  1. So do IMI, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IMI-Defense-Tactical-Light-Laser-Holster-Glock-17-22-23-Surefire-X300-STL-900L-/321556126463?pt=US_Holsters&hash=item4ade3d1aff A bit more pricey but very good! and you can chose the way you mount it, paddle, duty, low ride, molle or leg platform. i have them for my Glock 17 and my Sig 226, both with lights.
  2. Welcome aboard, I've recently started with my son too and our collection is also growing!! (and expensive!! lol)
  3. Welcome aboard my friend, I'm 45 going on 21! This site has lots of great advice and everyone's really helpful and friendly, enjoy!!
  4. Any WE GBBR, my 416 ran hot out of the box and I had to fit an NPAS, its pretty easy, just followed a guide on YouTube. So I can tweak it up if need be to DMR spec. There's an Umarex/VFC 416 owners group on face book and I asked them if the VFC was better than the WE, they said its more expensive and full of problems, go figure?!#%?
  5. Welcome aboard mate, really good bunch on here
  6. I think Ian's hit the nail on the head, we don't want any for of legislation for airsofting that is going to lump it in with gun control. Currently, as long as we all do what we love, airsofting at recognised sites, and not running around in public places with RIFs, then I'm pretty sure ACPO and the CPS will let sleeping dogs lay. But it took Dunblane to ban hand guns. I'm not saying that someone will go on a killing spree with an airsoft gun, but if there is a specific high profile incident or series on indcidents, involving airsoft guns, then I'm sure the do-gooders would feel compelled to act. Our current system may not be perfect, it may be full of holes, it may be easy to circumvent, but it works for us, so let enjoy airsofting! If you're really in to it, then three games over two months is bugger all and you can soon be registered on the UKARA database, if that's what they want, that's what they'll get! Smile and wave boys, smile and wave!
  7. A HFC Glock 17 was my first airsoft gun, cheap and pretty reliable, very effective in indoor CQB skirmish! Even though I've upgraded to a TM version, it still gets plenty of use with either me or my son. Don't knock, they're good, cheap, simple and GAS guns!! It's the future!
  8. Nice vid mate! Your friend has some skills with the cameras and editing suite! I'm sure there's plenty of teams who'd like something like this!
  9. Here's a pretty good review and comparison of the Canis Latrans vs the real steal version: Sums up what we've been saying on here
  10. JC, you're spot on mate, after a bit of research i've found it's basically a small digital camera, so in light conditions, you get a colour image and in dark it's black and white, its approx x2 mag and you observe it on a small tv screen. With the expesnse and difficulty in obtaining the real deal stuff, (i did find some genuine PNSVG 18s for sale in the US for $38,000!!! ) it may be an option, albeit a potentially fragile and not a 100% effective option. Hmmmmm I guess I'll have to see how bad the holes burns in my poscket?!!
  11. I've been looking around trying to find some affordable and useable night vision kit. I'd prefer a monocle, that way if something goes belly up, then there's always the Mk1 eye ball to rely on! I've found this: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/on-promotion-PVS-14-style-digital-night-vision-mount-on-the-helmet-for-rifle-scope-for/1519917126.html You can basically get a Gen 2 type monocle, and the helmet bracket and if you need it the strap to fit on a standard helmet for under £150! I know it's not going to be perfect, I'm hoping to find something to give the edge in low light, dark interior conditions. Of course If you could get something that worked well in a fully dark environment, along side an IR torch and laser! Then you really could own the night! If any one has used the item I've found or got any info on any NVG kit, please let me know, cheers guys
  12. 6-1, There's a Special Forces/Milsim thread under the General Discussions page; http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/23286-the-special-forcesmilsim-thread/page-4?hl=+sf%20+milsim
  13. Nice, my personal preference would be the Safariland, Gonna look verrry cool!
  14. Looking Good Mack, Muy impresante amigo! what kind of holster for your Glock? and What kind of eye pro?
  15. Hmmm Wilco is an oldie, certainly not used in my time in the Army, but for airsoft? No biggie. Others coming in to common usage "Afirm" - short for affirmative and "Break" to indicate you are pausing your message, and intend to continue. It would normally have been "Roger so far?"
  16. Got myself some Salomon Quest 4D GTXs coming, but from my mate's mate who works for Salomon! Yoikes!!
  17. Looking good mate, but "Veggie" Lasagne??!! Come on!! MEAT!!! Its the future!!
  18. An ultimate grenade would be so nice! but as in the real world, there's different strokes for different folks! I really like the idea of lobbing smoke from a 203! (In fact I can feel a hole burning in my pocket as I type!). In room clearing scenarios I favour the instant detonation type and I'm looking to purchase a TRMR. As for the remote det type, I'm sure I saw somewhere that did airsoft claymores with this feature, In fact I'm pretty sure I saw a vid with one being used to good effect to defend a stairwell? Projectiles, even with the ballistic properties of a tennis ball, will always be a problem as it has the potential to hurt, but then again, so do BBs? Maybe this is the next big step for airsoft?
  19. I once got knife killed by a kid with a rubber chicken! Sounds odd now I've written it down?!
