Another new member (Dutch) but not another noob: due to health issues I had to make cuts and two years ago I decided to sell my airsoft collection. I regretted that step but life sometimes stinks. I hoped to return one day. That day has come. Happy days. Dutch airgun forums meanwhile are dead, sad... Being an avid airgunner I have been involved is the UK scene quite a few years now and learned to appreciated the UK spirit, every man needs a shed (to tinker), and visited several HFT weekends in the UK from north to south. Airsoftwise I prefer pistols and am interested in Tokyo Marui. Two weeks ago I started collecting again, sold a couple of airguns, went to my local RFD for a TM hi-capa and a 1911 railgun and ordered 2 springers and a GBB 92 in Germany as well as a Taiwanese GBB Desert Eagle in Poland, which kicks like a mule and is quite a lot to behold. I can't skirm, only collect and do paper target shooting, nevertheless I hope I can learn a lot onhere and maybe contribute as well.4 points

Welcome. I also sold/swapped airguns to get into Airsoft. Much more fun, sociable and energetic. Still new here myself, I spend far too much time in the classifiied section on here, and on YouTube looking at their reviews. Spent a bit of time in the Netherlands, love the north especially. Stunning scenery and great people. Rick2 points

Thanks for your input folks. I think I'll make at least one more, the Para. version, and maybe another depending on what raw materials I have left.2 points -

Having done up a replica G3 from an old TM version made from parts. I wanted a scope on it, but didn't just want an ordinary scope and didn't wanna pay for the scope that goes with the gun in the real world. Anyhoo, I started with a cheap 4x40 normal scope and cut it down. Emptied it out and put a bit of 30mm pipe on the back. I had a TM MP5 claw mount and cut the top off, filling any gaps in with milliput. A friend 3d printed some spacers and I glued them to the scope I was using. I glued various spare caps on and put a real G36 3x inner scope part to have some sort of sight picture through it. Sprayed up black and flip up end caps to finish. A bit later on I decided I wanted the more modern type lower that I'd seen with the German soldiers in Afghanistan. I used a cheap MP5 Navy lower and filled in the embossed bullet symbols. Sprayed it with bumper paint and drew on the selector markings. I bought a real selector lever from D&B Militaria and drilled a new hole to slot it right through to the other side. It may feel like a long winded way of making it but apart from the lower I already had and the selector which was only a couple of quid all it cost me was a bit of time.2 points

CYMA MP5 Nozzle Length
Colin Allen reacted to Tws-Airsoft for a topic
21.55mm is the length of the stock CYMA Platinum nozzle from information found, most go with a 21.5mm for replacement1 point -
I have a TM AKM and it's great. Shoots like a dream and is very efficient. I'll get a wood kit for it eventually, but my MWSs took priority.1 point

Welcome back, I always say that Airsoft is like the mafia, no one ever really gets out lol. Please take your time to acquaint yourself with the forum rules, in particular the rules regarding airguns, can't be sold or even discussed here. Other than that, enjoy🍻1 point

Radar 1957 Glock 17 Level 3 Holster - Help!
ButcherBill reacted to Austeyr for a topic
Managed to fix it. In case anybody else runs into this issue: The looped part sits in the recess, the two arms need to be bent over so they sit on top of the looped part and then the whole block slides into the holster. It's very fiddly. I ended up using an m4 AEG trigger pin to hold the spring in place so I could bend it over and then knocked said pin out with the main holster pin1 point -
An update for anyone who is interested or may learn something from my shenanigans As well as buying the Hadron Pegasus I went a bit further overboard, with a Sniper Mechanics GBB cylinder head and a WASP piston, and if the TAC-41 P still disappoints me (as a DMR player) after this I'll call it quits on sniping. So with all of this installed, using a Rapax 2+ RMS spring and the heaviest piston weight, it's off to my brothers farm for testing it at range (comparing it to my DMR). With the hop set reasonably well I'm finally getting the range I'd expect to, around 70+ meters, compared to around 55/60+ for my DMR, but when I get home this turns out to be at around 2.4 J on 0.48g BB's Now I'm getting a very good air seal (along with a little PTFE tape on the cylinder heads thread), and using the heaviest piston weight, but it's too hot. So with further testing I'm now on the lightest plastic weight and getting around 2.25 J which I'm going to stick with. With the Imgur ban in the UK, f**king idiot Government, I won't share any images but for reference hear are the piston weights... # Stock AEG Piston: 51g # Heaviest WASP Piston: 120g # Lightest WASP Piston: 6g Now I need to pop back to the farm for some more testing at range...1 point

Awesome work mate, back in the days when I was working I would definitely have commissioned of these lovely unique pieces. IF you make one more whoever gets it is one lucky Son of a Bitch.1 point

"Cheap" often becomes expensive down the line with GBBRs. You can get a Golden Eagle M4 with 2 or 3 additional mags for under £400 but the Western Arms gas platform it's based on is somewhat dated and getting spare parts and upgrades can be a challenge later on. Double Eagle's MWS-compatible GBBRs are arguably the most price-competitive you'll find at the moment and lots of parts can be shared across TM, including mag fill valves when they (not the gasket) leak. Upgrades are easy to do if you're reasonably technical. Vorsk has a AR-based GBBR due out next year (expected in the first half) with MWS mag compatibility but pricing and details on the hop unit, trigger box, etc are TBC. I'd guess these will be even more afforable than the DE MWS GBBRs. Another consideration you really ought to make is that now we're in much cooler if not colder temperatures, you should expect your running costs to go up. "Red" or "black" gas cost more money as green gas becomes less practical (if at all) in cooler temperatures. You can use hand warmers to keep your mags warm when you're running green gas but that's something you'll have to keep a close eye on to make sure you're not running a hot gun. Other expenses include lightweight bolts/carriers and with if you use higher pressure gas, there are NPAS and fixed power-down valves to throw into the mix.1 point

S&T/AGM MG42 Bipod failure!
rsvpiper reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
i recall having a similar failure, think i tapped through and ran a bolt through, iirc the head of the bolt restricted the amount it could tilt but that just meant it was easier to leave the gun sitting on its own. surplus might be an option, think some of the later/foreign adaptions of the platform would be sufficiently compatible and not have the "ww2 german" tax.1 point -

Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic
Daveoc33 reacted to Sifu Steve for a topic
I love it, but I've wanted one for about 25 years. This one's on the gun picture thread as I finally finished it this week. It's Cyma, but one of their more expensive models, so as stock it performs as well as you'd expect. Obviously, the real niche is the magazine. Reloading takes some drilling but I've got it down to about 5-6 seconds now (mag out, new mag in, old mag in pouch). The low-caps hold about 190 BBs and I tend to run 4 + 1 hi-cap backup (~1000). Magazine storage seems to be an issue for many but I repurposed my P90/UMP double mag pouches and they're perfect. Ergonomically, it's well balanced, heavy (full metal) and the chunky 'foregrip' of the magazine feels great in my clown-sized hands 😄. I completely removed the stock on mine as a preference for airsoft, but it can be operated with the stock folded usually. Accessories are limited, even by AK standards. I had to fit the 2 front side rails myself using a massively over-engineered improv. The shortened cover and receiver may also cause problems. Obviously, there's no front grip options. Mine's been kitted out with Zenitco repros and other Russian stuff simply for authenticity- style beats substance for me every time. All told, it's my current favourite (don't tell my KS-1 😄), but I'd certainly recommend holding one before you pull the trigger on a shopping cart, as it does seem to be a bit 'Marmite'. Sorry if that was TMI...1 point -

Are Glock 17 and 18 exhaust valves universal
Defender90 reacted to Wegalaxy for a topic
Hello, I own a Vorsk EU 18. The exhaust valve is broken. I have seen this exhaust valve on AliExpress. Are most Glock valves interchangeable? https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIZGeui (Out put valve A) Thanks1 point -
Are Glock 17 and 18 exhaust valves universal
Defender90 reacted to MistakenMexican for a topic
So to answer the title of the thread: No. some brands of glock have slightly different exhaust valves. But generally speaking most modern GBB glocks all use the same exhaust valve. To answer the actual question, I’m fairly sure the valve you’ve linked on AliExpress will fit.1 point
