  1. Must admit I feel like it's a long shot that there's anyone else on here who's either a relevant medical professional or has dealt with the exact same thing, which is what would be needed to give anything like the right advice in the context (but hey always worth a shot). Salomon are up and down with regards quality to say the least, I've heard decent reviews of the Terrex but you can never know for sure until you buy a set of shoes and spend significant time in them. All I could suggest is don't limit yourself to the tactical realm of products as that's very limited comparatively and is not at all necessary for this game. Find a specific pair that'll best help your situation first, at which point you can use (for example) brown polish on any colour of leather, or a light dusting of spray paint on any synthetic material, if really necessary.
  2. It's well intentioned, and we're not judging or criticising your collection (plenty of us have bought lemons), just being honest. The KWA and Lancer are perfectly reasonable choices, and I'm genuinely interested in hearing how they're performing. The Ravens, well, they'll work fine until they don't - most pistols don't get a lot of use. It's also honest that there are very few airsoft techs who are worth paying, and there's no simple answer to your question as asked. We all know a guy who knows a guy, and retailers might have a tech who mostly just switches out shagged VFC gears but reckons he can have a go at anything else. But diligent professionals who will take a vague remit of "adjustments" and produce anything better than what you sent them are few and far between. Thus the question about what exactly you want done. If you're sending your guns in rather than visiting the nearest tech in person, the only ones that I personally would use, in this order, are: https://negativeairsoft.com/ https://www.kingdomofairsoft.com/ Both of them will charge in the region of £45 an hour for labour, plus a markup on parts, which is why you'll want to be clear about what they should be doing with that time. Anyone charging less isn't doing it for a living. I'll be fair and say that Eagle6 will probably not make anything worse, but I personally wouldn't use them for ethical reasons. If you're not bothered by that, they'll be happy to charge you £100 for tipping the internals out then putting them back.
  3. Pretty much, some type of sheet to catch little falling parts. Majority of sites I've been to have benches with the standard slotted top surface which are absolutely perfect for helping with losing small items/anything that rolls.
  4. Sweden. Organized events tends to be a bunch of dudes in multicam with Systemas claiming they can hear the bbs bouncing of their kits but in reality they never notice when hit - same as everywhere I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️ When I was active we used to just fill a couple of cars on the weekends and head for the forest or some abandoned site and do our thing. I don't like bureaucracy ^^ This answered the question I do appreciate this but I am very aware of it also- see my forum stats and this reply Either way it is more about adding VSR platform to my loadout than anything else ^^ and I do appreciate your help!
  5. I wouldn't say folk here are abrasive, to me it's more like people post what they think. Personally I prefer this to other places (particularly fb groups) where nobody is allowed to post anything slightly negative incase someone gets offended. Just because you can't report the e mail address to anyone doesn't mean you can't have some fun at their expense. Sign them up for as many dodgy mailing lists as you can, or maybe give it as contact details to the next spammer advertising drugs or voodoo spells.
  6. Normal/common airsoft zamak 'pot metal' is an alloy with aluminium in so of course the waters remain muddy as ever in this game, I've seen way too many product descriptions say aluminium alloy when the gun is clearly mostly zinc, but the scales don't lie so it'll be easy to tell. The Guarder extended Glock mags are quoted at 210g but they're £85 from Fire-Support, whereas these mags are up for pre-orders right now and LWA is doing a 3 pack for £115. If they're actually made from a decent aluminium and are in the region of the weight of the Guarders then £38.30 per mag is a crazy bargain. Makes the entire notion of running a GBB SMG primary look totally different to just about anything else out there that I know of, purely based on the weight/price of the mags. I could honestly see other guns springing up to specifically use these mags even though there's already quite a few out there that take TM/VFC Glock mags.
  7. I can't find an exploded diagram of the gearbox, so I haven't got a clue what the part number would be. I'm gonna try and use 4 different screws and 4 nuts instead, as I don't think the plate itself holds anything in place that the 4 nuts wouldn't also hold if tightened correctly.
  8. There's like a super specific allenkey size (I want to say 1,27mm, but I am probably off) used in MP5 or MP5k, you might want to see if there's anything like that for your MP7. I'd say electrical tape and cable ties but they've already been said
  9. We Makarov? No rail but some creativity could add one. Certainly it can be made accurate, at least as far as anything airsoft can be.
  10. When I took the gun into the shop I showed them the issue with the original motor, they listened to me explain the problem, so they suggest a high torque motor which I was fine with, but then we start chatting airsoft components and I mention wanting to put a decent mosfet in the gun because I wanted to run a higher voltage but also protect the motor and other components, they mentioned they had one ready for installation and I was really up for it, like comic character having stars for pupils level excited (cringe I know). Two weeks later they tell me that the aster wasn't compatible with the original gearbox, I did think about it but went ahead anyway, the only real point of pressure was when I got the gun back they kept trying to sell me a metal hop unit that I didn't really want. As said in part 1, I completely understand that I should've listened to my gut instinct and left the original gearbox but I was too excited. That is what happened with the process, basically the nature of this post was more of a... vent, I suppose? With a warning if anyone else came forward, but I was fuming when I typed the OP because of the extra money I have to spend getting the gun rebuilt. My tech is currently sending puctures, I assume he's going to send it with the invoice in my Email. Once again, I am sorry if my story seems misleading or untrue, tbh with the amount of false claims made about anything else I too would take this with a pinch (or spoon) of salt and treat this skeptically. As I type I am remembering small details (some larger than others admittedly) so it presents a whole new problem, it's trait I've had all my life especially because of my learning disabilities. So this is actually the one plausible pic I took before sending to the tech, it was taken after we got the gearbox out, the second pic on part one was most definitely me trying to get the body pin back in as I had issues with the phillips screws in the pistol grip.
  11. Ignoring the time gap, what exact is your complaint? Tech work quality? Tech work advice? It seems there are four elements to your complaint: Tech workmanship related: "Non-airsoft" Gate Aster was installed Wiring with "metric ton" of superglue Nuprol motor "too strong" Advice related Being mislead into agreeing the work Can you provide pictures of the Gate Aster or anything that says it is "non-airsoft"? Can you provide pictures of the amount of superglue in your gearbox or where you think is the problem? Can you provide model name of this Nuprol motor and also your spring, gear ratio, and battery used? Can you describe what was the process of you agreeing to the work?
  12. As above. For me it's a small set of allen keys, a couple of screw drivers and a roll of electrical tape. Anything which requires more than that can be done at home
  13. i'm gonna offer the alternative solution: don't bring anything or in longer form, trying to work on a pew in the safe zone is at best going to be an exercise in frustration and at worst the easiest way to lose bits. do the work at home, get your gun in good order, and bring a spare (or two) if you can't accomplish it with a leatherman within a minute, it's probably a job worth waiting until you get home.
  14. I was planning on writing this after using it in a game but I got man-flu so obviously I was dying and couldn't make the game day but I'll do a mini-review anyway since I've been messing around with it and put about 20 mags worth through it. A bit about the Real Steel version: “APC” is an acronym for “Advanced Police Carbine.” The “K” stands for “Kurz,” or “short,” and “B&T” is the shortened name for Brügger & Thomet of Switzerland. The APC9 was introduced to Europe in 2011 in 9mm, and was quickly engineered for .40 S&W and .45 ACP offerings. The standard model's barrel length measured 7 inches and featured a right-side folding polymer stock. A carbine variant with a 16-inch barrel was also developed for the commercial market, as well as integrally suppressed models. I've seen this advertised as the SCW-9 and the APC9 however if you follow the B&T naming convention this this is actually the B&T SMG ACP9 K PRO G. Which translates as a Sub Machine gun made by Brugger and Thormet called a Advanced Police Carbine in 9 x 19 mm calibre with a Kurz barrel with a Glock Magazine lower receiver and the PRO part is anyone's guess. So there is now an airsoft GBB version of the B&T SMG ACP9 K PRO G made by Maruyama. Well I have no idea who Maruyama are and the box claims it was designed in Japan and built in Taiwan. Is this actually a VFC built GBB? It takes VFC style Glock Magazines but apart from that fact I don't see anything that screams out VFC. I think it might be a new company called Maruyama but I could be wrong and time will probably tell. Ok, so on with the review. What do you get in the well packaged brown box? The GBB SMG, a 50 round magazine and a fake silencer/suppressor, oh and a little allen key to adjust the hop. You might have noticed there are no markings on the SMG. I guess this is to get around any trademark issues outside of Japan. The silencer is actually a inner barrel extension and has an effect on the FPS when attached. With the magazine filled with 144a gas and the magazine temperature at 21C, the FPS is 290 which is pretty consistant. By adding the silencer this jumps to 355 so you get a 70 FPS boost by fitting the silencer on average. As you can see below the silencer can be stripped down and the inner barrel removed if you want to keep the FPS down or add a tracer to the inside of the silencer. One thing to note is the silencer is very tight to get on and off. I think this is down to the paint and should become easier are the paint wears down over use. I have a few different VFC glock magazines and they all fit and work fine. I actually prefer the Maruyama magazine over the VFC mags and in fact I just ordered some more as they are cheaper than the VFC 50 rounders and seem to work very well. The Maruyama mag works well in my VFC pistols just in case anyone was wondering. TM/WE/Raven mags don't fit this GBB. VFC G19X mag in the GBB VFC Glock 19 Gen 3 in the GBB Adjusting the hop is easy and involves putting the supplied allen key in the hole in the front of the receiver and turning left or right to get the desired hop effect. The good news is that you don't need to disassemble the GBB to adjust and it can be done on the fly with a magazine loaded. The other plus side is the hop unit has no issues hopping 0.3g BB's and I've tried a bunch of different BB makes and had 0 jams, 0 splitting and 0 malfunctions. In fact I've had zero malfunctions with about 20 odd mags through it. It's a very reliable little GBB. Inside the wear seems to be minimal after 20 odd magazines. I don't see anything to cause concern right now. wear near the barrel is minimal. The grey is a mixture of paint wear and grease. the bolt front shows the same paint wear and grease The rear of the bolt shows wear from hitting the buffer. there is hardly a mark on the trigger group. My conclusion: Weirdly it didn't come with any iron sights as standard. You can't find B&T iron sights that easily so the closest will be the IWI polymer flip up sights if you want to run irons. I don't know why this bothers me so much function and fitment are spot on. Zero complaints from me and it has a nice recoil to boot. Accuracy is about the same as a GBB pistol but slightly better as it has a stock attached. Range is decent but BB weight and gas used with vary the results. Negatives: Probably spare internal parts long-term will be a problem and I wish the selector lever was metal instead of polymer but that's just nit-picking. On the Mightjebus review scale it's a solid 4 out of 5. p.s. The Omega 9 tri-lug tracer silencer fits and works very well on this GBB.

Skirmished a handful of times, so some minor marks present but still in good condition overall. This pistol is totally stock and will come in it's original box with 1 x leak free/working mag and extra broken mag for spares/repair. Only selling as I rarely play these these days. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please PM any questions as I don't get notifications for anything asked on the listing.

  16. I think the amount is more the issue, I'll get Matt to send me photos to show, because he didn't want to risk removing anything and wrecking it entirely This was last year in the summer, if I recall correctly Fair enough, I don't mind you doing that, fact is I am kind of screwed either way because I'm not getting money back, and I know that nobody else is going to come forward, I was really angry when I typed this out.

Modelled on an Agency Arms Glock 17, this comes with the kind of features usually found on far more expensive builds. These include slide cutout to lighten, aggressive front serrations, factory stipple-effect (Lone Wolf) frame, extended slide release, flared magwell and adjustable flat trigger. This particular one was skirmished just once, so is in great overall condition. Only selling as I'm currently whittling my collection down to pieces I know I'll skirmish on the occasional times I go these days. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please PM any questions as I don't get notifications for anything asked on the listing.

Unlike most of these you'd buy from a UK retailer, this one has Detonics markings. It's in very good overall condition. It feels solid and heavy in the hand. Comes with a one leak free mag, one leaking mag, full Guarder aluminium hop unit kit and Maple Leaf bucking. I have reduced the price because it's started not locking back and firing strangely on either magazine. I'm not going to say "easy fix" as I don't know, but I have priced accordingly. Stated price includes PayPal feels and tracked postage. Please ask any questions via PM as I don't get notifications for anything added to the listing.

  19. I'm very grateful! I didn't know anything about crimping, beyond what these guys taught me...
  20. It may be nature (Darwin). It may be nurture (Locke). It could also be Nietzsche though. Maybe he has the will to power to be an arsehole. Given his bigoted nonsense, anything's possible. He doesn't deserve the oxygen of publicity, nor the oxygen of oxygen to be frank.
  21. I should have added a : hugely rolling eyes in sarcasm: emoji after my comment about my skills 😋. So thanks for the hints. I will take care with the crimp but my soldering 'skills' would likely be worse than anything I do with some pliers! (I am trying quite hard to avoid spending £15 on a crimp tool that I won't get much use out of)
  22. Amazon has seemingly locked me out my account and they've still not posted anything yet. ffs

  23. Anything electrical I swear by 12voltplanet. No association just happy customer. https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/
  24. Like the other folks have said you're better off with a 'dry' gas, the silicone is being sprayed through your hop rubber and barrel which messes with your accuracy and means you have to clean a lot more often. As for seals, I think you're better off doing them manually with a decent grease (something like superlube 21030, I've started using that based on recommendations from the heavy recoil club discord and it works brilliantly for everything GBB). I've been running ultrair pretty much all year round and now with the orange/red stuff they've put out I'm sorted if I need anything when it gets a bit colder. Super5ives also do the ultrair orange/red and works out a few quid cheaper. Free postage over £50 so pretty decent if you stock up on a few at once! The regular/brown cans you can pick up at one of the generic bbguns websites in bulk and works out about 5/6 quid a can or thereabouts.
  25. Why do you keep boosting something that is never going to sell? The best thing that you could do with this utterly broken toy would be to strip it down, salvage anything that is worth keeping and then cut the body up and put it in the bin.
