Getting shots part of the game, even if you're this guy, if no one shoots him he's not getting the full immersive experience. 

Although they should have gone full "A-Team" with his wheels, or at least mounted a 249 on it

Easy decision for me. I'm equal opportunities. I shoot anyone on the opposing side.

 

If you're well enough to play and shoot, you're well enough to be shot.

And it's intended to blind and dazzle. As they said at the Depot brief "We don't want someone finding out they're epileptic while standing at the top of the stairs."
