What I learnt over the course of this thread was that the KJ tolerances are off TM spec JUST enough to be problematic when trying to replace almost anything.

 

if I could have started again, I’d have sold my SSP as it was and bought a TM 5.1

 

I have also encountered a working SSP that was almost as good as any of my capas in terms of chucking a pellet in a straight line, maybe not as snappy but they’re not all dogshit it seems

Something awesome on the way back from the anodiser. A few months ago, I decided to do matching capas for my primary long guns, it’s finally all coming together

After what’s felt like months of waiting for parts to come back from people, I’ve finally put my Speedcat back together. Here it is next to it’s matched KC02

And because the KC is finished now, here’s the Battlecat/KC matched pair too

Finally, not quite as close as I’d like on the wood but my third pair

Crazy. I'm absolutely broken by it, it's perfect in so many ways. I don't think I can ever not upgrade the frame again.

May have another little bit coming for it as well and I think that will very much be the end of this build.

 

I do have the spares asembled though so another project to work on (yay). It won't be crazy in what goes on but how I run it should be.

I was super sceptical about the frames. Seemed like a huge outlay for almost no potential gain… Now all four are on adv frames.

 

I can’t remember if I showed you this? Trying to get a sculptor grip template sorted to get CF grip tapes done properly. This one was cut by hand and is far from perfect

@Alimcd mate that looks so clean. The sculptor is the DP polymer grip isn't it? Any reason why you didn't go Cow2?

Here I am getting the names wrong. It’s the CCT grip, got a couple off Kyle to put the CF wrap on.

 

He’ll convince me to change to Alu at some point on this and the matched blue/black Speedcat, just not yet

 

Dont suppose you’ve tried the new Airtac grip?
