  1. It's basically this: This vid is awful, but it gets the job done. I've been playing with this set up and it works fine with no mobility of the face mask. I just wish I had something to cover a 1cm gap over my nose from each nostril.
  2. Handy to know. Guess I will try and make do.
  3. TL;DR Are all V3 gun's tigger pull and reset distances distinctly larger than V2 guns? (question not applied to bullpups) I've noticed over the last few days that, the trigger pull and reset on semi fire with my new MP5K is very different to the V2 guns ive tried, and I was wondering if V3 guns are all distinguished from V2 in this manner, if this a consistent across all V3 guns? Its clearly that the pivot point is further from the point of contact with the users finger. I found that I was not able to easily repeatedly discharge the gun on semi, but more importantly the exertion was much higher too, furthermore I had repeated miscycles. Of course with practice it will get better, but it felt like a distinct disadvantage over a typical V2 trigger mechanism. I had hoped that V3 would be functionally the same as V2. Obviously play style is a big element of why this might be a problem, unless attempting greater than 2rd/s, it's not going to be a great problem, but such a large trigger pull also affects stability if trying to fire quick on semi. I'm quite an amateur player, i've only just managed to get my cheek welds sorted, so hopefully i'll be firing less shots per hit, but still, it feels like a blanket disadvantage. OR MAYBE, its just that my trigger finger is a wimp.
  4. Is changing (reducing) the length of a gun's trigger pull and return difficulty? I just noticed my new Cyma Mp5k has an annoyingly long trigger pull. It's 18-20mm, takes 12mm from zero to fire and the minimum return distance before firing again is at least 8mm, furthermore there is pretty much no resistance from the trigger severely limited tactile feedback.
  5. I think plastic is better, but don't quote me on that, tell you want, LMGTFY first and get back to you.
  6. UPS will charge you £11 (capped to include duty/handling) + VAT if you order something from evike - furthermore they wont attempt to clear your item through customs until you complete and post/email them a form, even if all of your answers are " there is no legal need for me to fill in this form " in every box. I've used evike twice, and other than the hidden cost worth about £6 to UPS it was fine. EDIT: Link to form.
  7. Lots, but all repeats of whats said before, theres two main manufacturers of the popular style helms, FMA and Emerson, and they come in three main features: include a pointless visor, adjustable, or neither. Mounting the gopro upside down is a good option to consider - with the official NVG mount and 2 additional brackets. Theres a few other Gopro NVG 3d printed mounts too. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27542-helmets-whats-the-opinion/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet#entry208862 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27015-helmets-whats-everyone-recommending-to-a-newbie/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/23878-budget-helmets/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet#entry173149 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/22015-airsoft-helmets/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet#entry154713 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/22865-headgear/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet#entry163794 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/22396-where-can-i-buy-a-ballistic-helmet-in-uk/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet#entry158202 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/18849-helmets-whats-the-difference/?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/18647-so-guys-what-stuff-do-you-wear-for-head-and-face-protection/page-2?hl=%2Bfast+%2Bhelmet#entry127000
  8. Take it we can't sleep in the venue for 8 hours? I'm down for either evening game option(but I won't be able to make the sunday game - by the time I get home it will be nearly time to set out again). Can't argue with paddington>reading offpeak return for £12. EDIT: Are marshals provided/necessary for the private games?
  9. Be sure you wear gloves/supportive footwear in your first games, even if hiring everything else.
  10. Different people will rate different options as fun for different reasons, for example I cannot comprehend why anyone would use a non electric high cap (i've yet to try any hicap), when midcaps go over 120 BBs. There are three types of Hicaps, winding, pull cord, and electric. As I find reloading fun, I completely advocate a particular option, but there isnt really a "best" option - though I suspect the electric high caps are quite easy to operate. Either way you want to be able to carry up to 600 BBs preloaded into magazines - 5 midcaps or 1-2 hicaps. Don't forget to buy a magazine loading tool. Go for whichever option you see as most fun, or cost effective. It really does not impact your game play in any way. Though obviously if you have mid caps you need somewhere to hold those midcaps.
  11. Its a little unclear whether you are talking about internal or external modification in relation to the limitations of M4 you already own. Generally people describe the M4 as the best platform for both types of modification.
  12. When you say 'precision barrel', is that inclusive of ALL bores, or just some?
  13. One would hope a little more care is taken when chronographing minorities.
  14. Grove Park sounds familiar - /me googles - and it's 5.5km away.
  15. I was hoping someone else would chirp in with the answer rather than think I was being sarcastic.
  16. And who else thought (for a few seconds) you meant a camera?
  17. Does the B&T work if the inner barrel exceeds the outer barrel threads by up to 12mm?
  18. Is there a specific reason that body part would need more (or specific) protection than any other, I wondered this when a friend expressed an interest in playing.
  19. So it works with FAST helmets?
