  1. All lipo chargers should balance the cells, check that your charger is a balancing charger and always connect via the balancer plug (with three wires going into it)
  2. I can vouch for the ics l85's performance. And i can also vouch for ian's point about spiralling cosrs with tinkering (im up to about 500 quid including the gun, dd rail and attachments)
  3. Were gonna need a bigger [gun] case [insert meme here] And damn, my credit card isnt manly enough to handle that... But my mortgage savings are...
  4. My ics had some funky stuff going on with the hop, so i had a new hop arm made of metal to fix that. Other than that, ive had no feed issues at all, even when using PTS mags instead of ics ones. No gun is perfect, but im quite happy with mine now ive fettled with it a bit
  5. I hear the magwell conversions are crap and give feeding issues, though i havent tried one myself
  6. Thanks fellas, got it sorted today. the chap at Milspec Solutions is sound as a pound and even fitted the new lips for me to save me breaking another
  7. Thanks, i was worried it may have been a bit more expensive
  8. Hey fellas. I picked up a new WE pistol (p228) from my local site yesterday, and being the clumsy fool that i am, dropped a mag on the deck, snapping one of the lips at the top. The magazine still works fine, but wont hold BBs (so it doesnt ACTUALLY work fine...) Is it possible and cost effective to replace the broken lip, or do i just buy a new mag? Thanks guys
  9. ohh... I thought it was a halloween mask... My bad... You do have some nice teeth though... (disaster averted)
  10. And that day... All the kids... Sh#t their pants
  11. Bought a WE p228 at my local site with two spare mags, 145 quid. Then dropped a mag at the end of the day and snapped one of the feeding lips
  12. You could get an army surplus osprey mk4 battle belt. It works well for the lads overseas and it works well for me
  13. Ah, i see Also, i meant making the anti reversal latch accessible without having to open the gun. I know the g&g has a button in the mag well for that
  14. Is it possible to get that with a fet as well? Or by altering the cut off system and rigging up a spring release?
  15. I Play at f&o, usually try to be at every sunday game @ the hive and anzio or bolton about every other week
  16. Chill-out area sounds good, but a 25m + shooting range, with room for at least 3 shooters at once is number one. After that, how about a repair shop? Either pay for a professional to do the work or save by just renting the tools for an hour.
  17. My ics l85 has a unique gearbox and hop unit because it was otherwise impossible to keep the external dimensions the same.
  18. Its not required. In fig 3, wire 1 does the same job as wires 5 and 1 in fig 2
  19. Both setups require both sides of the contacts to be connected. Fig 2 is easiest but needs an extra wire adding to create voltage across the contacts (else there is no trigger signal), fig 3 is simpler to install but requires more wires to be removed in the first place
  20. That looks remarkably like the dynatex bfgs sold at my local site... Maybe theyre the same thing with different names
  21. Infrared radiation is less powerful than visible light of the same quantity, and the tracer unit wouldnt use a beam more powerful than the PIR sensors in your home (the white boxes at ceiling level in the corner of the room, hooked up to your alarm) If it was powerful enough to damage eyesight without staring into the beam, the batteries wouldnt last long at all
  22. Dynatex bfg? My local site sells them and usually has a handful at any one time. I think theres a SWAT bfg as well
  23. No more than glancing at a laser pointer, i wouldnt worry. I also wouldnt stare at it I work with powerful consumer lasers occasionally, the radiation is more powerful than an ir lamp, and they dont cause any damage to eyes unless you stare too long at the beam souece. The visible flash us probably a lower power than a good tac-light or club strobe light as well
  24. Half price Dremel 3000 (amazon ) to "adjust" an aluminium hop arm for my ics l85 that i had custom made but designed wrong-ish
  25. Send an email to Andy Bourne from Tactical Optician. He will know which product is best for you, and after getting hold of my eye-pro from him i cannot reccomend his services enough. Flawless service. [email protected]
