AK mags don't fit in my AVS :S

Scrap that, my number pad being an ass. any chance those elastic pouches that come with the DCS will fit AK mags?

[Appraisal on 2nd WE M4]

Here we have my 2nd WE open bolt M4.

This one is entirely stock internally, all the internals are in good condition.

Externally the gun comes with a 4 x Acog (with trades) with QD mount
Worn paintjob (can be removed by buyer)
Front Grip
Stock Pouch
Dummy PEQ
Front Sling Mount

The gun comes with 5 leak free mags, currently they have HPA adapters in, however I have all the fill valves. Theres a 6th mag which is currently being soaking in silicone as it had a slow leak, this will also be included. Has a HPA adapter ready for it too.

This would be collection only.

Any ideas on a suitable/sensible price would be greatly appreciated.

Just saw them on offer and grabbed one, I had the spring changed by gunfire, It's chronos between 325-327.

 

Thinking of some kind of russian/post apocalyptic look. Going to dirty it up, add some paracord etc.

 

The quality and feel is amazing, for only £30 more than a CYMA they are great, you seen the stress tests? crazy durable

[WE M4 GBBR Appraisal]

Evening Gents,

Considering splitting an open bolt m4 and am wondering how much parts are worth or as an upper/lower. Very good condition, only a couple of minor marks. Trigger box (and internal parts), buffer, stock tube plate and bolt catch are next to new.

Internally:
RA-tech m4al length inner barrel.
Maple leaf bucking and omega nub.
Angry Gun steel hop chamber (stock one still installed)
Custom turned Delrin spacer in buffer
Everything else is stock, in good condition and well maintained.

Externals:
Fitted with Magpul K grip and MOE trigger guard (genuine Magpul, not PTS or clone rubbish)
Also fitted with real-deal MilSpec stock tube, stock plate and castle nut.
DYTAC G Style SMR MK V 9.5" Rail in Dark Earth
QD fitting supressor (inner barrel runs through it)
Clone CTR stock
Aimpont T1
PEQ (faulty)
Polymer BUIS
Aftermarket charging handle.

A price for the whole package and split as a complete upper/complete lower would be helpful.

One thing to note with the upper is the thread is damaged, the rail fits on perfectly still as there is enough thread left to make it rock solid. Bog standard plain uppers are cheap to purchase so I expect this will be reflected in the price.

[Flat Hopping]

I had the same issue, albeit not with the orga barrel. The prowin hop arm ever so slightly needs to be shimmed, I used a tiny bit of thing card on one side, worked a charm, no sanding needed

 

Had this with one prowin and 2 clones, one poly, one metal

So another update, I've added a silencer, VK SHort dot, butterfly charging handle, paracord on the rail, PSG-1 style grip turned up, drilled it out and ran the line through.

 

Waiting on my extended FCU harness to arrive so I can run a different stock.

I play all over when I can. From places such as the mall (CQB) or Fireball which is woodland. A lot of people rate them highly as they just work everywhere.

Barrel Wise = TK twist barrel, PDI, Promethues

Bucking/nub = Maple leaf bucking and arm or R-hop with flat nub.
Use barrel spacers to make sure the inner doesn't move.

Make sure the seals are good and have good consistency.

1) That gun is beyond shit, if you're going for a GBBR avoid AGM. Guessing you're on a low budget, so go for a WE.

 

2) Valid Defence - UKARA, Re-enactor, Valid/active site membership etc

 

3) The Price - Gun $180, shipping $84, $264/ £172. Then add on the tax/duty another £40ish, plus the lovely handling fee that Parcelforce/UPS add £13ish. You've spent £225ish. You can pick a new WE up for £260 in the EU.

Easiest way is via the SDIK by mancraft then you just need to work on the barrel/hop.

 

No need to replace sears or trigger if you got this route

So just a small update for people.

 

My scope has turned up, but still waiting on the parts from Airsoft Peak.

 

I had a rep from P* speak to me and they saw this thread and my two builds, they liked the guns and were grateful I did the guide. On the back of this we ended up speaking about performance and issues, I mentioned I was frustrated about the length of the FCU cable and they offered to send me one of each of my builds both of which are 5" longer than the standard.

 

Brilliant customer service, really nice guys. Thanks Rodd, you did P* justice!!

[WE M4 Upgrades]

I've just picked one up from myself.

 

From what I hear, the bucking and barrel can be upgraded etc.

 

But for all the other parts, just replace them as and when they break with standard WE parts. Apparently a new buffer spring is good too.

Just had a look at the site, the only things that concern me are:

• Lack of physical address (usually means being done out of a bedroom/shed),
• Lack of registered company number.
• Lack of terms & conditions, especially around data and privacy.
• This phrase "You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly."
• Items are standard items that most retailers stock.

That being said, always happy to use new retailers Most of my spend is now with 1 or 2 new retailers.

 

As you've only just started I can imagine it will take a while for the ball to get rolling, but best of luck.
