Having done a bunch of RS shooting and a lot of airsoft, there is definitely some stuff that translates over (breathing, manual of arms with GBBRs etc), but there's also a lot that very much doesn't translate over. And I always say this to people. There are a few instances where it helps to have a bolt action or DMR and I had one of those instances last game day where me and my friend were picking people off at 80m down a path with our DMRs by dropping shots onto them, while their 1.1J guns were falling well short of us. However, the vast, vast, vast majority of the time, an AEG will win the direct firefight with that bolt action or DMR because it's very easy to spray full auto at an angle and hit out to 70m+, while a bolt action or DMR is not a precision weapon in airsoft because smoothbore muskets firing spherical projectiles at less than 2.3J with a backspin to combat gravity is far from precision. Accuracy by volume is very, very applicable in airsoft. Especially with the magazine capacity of most AEGs and it's also why while I love filmsim, I dislike the rules when they say that everyone has to use RS capacity mags (and that's coming from me who basically only uses gas guns). Airsoft guns don't behave anything like real guns! A leaf won't really affect a .308 round from a real m24 that noticeably, but it will definitely affect the .48g BB coming out of my airsoft m24

Talk me into/out of buying a novritsch pistol

A chap at our local site had one of the new SSP28s, with the little nov folding stock attached the other week, and let me have a go. To be fair, very impressive. Doesn't really do anything that the AAP can't do of course - but then 90% of my collection of guns doesn't do anything meaningfully different from the first 10% that I acquired. But that's not really the point is it! I've only got a couple of Novritsch items - an SSX 303, and one of the goggle fan things. Both are good bits of kit, that have been well thought out. Not spectacular, but good. -

Think I'll look at getting the Merf 3.2 mosfet... 1. It's a plug & play 2. I'm not confident at opening any gearbox & expect it to work properly (know your limitations) 3. I've not soldiered anything in decades 4. I should be able to use the same mosfet in several rif's

Thinking about grabbing a Novritsch pistol (SSP5 or SSP28) to use as a sidearm in woodland, but also maybe as a main for CQB. I’ve already got an AAP-01 and thought about putting in some upgrades (tti scorpion kit) but by the time I finish it, it will be a money sink and no guarantee it would be better than something i can just pick up online. I like the idea of something snappy and reliable out of the box, but I’ve seen mixed stuff about Novritsch quality and proprietary parts. Anyone here using a Nov pistol as their CQB primary? Worth it? Or should I just keep building the AAP. (other suggestions are welcome, i do like a 2011 and im not ruling anything out. What are you guys running for a woodland backup or CQB main?

I can confidently say the MWS rivals any average AEG with ease, it has been my primary rifle for just shy of a year, that being said I have maintained it to a high standard to ensure its efficiency. As for internal upgrades, the hop rubber was just recently replaced with another standard tm hop rubber (MGG2-29), the Factory Strike hop arm being a necessary replacement to consistently sling heavier bbs. (I particularly run .32s always) and finally the RA Tech NPAS to adjust the gas output, as you will most likely run hot in the summer. I have always used Ultra Air gas as recommended to prolong the lifespan of the TM parts as to not put strain on the system, besides that there are no other internal modifications, the MWS can sling .32s with unreal precision. I stopped playing around 6 months ago, and its taken me until now to part ways with the beast, sad to see it go but I need the money. Given the price of a new TM MWS CQBR with 6 mags coming out to £790 excluding shipping and extensive modifications, I feel £950 is a reasonable selling point. I am open to minor price negotiations, anything ridiculous will simply be ignored. They don't stock parts, so its kinda moot. The only retailers who actively stock parts for anything GBBR consistently is Milspec & HPA UK, and from past experience of the latter i'm fairly sure for at least half of their 'stock' they're dropshipping.

So... My DE M904G. Shes awesome in every way. Only i'd like to make her longer. Size envy, if you will. Its a man thing. So, having scoured the ads on here a LOT, i have come to the conclusion i have no clue what im doing. Gearboxes? fine. barrels and hops? yup, all good. Handguards? ooooh dear. no clues. So the DE badger has a little nut that, when you turn it, expands, locking the handguard in place (mostly) then theres 4 little stealth screws that, once youve painted your rif, become nigh on impossible to notice, causing much irritation... My questions are these.... Can i fit a longer handguard from anything? assuming i need the "nut" as well? Longer outer barrels should fit the receiver and do up with the original nut? Obviously its going to need a longer INNER barrel, that bit i can do without confusing myself. Where is all the OEM stuff hiding after everyone has fitted a daniel defence doodah with bells and whistles? (who is daniel, and why does the man need so much stuff to defend himself????) I'm guessing its going to need the dremel and some thinking.......

First owner, owned just over a year, used a handful of times but I’m putting my energy into other Rifs right now so just freeing up some space. Very light Replica which feels ergonomic, this Rif is converted into more of a mid length with a slightly longer barrel than the shorter version of the AKX. The stock is standard AKX never got round to adding a buffer tube on. Tokyo Marui replicas just simply perform 👌🏽 installed a SAG MK3 rail system that was not cheap. And also a bow master heavy recoil spring 130% - comes with 3 mags. Evening all. So I have moved to Dorset and my son and I are looking for new sites to play at. Having come from Bucks where we could use our DSR which are 450FPS. It looks like many here are either 350 or 425. I am near Shaftesbury but happy to travel for 60-75 minutes to find a site that will welcome us with our stuff. Any advice, guess if we cannot find anything we need to dial down our FPS. Cheers.

Listing this "As New" because it's only been used for a bit of light garden plinking and as such really only shows the level of wear that you'd get from running a few mags through it. It's spent most of its time in the FDE Glock (reproduction) case included in this sale, in a cupboard. I'm only selling as I haven't skirmished in a long time now and have whittled my collection down to a couple of pistols for plinking. However I've had a few Umarex (VFC) Glock's now and I rate them highly. Their gas performance is far better than WE and the trigger is a good halfway point between the toyish light one found on TM's and the too stiff (and too difficult to load mags!) for skirmishing one found on GHK's. That's a pricey price, what differentiates it from the spina OEM OKP-7 that begun manufacture recently? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001295123552.html The reason I ask is Spina doesn't have an amazing reputation for electronics, I've had a couple go kaputt within a few months now with no impacts or anything It's a shame as they OEM some of the weird optics choices like a half decent susat and G36 scope, but again the electronic stuff tends to fall short on their internal connections and that's quite a price difference

Those numbers look pretty similar to me? If anything auto tends to be more often in the sub 310 range than semi. Spring twang can sometimes be resolved with precocking, getting the spring immediately under tension after the previous shot, although that comes with the unfortunate downside of also making the gun feel more responsive..... -

I don't think it will be lasers, too big, bulky and power hungry to be useful. Drones only need the shittest component on the board to fail for it to fall out the sky. A powerful enough signal could burnout a capacitor or resistor making the drone useless. The downside is anything else within range would suffer the same but I'd rather my radio popped than the AFV I'm in popping. It shouldn't take too long for a change in drone warfare due to the evolution in the drone world currently being 8 weeks. Every 8 weeks there is a branch on the evolution tree, good or bad and within 8 weeks another change.

It may turn out to be a great gun to win the last war, or three or five wars ago. But combatants in Ukraine today are crying out for shotguns, or anything shotgun-like, right down to hand-made ersatz shot rounds for 5.45mm rifled barrels. One USMC Colonel is pushing for urgent shotgun training against UAVs. We're currently procuring an L85 replacement, and the thinking seems to be like-for-like. I wonder if we should be having a radical re-evaluation of that, given the targets and threats that exist now, let alone in the next conflict.
