LewisUK
Currently I am running a pair of viper special ops (https://www.kitmastersupplies.com/products/viper-special-ops-glove-black) but I am having trouble feeling for certain things (such as the grenade primers, i use a TRMR). I have been looking at carpenter gloves as they have the index finger and thumb cut off, however I can't seem to find any ones that perfectly suit, I have relatively small hands and have to use medium size gloves. I was looking at these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mens-Gloves-Mechanicals-CARPENTER-Perfect/dp/B002XZTQZK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1499348591&sr=8-2&keywords=carpenter%2Bgloves&th=1 But they have some yellow threading that puts me off slightly, as I run a full black kit. Any other suggestions that don't involve me cutting the fingers off my special ops gloves, as they don't look like they will be able to hold that without fraying. Hangtight
Mechanix Vents are pretty tactile. The plain black ones are very 'operator', and I can tie my shoe laces wearing mine.
Supporters M_P Posted July 6, 2017 Supporters Share Posted July 6, 2017 As Hangtight said, Mechanix gloves are always a good choice, the Oakley SI assault gloves are another popular option too
Mostly Retired Moderators L3wisD Posted July 6, 2017 Mostly Retired Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2017 I hated using gloves at first. Then one day I bought some of the cheapest gloves in the shop on a whim, as a "just incase I ever want gloves on a skirmish day" They looked rubbish at first but they are great! I find them really comfortable, they have great tactile feel for changing mags and pushing buttons etc and are thin enough so your hands won't melt. And they're roughly a tenner everywhere! They are the Kombat UK Delta Fast Glove. http://www.kombatuk.com/search.php?qs=Delta+fast+glove
AshOnSnow
I've got Mechanix M-Pact gloves and I don't have any issue with controls or pins.
Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted July 7, 2017 Head Moderator Share Posted July 7, 2017 I also use Mechanix M-Pact gloves, the extra finger protection helps. If you want more dexterity you could try PIG gloves, which come in a range of colours - http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/pig-delta-utility-glove-22573-p.asp
Root Admin proffrink Posted July 7, 2017 Root Admin Share Posted July 7, 2017 I also like Mechanix Vents, but for CQB I'd probably go with the originals or M-Pact for the knuckle protection.
Hangtight
Getting shot in the knuckle really bloody hurts!
Supporters Lozart Posted July 10, 2017 Supporters Share Posted July 10, 2017 Most "tactical" gloves won't really protect you very well from much more than cuts and scrapes. A BB to the knuckle in anything less than hard knuckle gloves will still hurt like f*ck. If you want actual hand protection, take a look at *ahem* paintball *ahem* gloves. They usually have proper hard protection across the whole of the back of the glove including your fingers.
CARBr6
Hey, I know they aren't necessarily designed for it but I use these. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/260369?r=GS&gclid=Cj0KCQjwy4zLBRCOARIsADfss379DrGprrOHnH-9D99WkOPKn3KaxoWnoFubOjh22CtaiIRqoQqWIPIaAvm0EALw_wcB I bought them for use on my motorcycle, but they are pretty flexible and the knuckle protection is exceptional (as it's design to protect your hand from impact with the road at excessive speeds!
