entirely withdrawn (since 42 hrs ago) - I could have dropped a bb down the barrel and pushed it out the magwell. Sorry Duck your instructions confused me a little, I'm unclear whether you mean the spring decompressed or compressed is 'cocked'. I would presume that the spring compressed is cocked. I get that nozzle forward is decompressed.

Be sure you take out the internals before applying that heat. I'm guessing from the bike, that won't be a problem, but it'd be wrong to assume everyone knows there's an inner and outer barrel.

What is FH?

No need for a new topic. I found out today that my gun is 351 fps most of the time. And that when I previously chrono'd I was more than likely using .25g BBs from a borrowed mag - which would account for the 310 FPS noted. I want to play at the mall, which is strict 328 with variance allowed up to absolute 340. What can I do? Besides firing (not a realistic option). I have learned a lot and I know theoretical solutions, such as shortening the spring or drilling holes in the cylinder, but really I don't want to do any of that, someone reassure me the FPS will drop to 335 ish! I should have chrono'd at the end of the day, after it had had 400 BBs through it.

Poor internet and humour, most people use electric guns.
