Did anybody ever order a RIF for these guys?

As someone who's job is based on negotiating and understanding contracts, I can offer some basic facts and advice:

Firstly the retailer sadly has no requirement to offer a refund beyond the 30 days (as of the consumer act 2015)

They can however, offer a replacement or repair, the choice of which is the consumers. So you ARE well within your rights to request an exact replacement, if you didn't want a repair.

 

In addition to this, they have to action it in reasonable time, which is the standard 28 days or if you're clever you can ask other retailers to email you on how quick they would do it. If they say 5 days then that becomes reasonable time and if they can't complete it in that time, then you can request a refund,

 

I myself had this with a shield tablet recently, long story short, they had the item back for 3 weeks I spoke to Nvidia who confirmed they could of replaced it in 3 days. A stern email later and some other gentle persuations I got a full refund 90 days after the purchase.

They are essentially A&K, they are ok for starter guns, good thing about TG is that they'll downgrade for free.

Out the box they could do with shimming and AOE, but other than that they're OK

Thanks all, I'll hold off till I see some reviews of the MK2, I was tempted by the CRB but I currently have the TM Scar. I'm a bit split by what to do as I tend to favor Sniping. The TM is a great gun but it's a lot of money sitting there. I was tempted to sell it all as a nice package, buy the Krytac which everyone says is an awesome bit of kit and pocket what's left.

Don't suppose you'd be interested in a swap/PX for that Scar?

One of the things I didnt like about the Krytac is that it comes with a plastic flash hider which I believe is secured by a recessed grub screw and glue. Have asked the shop tech to remove it for me and fit a standard 14mm metal flash hider.

It's comes off easy enough fella, I had to remove the one on my PDW. I got the PDW as my primary in CQB, perfect for tight corners

 

They are great guns, try and find the 30k motor version as opposed to the 20k. Slighter better trigger response and ROF.

After thinking and thinking about the Krytac CRB I descovered the SPR and thought, maybe that would be a better gun for me seeing I mostly play outdoors and at mid-long range. However as with most of the Trident range they're nearly OOS in the UK, Just noticed that Krytac will be releasing the MK2 of the Trident range in the coming months, do we know how these will differ?

I've a Krytac I'm selling actually buddy 30k motor version, started life as a CRB.

 

I purchased the PDW version so it's no longer needed.

 

As for the V2, theres some chatter on the forums. From what I can see, it's mainly the range of guns as opposed to any internal changes. The LVOA, LMG, Vector at some point.

Wondering what sort of price I could get for an upgraded Gspec (JG).

Internals are as follows:

Airsoft Pro Trigger

Maple leaf bucking and nub

Currently has an orda 6.23 installed (430mm) runs about 2/3 into the suppressor

3-5x Scope

Potentially a modelworks stock

It's currently shooting at 360 +/- 2 FPS with the Orga barrel installed. With the laylax barrel it goes up to about 400ish.

I've not skirmished this since the upgrades and have only put a few rounds through it to test consistency and hop, I've nowhere to test the range currently, however the flight path was nice and straight on .3's. Bolt action is nice and smooth, this will only get better once parts bed in, however I've kept everything well maintained.

In addition I have a modelworks stock which needs to be modded to fit due to the airsoft pro trigger.

I have 2 VSR's currently and am looking at purchasing a TM recoil, so wonder what kind of price I could get for this one.

Depends if you have a WE or a TM... different bits are of different quality on each gun.

 

Also, when you say 'upgrade' what aspect of the gun's performance or aesthetics do you want to improve? Range, kick, cycle speed, gas efficiency? Some of them are mutually exclusive!

Evening all,

 

I'm considering upgrading my WE G17 and was wondering what you guys would suggest upgrade wise?

I'm looking for a snappier response and durability. Range and accuracy wise, I'm guessing the Maple leaf barrel, hop unit and bucking is a good shout.

 

I've not personally upgraded a GBB pistol before, so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Technically no, but not everyone looking to buy a RIF *IS* an airsofter, or a skirmisher able to provide UKARA or site membership,

 

Hell....some of the people on FB don't even use them for airsoft.

I think that some people coming here from FB will hopefully add to the sport, knowledge and general fun of the forum....However I do think we should all be vigilante with regards to scammers and people trying to illegally obtain RIF's
