Iranian Embassy MP5

I'm not a fan of Mark Felton video's as they tend to be a bit 'dry', but this one made me feel pretty good about my MP5 DIY build.

It was a fairly interesting video of his. As you say he is a bit dry get much better videos from Ian on forgotten weapons and Jonathan furgason on royal armoureries page.

Seemed more about the raid itself , given its title I was hoping to see it ( the mp5 and its custom WL ) all broken down a bit more but nice to see all the same

Thats right, he was with me & the other 500 guys on the balcony 😉

That balcony is an engineering miracle, just to support the weight of all 900 SAS operatives on it at one time.

The main issue with Felton is that, despite being an established historian, the guy doesn't check his vids and even gets caught using Wiki word-for-word on occasion. That said, his vids are generally enjoyable, hence the large view count he gets, and he knows this for sure.

I think 'established historian' is generous. He's a pop-history writer with a YouTube channel. A lot of his videos have turned out to be complete bollocks as well. I was a fan of his many years ago but I don't trust any of his claims anymore.

My take on it too. 

 

@ButcherBill are you able to adapt or alter your mount/torch. 

just i would cut a gap between the mounting holes on the torch.

Indeed; Felton is an excellent self publicist who has made a career out of somewhat over sensationalised and sometimes historically dubious books and, in particular, his YT channel.

Give it another decade and we will all be nostalgic about the ten minute video format. TikTok historian is quite a monstrous concept.

Give it 10 years and YouTubers will be retired or jobless due to AI videos taking over.

It's amazing the way it already starting to clog up the results page. Top ten/five videos featuring computer generated voices and nothing but stock footage. 

Not exactly hoverboards and flying cars. 

 

Still at some stage we might get a Tokyo Marui GBB Hi Power. Which would go nicely with an Iranian Embassy loadout.

You never know. I have the we hipower MK3 and the original p35 they aren't bad guns but they are WE so bound to fail before long.

Yeah, I'm also tempted to move the switch gear to the side but I'm happy with it for now. still got plenty of pipe & conduit left over.

Had a tangent sight WE quite a few years back. Worked okayish as a holster filler but you're quite right, matter of when it would give up the ghost.

 

TM P320 seems to be making progress (ignoring real steel problem), so we might get a Browning at some stage.

AI is definitely going to corner the slop market but it's nowhere near replacing actual content tbh
