Having a morning playing around with toys. 1st purchased a couple of weeks ago, WE Apache MP5K. Lovely gun, spotless condition came with 5 mags to give me enough to field a whole game (with the other 3 I already have). Local site have opened an indoor CQB and I think this is the coolest way to play the game. I have added an e-shooter tracer unit for the full laser beam effect 2nd Completed the DMR upgrade to the LCT G3, maple leaf 6.02 510mm stainless barrel, 4uantum hop rubber and nub and m130 spring. Shooting 1.88J on .36 BB’s like a laser. Had the selector modified to only shoot semi. After a couple of games it decided to shoot only full auto? Modified the trigger contacts as it was arcing giving the full auto then it decided not to fire at all. Now fitted a e shooter mosfet to solve those problems and now it’s shooting very well with a very short trigger pull. Modernised with the LCT m lok handguard and an unknown fore grip from the box of parts, trying to make this monster easier to handle, might look at adding a small bipod to the front but not convinced it will get used and just add weight? Any thoughts? 3rd WE Apache MP5, modernised with a Cyma m lok handguard to keep it looking like the G3. Had to modify it with a hacksaw to make it fit, like the look and it gives me options for torches and tracers for CQB or fore grips for woodland.4 points

I honestly don't think that's the solution, you might get odd looks in daylight... you'll get a cavity search by the polis doing it at night.3 points -

The fact that you asked the question proves your not a complete and utter idiot. However if your seriously considering this, then you not far off! SERIOUSLY DO NOT DO IT. If anyone sees you they will almost certainly call the police on you which will probably result in an armed response. At the best you will then spend a few hours in the cop shop while they question you and look into your background. As well as the possible consequences for you it is another mark against airsoft.2 points

For bolt actions with that budget, and sticking with springers (because I'd 100% buy a gas bolt action if it was me, but I'm weird), I'd go with a Tac-41 Lite with the recon stock. The lite stock is cheaper, but... it doesn't inspire me. The recon stock looks more sturdy and more useful. Still, Tac-41 Lite with recon stock is around £350, so that leaves £50 for a chub nub, a slightly uprated spring (I believe they come out of the box at around 1.9J or so, but I could be wrong), maybe a suppressor and some spare mags. Then if you really like it, there are plenty of other parts you can get, internal and external. Other people can probably talk more about what you can do with the Tac-41 as I don't have one myself, but I do think they're the best bolt action on the market for performance. I just don't like them myself.1 point

I have the b&t spr300. It is by far the best sniper rifle out of the box I've used and I've used a lot. I only have extra mags for it, and upgraded the spring power and it still works just fine after a year.1 point -

Has anyone tackled this project? I was wondering if anyone has done one and not used the S&T M203 as it seems they're discontinued. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/gm-94-for-airsoft-s-t-m203-conversion-kit1 point -

Too many TBH. I already have a WE L85A2 on it's way. What about a bullpup for a change? Most will use Stanags so no need for new mags.1 point -
Thanks for all your replies 👍 You pretty much echo my thoughts on it. I just wanted to know if it was legal or not. I sometimes get odd looks when I'm out hiking in full camo gear, but I don't care what anyone thinks. I love using military kit when I'm out hiking for the day or an overnight camp. I thought it might be a good idea to go out and test my scratch-built webbing while I'm out for the day. If I do it, I think it's probably better to do it in the dark where it's less likely that anyone will see me. Thanks again 👍1 point

Public webbing walk?

OP - I'd swap the 'can' in your posed question with 'should'. I think in this hobby it's really worth stepping outside of our little bubble and taking a look at ourselves from an outsider's perspective. Our hobby is fucking weird. 'Oh yeah, at the weekend I dress up like a soldier and run around with other grown men, but also children, and play with toy guns. Sometimes I like to wear my soldier costume in my house and look at myself in the mirror. Oh yeah that's the wall in my office that I've dedicated to hanging all my toy guns on so I can stare at them.' Yes, we all know we're a bunch of harmless dorks who love a weekend of BB wars as an alternative to a 5-a-side match or a round of golf. To the general public (especially in today's intolerance fuelled culture of performative indignation) we're the people they should make laws about to make our streets and public spaces safer, only the army should be allowed to have military equipment, why can't they just play paintball... you get the idea.1 point -

You'll need a 3d printed barrel shim and if you buy this let me know and I'll give you the file. It gets glued/epoxied inside the barrel nut and keeps the NGRS barrel from falling out1 point -

Any pics I post are always a bit naf so trying something a little different. Don't really have a 'studio' area I can use & don't fancy trudging up & down stairs to utilise the garden (esp in a wet & windy Scotland) or the tiled flooring in my conservatory so my mancave floor will have to do. Honest opinions on the simple carpet background please...1 point -
