The film prop was a 37mm flare launcher. Fun fact, it's the exact same prop gun that Arnie uses in Predator.

 

 

Also - the M16 front on the M4 receiver gives me Forrest Whittaker eye.

Yeah the same prop gun was used in a couple of other films. 

I just realised I have to tape two mags together.
