I’ve intentionally bought two items from SixMM. I wonder if I’ll get two scented candles instead of what I ordered? Maybe it’ll never be delivered? Who knows?

I've made a few orders (albeit not if i can help it!) - its all turned up eventually, but wow, does it take an age.

They estimated a month however I suspect half of that time will be spent ai generating a "sorry we haven't fulfilled this order due to X and we can't refund you because it's been over the threshold time" email 😂

My latest purchase so now have an AK platform from SMG to LMG and definitely the last for a while although managed to find some reasonably priced magazines in Germany that are on their way so it will be skirmish ready unlike the Bizon as I cannot find any mag pouches for its 4 magazines yet

You and me both. I have my fingers firmly crossed that something actually shows up. Hopefully it'll even be the items I ordered!

Shockingly they dispatched my order already. That's unusual for them 😂

Not a lot but bought a Type 56 style AK sling and trying to decide if it should stay on an AK74 or the PP19..although for 11 quid each on amazon may just buy one for each rifle I have..... Also bought a set of fully functioning Ratnik 6M2 active amplifier ear defenders from truemobster!

£11 for a repro sling?

https://www.dandbmilitaria.com/ak-akm-russian-sling-ur-2b £10 for legit slings that will last a lot longer!

Had a successful game day last weekend with the OSW

It’d be remiss not to treat it to an upgrade and a little add on as a treat

The steel sling point fits beautifully, and feels way nicer than the Magpul one I had on previously as a place holder

I’m still dicking around with the hand stop to find an optimal position for it, I may flip it round and have it forward a touch

Lidl find. £4 I think.

No vents so I'm gonna take a Dremel to it later and make some holes. Fit nicely over my glasses.

Not sure if of interest to anyone.

Make sure they're actually rated for airsoft and be careful with cutting into them, it could weaken the lenses and cause them to lose their strength

My plan was a few 4 or 5mm holes on the top and bottom of the frame, not to touch the lenses themselves. Would that be ok? I think I'll shoot them a few times before I rely on them. Id like a better quality set for sure. I also wear glasses which I assume adds an extra layer of safety?

But I really know bugger all about airsoft and would never argue with the experts...

EN 166 B is the lowest rating for airsoft, these look to be EN 166 F which would be not airsoft safe

If like me you need glasses to be able to see, I've been using these with inserts for the past 7 years: https://www.bztactical.co.uk/nuprol-battle-pro-eye-protection-with-insert-grey-frame-smoke-lens and have taken many a shot to the lenses with them and survived. I would recommend something full seal though honestly. Bloc are highly rated and I am tempted to jump over to them myself however the pricing is a bit off putting - However you can't really replace an eye should it get damaged so 🤷‍♂️ My Dad uses a Dye mask over his glasses (Which are quite a large frame) too which is another good option!

Great reply and suggestions, thanks.

I have been using the full face masks at the site I shoot at, although I did buy my son his own mask.

I think I will get a full face mask as suggested.

We both wear cheapish goggles when target shooting in the garage with paintball and now airsoft as there's no one shooting back at us. That's really what I brought these for.

Cheers.

Rick.
