Ron_Lancs Posted December 2 Share Posted December 2 Good evening / when you read this. I am getting bb’s stuck in my hop up at the bottom where it meets the magazine but doesn’t fire. So when I take the mag out some fall out and I dry fire to make safe I checked and there seems to be one left over in the chamber but it moves freely and I have to use the unjamming rod to free it. it’s not the nozzle as it’s clear, any ideas? Op has said that the BB is stuck at the bottom of the hop up (Where the BB's load into), and can't be cleared by firing the pew. EDcase Posted December 3 Share Posted December 3 Just to reiterate, BBs dropping out when removing the mag is normal (and annoying). I turn the gun over when removing the mag so I can catch the loose BBs when I turn it back to normal If there is still a BB stuck somewhere after firing without the mag then there's a problem. I must say I’ve had many guns over the past 5 years and I’ve never seen this one nor seen anything on line about it. Skara Posted December 3 Share Posted December 3 BB retention is overrated, so much so that the actual good M4 hop units (Silent Industries, Begadi and such) don't use them. To the OP: No mention of the hop unit is being made, which obviously doesn't help. Could be the retention mechanism (paddle/latch or the tiny spring on the ME Sport units, o-ring like the old Madbull rotary unit), could be a slight deformation or indent on the feed tube that is not enough to prevent feeding but is enough to retain 2/3 bbs. Tyskie Posted December 4 Share Posted December 4 I had this with an ak, the hop feeding bit that goes in the mag shrunk in cold weather, and i had to lightly run a screwdriver around the lip to slightly enlarge the opening so the bbs could feed properly.
