What mix of base rifle and parts did you use for the SD conversion?

So main rifle is a classic army sar41 (mc51).

The front end was a classic army MP5 SD.

It takes a bit of work to get it all to fit.

Some stick with just the mp5 cocking lever. But wanted to keep it realistic and used the G3 one. So had to elongate the slot for the cocking lever.

Then you have to do a bit of cutting and filing on the inside to fit the mp5 front end.

The sd handguard has to be dremeled wider at the back too, to fit over the g3 body.

Despite wanting to sell on my LCT G3...I have ended up getting several HK rifles from them and today ended up with a second G3 but this time a G3A4 just trying to decide if I should mount anything on them as I am thinking add a bipod and scope to the G3A2 using a HK STANAG mount I have seen for sale online (£180 🫣) and maybe an ACOG or Aimpoint Comp M2 on the A4 as I think that HKs look so much better with old style accessories?

If you're keeping them old school then just a claw mount and period correct scope, if you fit a modern rail or hand guard the the world is your lobster(sic), an LLM1 is the desired accessory IMO without going all 2010 on it.

Yep I have seen them before, but I do love a battle rifle, especially my old comrade the SLR.

Weirdest thing is that I've never got round to getting the airsoft version, although I have got a FAL which kinda close🤔

I love that M14. I really want to pick up that one in the classifieds to go with the CAR-15 I just got but I should really finish some of the ones I have before I get more
