Went a bit mad this week. Started with a used from the classifieds here WE Apache MP5 with the fixed/sliding stock and the A2/flash light hand guard and 3x 45 rd mags. When I picked it up I was offered a WE Sig 226 for a great price so picked that up as well. Later in the week I passed Patrol Base to pick up a battery and BB’s and while wondering around the shop decided the MP5 needed a suppressor, modern hand guard, foregrip and another suppressor. Looking forward to using it on Sunday, just need to have a play around and set it up. Very happy I now have the MP5 look from Die Hard and all the other 80’s action films but I’m not looking at the classifieds for a couple of months.!!!!!4 points

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

I went up to Blackstone in Huntington again yesterday. Upstairs was out of use as they're redecorating and the supposedly dry in 48 hours paint was still wet, despite being done on Tuesday, but this wasn't a problem as numbers were low at only 15. It was my first time using a traser and i noticed straight away how much of a difference it makes knowing exactly where your shots are going All in all it was another excellent day despite the heat and the only negative was rushing to get the train with a minute to spare only to find out it had been cancelled4 points -

TM AKX Thoughts and Recommendations
HZR13 and 2 others reacted to CptJefferson for a topic
Ah - where do I even start. The Tokyo Marui AKX is where it all started for me, my first ever airsoft gun. Some say I jumped straight into the deep end with it but if you ask me, it’s the only way to do it. A gun I’ll never sell, I’ve even started stocking up on spares to further future proof it. I’ve had it close to 2 years now and I now own 5 guns including an M4 MWS, I can comfortably say the AKX is still my favourite of the bunch, never skipped a beat on me. the only ever time it failed on was in the middle of winter at around 2 degrees Celsius on an outdoor field on full auto, the nozzle wasn’t sealing as it had completely frozen up. I warmed up the bolt and mag with my hands and it was back to normality - this issue is totally normal for gas guns in cold temperatures. I must say, the gun shoots exceptionally well out of the box - my first 3 skirmishes I had ran it completely stock internally and it done just fun (as expected from a Tokyo Marui) however it did lack a little punch, so I updated the following: (I went balls deep in on the upgrades) - tight bore inner 6.01mm barrel 250mm length, which yes - does slightly stick out of the front when the muzzle is off. Some people did say it was too tight for an auto capable gun, to which I would ever so slightly agree I think the 6.03mm barrels would do just fine. But the 6.01 never let me down and enables absolute laser beams. - QU4D hop rubber, at first i put in as experimental because they were new on the market - it’s safe to say I haven’t looked back and now have one in my MWS. - 70degree hop nub, you can comfortably hop .30g BBs stock, I just went the extra mile. - ibex NPAS, great little unit would recommend holds its adjustment without fail. - Bavtac 115% recoil spring, you’ll realise quickly the stock spring feels very sluggish and lifeless. Again, would recommend if you’re after that snappy realistic bolt kick. - heavy recoil bolt weight, in all honesty probably not needed. I’ve also bought a Airtac HPA adaptor, lines and tank for it too but nowadays I’m after realism, I’m currently running 6 gas mags. (The reloads are just too satisfying). I won’t bother going into the furniture but one thing I would say is to change out the stock, it’s in my opinion the worst thing about the gun. all in all, I’m about £1,500.00 into and yes it’s a lot of money for what is in reality a toy. Would I do it again if I didn’t have the AKX, yes I fucking would. Honestly for anyone thinking of getting an AKX or even the AKM - what a platform it is. (I can assure you that the grip is now on the gun the correct way round ?)3 points -

Seems all of his listings are taking the piss. Gate titan for £100, £109 brand new from PatrolBase Magpul AFG in the same horrible paint scheme £25, £29 brand new from LandWarrior Action Army 45k motor for £60 or a brand new one from Cage Airsoft (Who tend to be expensive af) for £68 The only “good” deal is the acetech tracer but again in a horrible paint job (Not that I can talk, looking at the hideous g36 I bought…)3 points -

Hey Ben, quick business tip: VFC products are manufactured in Taiwan and ProAct is their primary wholesaler in-country. So much so that you can special order any VFC part off-catalogue and they'll send a guy out to collect it from VFC. Products imported to HK have wholesale deals but are still paying for shipping and then a little bit for the shop itself. WGC and the rest are great, but there's a bit of extra being put on there to keep their lights on. It makes a lot more sense to buy from Proact on a wholesale account using large orders as previously mentioned. You can get some great deals that way! Hope this helps you grow your business.3 points -

Guys, im gonna say this one time, play nice, no name calling etc, & here we judge people by their conduct HERE, not on lesser platforms in years gone by. The ignore option is there for a reason, ive got a few members on mine, suggest if you don't like or agree with someone's opinion, block them so you don't see them & feel the need to get in to a row.3 points

T238 Nano Traser
HZR13 and 2 others reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
The Nano tracer, as the name suggests, is the smallest traser unit made by T238 measuring 23mm by 53mm, making it roughly the size of a C cell battery and perfect for pistols and SMGs. Retailing at £30 I wanted to see if it's as good a bargain as it seems. It comes boxed with a very short charging cable and an adapter to fit 11mm pistol muzzle which brings us to me making a boo boo. The traser unit has reverse threads and after checking the fit of the adapter I accidentally tried to remove it turning it the wrong way with a pair of pliers for extra grip. I didn't put much pressure on it and the whole 11mm threads snapped off. This is 100% my fault but does make me question the quality of the metal used for it to break so easily. Fortunately I was able to get the thing off and fitted it to my MP5K. It has shake to wake with a cut off after 20 minutes of not moving. Oh and it also works with red traser bbs. In both testing and use in game yesterday in worked flawlessly with every bb being lit up brightly making it easy to adjust for any second shots Now the negatives. First there's the question of the strength of the adapter mentioned earlier. Next is the front and back end caps are both made of a frosted colourless plastic so every time the traser goes off the whole area around you is bathed in a blue light. I ended up covering them with gorilla tape to block it out but in the future I might take it apart and paint those bits. The last minus point is another small one. There's no master on/off switch so while travelling to and from site every time the traser unit moves it's switching itself on. Not a big problem but something to bear in mind. All in all I'd say it's a good piece of kit and at half the price of a Brighter C traser an option for those on a tighter budget 7/10 for now. If it does decide to play up I'll post it here3 points -
