Head Moderator Jedi_Master Posted February 4, 2016 Head Moderator Posted February 4, 2016 Sunset on the Golden Age - album by Alestorm. Favourite track is "Drink" which I first heard on Radio 6. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f55CqLc6IR0 Personally I don't like that as it's too.....become stronger/ballady...I don't really know how to put it. However if you like that I reckon you will love this, pirate metal. It's amazing. As you can see from my earlier post, I love Alestorm and the song 'Drink'. And funny enough that led me onto Turisas. I quite like the folk / ballad sound, also reminds me of Thin Lizzy. cropzy 1
Supporters Lozart Posted February 4, 2016 Supporters Posted February 4, 2016 Lol I listen to anything from 1940's wartime onwards. But this gives me shivers it's just too good.. https://youtu.be/rqYE9kYYtkQ?t=2m48s Not bad but it just sounds like 90's Morbid Angel with better production! Exhibit A
Supporters Lozart Posted February 4, 2016 Supporters Posted February 4, 2016 Which pointed me to this which is a true, stone cold classic.

cropzy Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I know. I'm great, me. Also - Cemetery Gates? Great song and all but come on - This Love, surely? True but I feel cemetery gates is more satisfying. This though.
Supporters Lozart Posted February 5, 2016 Supporters Posted February 5, 2016 True but I feel cemetery gates is more satisfying. This though. Sid Vicious/Sex Pistols was just a joke that everyone fell for. (I'm not a fan - can you tell?)
cropzy Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Sid Vicious/Sex Pistols was just a joke that everyone fell for. (I'm not a fan - can you tell?) Still iconic and amazing though. I saw these guys a few months ago, still good.
cropzy Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 If anybody has played this game, you know how awesome it is. Monty 1
cyrexx Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Cheesy, but I'm re-scoring it at the moment to a rock cover that's decent
