I just think it's best to stick to the rules we have been given I've been sending guns for 20 years and not had one single issue, imagine telling someone to use a different service and that one time it goes tit's up because of your advice, it would suck You don't get any enhanced compensation but you can insure accessories Retailers are allowed to use 24 because it's a business account3 points -

Tackle reacted to MistakenMexican for a topic
Just keep in mind that if the seller has dropped it off at the post office and ordered the PF24 service, It’s 24 hrs from collection from PF, not 24 hrs from being dropped off at the post office. I had an upset buyer about a year back because I sent a RIF via PF48 and it took nearly a week to arrive with him. I live in a reasonably rural area, about an hour from the nearest PF depot. However my local post office is only a 15 minute drive. I dropped my PF consignment off at the post office on a Saturday, and PF didn’t pick it up until Wednesday. The tracking didn’t activate until it was scanned in by the PF courier… so from the customer’s end, it looked like I was messing them about. Even though I had a receipt to show it had been dropped off. He was patient and it worked out in the end. But it’s easy to understand why he got upset given he paid for 48hr shipping and it took 3 days to collect.1 point -

No problem, FYI the seller has replied to me via email, says it was collected on Wednesday afternoon so should be with you soon. He also said he'll be in touch, so hopefully all be sorted on monday-ish ?. Sometimes the pick up times, if they're in the pm, can add an extra day to getting in to the system.1 point -

GE 870 shotgun HPA conversion
Cannonfodder reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
OK, I've added an hpa valve to my GE 870- a bit of testing in the garden, and it's spot on! Finally the shotgun is a usable item. It was chronoing at circa 1j on about 100PSI, with a usable range of about 45m on. 25s. Mine is the version with the buffer tube and m4 LE stock, so the only downside is that the stock doesn't now collapse all the way as the valve pokes out the bottom of the buffer tube, but I've cut the stock such that it can collapse all but the last cm or so. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my view if you already have the Hpa tank/reg/line....1 point -

Some good advice above. I have always sent RIF's over the past 15 years odd PF 24 and never had an issue - and I never take it to the post office and instead get it collected. I have also had them sent to me that way just fine too. Enhanced compensation isn't available if you send it 48h or 24h anyway so you are at the mercy of the system regardless and my thinking is "if its going to go wrong, I'd rather it go wrong fast" when it comes to posting things, so that I can react to the issue just as fast. Luckily I think PF have gotten a lot better over the years, especially iow they are more under Royal Mail. I had an issue sending a guitar once but they fixed it quick. Also, even if you do lose something that is covered, I believe they would make it very hard to claim anyway.1 point -

I've emailed him, if you've had no response or update on the tracking by Wednesday pm I'd consider initiating a paypal dispute. If you do open a dispute, be aware that if you then cancel it you can't then start another one for the same transaction, so you never stop it unless you receive the item, or a full refund, irrespective of what excuses a seller gives you.1 point -

Hoping I've got the model name right on this one 🤡 Bought this very recently but almost immediately became surplus to requirement when I acquired yet another Bizon. Was going to strip the metal with some steel wool and weather it up but figured I'd let someone more appreciative get a hold of it before I get back on my bullshit. In overall great condition with the exception of some scuffs and marks on the lower handguard. Internals all seem to be stock but it performs about as admirably as a £300-ish RRP gun ought to. The fire rate is fine, the range isn't anything to write home about but its not bad either. I've stock guns that performed much much worse than this hefty little unit. I don't know the FPS as I don't have a working chrono anymore but from using advanced technological methodology known as 'looking with my own two eyeballs' I wouldn't say its anything awful and it was lifting 0.28's 25m down to the end of the garden without any dipping. There's no drops in FPS leading to stray BB's falling short at all, and the overall accuracy is pretty good. I'd imagine your favourite flavour of hop up packing and nub is all you'd need to make this into a solid workhorse. Top wired to mini-tamiya Oh and the mags are horrible plastic high-caps. They function totally fine, they just cheapen the feel of what is otherwise a very solid and quite hefty gun. I'm just including them as these were what came with the gun and I don't have any other spare AK mags to hand sadly. If you buy this and like it enough to make it your skirmish weapon and haven't given this beautiful gun the new mags it deserves by your second match I will sneak into your home and take a leak in your kettle. Happy to post but new job keeps me out of the house until quite late in the evening. Worst case scenario; I'm free on Saturday mornings and can post it then. Feel free to ask any questions, request specific pictures, videos of it in action etc. etc. Postage is £10 due to weight. Open to reasonable offers£180

Certain Blank Firing Guns are now illegal in the UK.
Cannonfodder reacted to novioman for a topic
Had the same with air cartridge guns, no compensation and hand them in unless you want to put them on FAC, what happened, 60-80 thousand went underground according to Home Office figures. Same will happen here. The majority of owners who aren’t on forums or buy newspapers won’t even know about the amnesty unless they put out a lot of TV & radio messages to warn owners.1 point -
