What do you mean?

milsim venue but with high caps? Just attend a normal skirmish at another site if that's the case?

ai500 cant be any worse to play at that the gzw I reckon, can only get better of people comment that the last wasnt that great. Probably worth a go.

I have heard horror stories about the last AI game, bad marshalling/players (really bad), dangerous areas not marked, players not having a clue what's going on, storyline and objectives excessively complicates, and I heard that 2 players got lost for 3-4 hours.

My mate was there last year and said it was immense and he's as casual as they come. Not a tech head, not a geardo, just rocks up to look cool and shoot people.

It's what you make of it. If I have an issue, I'll let people know. I have enough confidence about myself and what I'm talking about to make people see things my way and get my point across. Once I've done that I'll get over it.

I refuse to let someone else's attitude bog me down if I've paid that much.

+1 on what ed says tbh, if someone doesn't like me or something, I wouldn't let it bother me just ignore and enjoy it for what it is :)

Better yet get a few mates to go and have a laugh.

Just because its a milsim doesn't mean you can have fun

I totally get what your saying and it doesnt bother me that much its the fact when your playing and need help i.e cover and they just look at you and turn away.i might go either ai500 but been looking at tier 1 not sure yet

Tier1 will be a million times worse for geardos than Ai, they're the most hardcore milsim games out there.

Also, I can't honestly believe anyone would act like that. If they did it to me I'd probably just troll the shit out of them to ruin it for them as much as they were for me.

Team kill them by "accident", yell stuff to give away their position etc.

I think they'd get the picture one way or another.

Yeah it ruined the whole weekend, their was one point were some of my team were ambushed and captured then moaned at endex because 'they didnt spend £90 to get captured' well dont get captured then.i turned up in ddpm and my osprey to see a couple of guys sniggering and talking between each other how its so old and mtp is the new combat gear.

people like that are just dicks. i respect people for putting work into their loadouts etc. a good looking load out is just that. i buy what i like not what is in 'fashion' . dont let people falling for hype etc, or bandwagoners as i call them, ruin your sport/life etc...

Unfortunately airsoft has more sad bastards and weirdos than any other hobbie/interest I've ever had.

I would never go to a mil sim event. Not because I don't like the concept, because I know 75% of people there would be sad wannabe soldiers.

I can understand why so many people in the forces have an aversion to air softers.

I personally don't wear any issue gear and avoid any camo. I tend to mix coyote, black and OD.

I've got nothing against people dressing up, just people taking themselves far too seriously whilst playing with toy guns. Those guys put new players off, and make them think airsofters are weird.

I'd love a casual weekend event for normal people, with a non military scenario.

Come along to NAE13 then Kev. The scenarios are sort of military, but the whole thing is pretty casual. You can skirmish away to your heart's content without engaging in the scenarios at all if you don't want to. There will be several hundred people in the field at any one time who share that intention. Or you can do what I did last year and engage with the scenarios when I was relatively near to where something was going off or scheduled to and at other times just buggering around shooting anybody from the opposing factions.

I went on a great solo patrol through some forest which was an obvious place through which the enemy could attempt to flank our headquarters; just moving quietly and letting my DPM and some shrubbery on my helmet do the rest - popped off a fair few of 'em :) but regardless, it was just really good fun to explore while under threat - the kills were just icing on the cake!

re: AI500 TBH I've got a pretty thick skin and besides I've got enough problems with my health to deal with so if other players are so insecure that they have to form cliques and sneer at somebody to make themselves feel like, regardless of the demonstrable insignificance of everything they are, have been, and will ever become, they are at least better than me... well, fcuk 'em, innit!?!

I'd love to mate, but I'm starting a house build next month. Won't be able to make it. No holiday for me this summer either :(
