  1. I've always wanted to make an in-depth Combat Diver loadout, after I've once played with a wetsuit (in the water, yes). So ...

BTW, my other pass-time ins cycling. So I've been looking at these: Its the BSA paratrooper bicycle, they dropped them with the troops so they could move to their objective faster. They come apart in the middle for transportation. Unfortunately they cost a fortune but one day I might afford the Pashley replica and attach fake connectors to the tubes They were apparently a very common choice of bike in certain areas of Holland in the late 40's-50's, can't think why

    Gun picture thread

The new love of my life, the ASG Sten MKII Click photos for larger version If you look at Youtube reviews, they all have a plain box and single side of A4 manual, well not anymore apparently. The box even has the text of Winston Churchill's 'fight them on the beaches' speach Stick battery fits in the stock (8.4v comes with it, room for at least a 9.6), a brick lipo would fit inside the body of the gun by removing the piece with the ironsight. The stock then bolts back on with a single allen bolt. Magazine release is externally mounted on the mag well (push to release) There is also a catch visible on the left which allows the magwell to rotate vertical for easier transportation, this also gives access to the hop adjustment, which is done with an allen key through a hole in the top. Note the BSA markings, this is an official replica. Also note the simplified controls, the fire selector switch has for ease of use been incorporated into the trigger. Safety mode is achieved by not pulling the trigger, full auto is obtained by pulling the trigger and semi auto would require reflexes of superhuman level to release the trigger fast enough. Everything is steel, except the very tip of the barrel where theres a bit of plastic to keep the inner barrel in place.

A tank? As in well built? Are you kidding? He's a total computer, star wars and lego nerd, 'bout as scrawny as they come lol. I agree about him though, his videos are probably the best I've seen, he's good at editing, gets the audio balance right, cuts things at the right times and doesn't show footage if it's boring. The only thing I hate is that he only started airsofting about 4 months ago, and because he's a YouTube celebrity he's just been given all the best shit ever straight away. He doesn't really have any concept of the value of a lot of the things he has, I don't mean monetary value either, I mean he doesn't realise how badly lots of people want the stuff he has, he has no concept of how, why or to what extent the things he gets handed for free are sought after so he'll just rephrase the stats sheet the shop read out to him. He's done videos on the WE MSK, he's got a Polarstar M4 etc etc. anyone else would kill someone for that stuff, he just gets handed it for free by Airsoft GI because they're using him as a walking talking advert. His video comments are littered with people asking for advice but the guy doesn't have a clue. It's like watching a baby jump in the deep end of a swimming pool, but then enjoy drowning. It's annoying to watch, there's a sense of contempt about him that just grates on me.

£80 on soldier of fortune, though I'm told that's a bit steep and I should only look to pay £50. You planning to do this build too? Hmm if only we had someone who deals in WW2 gear on this forum *cough*armysurplusandtoys*cough* Further research tells me that the smock I ordered may actually be a Norwegian post war smock. Doesn't matter much, the camo is about right. I notice armysurplusandtoys is selling a denison smock if anyone else falls into remus's trap

  9. That's my pet hate about his videos. He essentially made Daedalus famous because he'd show him firing a single shot - because he used a gas rifle and they're in Scotland, so that's probably all it ever did - and then he'd show someone getting hit, that he'll have filmed from another location, hours later. People had the impression that Daedalus was a crack shot and he'd hit people with a single shot at ridiculous ranges and it's just pure bollocks. It's never the person who gets hit in the video, that he actually shows getting hit, it's just a phenomenally annoying editing trick.

  10. ... Until you realise that half the hits that Scout claims are those of the featured players are teammates calling hit. For example, Scout was filming a guy next to me, I get shot. on the video, the text comes up saying that it was Nash's kill.

Videos like his do nothing for me. Ed on the other hand has nailed airsoft filmography for me. I dont know if its because were both northern and thus sacred bretheren of the brotherhood of whippets and flatcaps, but somehow whenever i watch one of his videos i just really really wanna go airsofting. Though this is a sentiment/conpliment that i dont share often enough.

Ah, but you know what he has got going for him which trumps all other considerations? He's not a fucking yank.

  13. Scout cuts pieces of different weeks footage together to make it look good. I was in one a few months ago. The clip showed a game from first thing in the morning. I was shooting at someone while getting filmed. Apparently, the BB took so long to hit the other player that it had become evening when he called hit. I do have a lot of respect for Scout, but his videos are quite manufactured. I prefer to watch GoPro or Contour footage (such as my own content *SHAMELESS PLUG TIME* which will start uploading on the channel linked in my signature next week) as it is much easier to tell when they have spliced in different clips.
