  1. Hello all, So yesterdays first skirmish with my newly acquired M249 was a blast! Great fun and got plenty of hits. Very satisfied with how it performed. However, upon returning home I noticed that one of the feeding tray buttons to open/ lock it is missing (see attached photos). Must of fallen out during a game? I don't particularly want to spend £30 on a new tray so can anyone give a suggestion on where to either buy one of the buttons (right side) or fix it opening occasionally? Thanks in advance!
  2. What I'll be taking to my game tomorrow.
  3. Well worth it buddy. Not very ergonomically designed for.. well anything but god damn, it's so nicely built compared to rifles costing about the same.
  4. Goes very very nicely with my MICH 2000 helmet as I have real bullets in that haha! Having second thoughts about if I should still sell it..
  5. Thank you kindly. Very excited to take it to it's first game and try the whole support role! Isn't too bad to carry, over a long period of time it may start to weaken the arms but we shall see if that's the case. I've been trying to find a cheap MAG box magazine as they're supposed to be really good?
  6. Optic is an Aimpoint Comp M2. I've had it for months but it works really nicely with the M249! 2,400 rounds... all my bb's haha.
  7. Hello all, As some may be aware, I kidnapped santa claws and got a little christmas gift early. Sorry kids! Thoughts on the gun etc? Not looking for "it's too heavy to lift" because it's really not. Just constructive feedback please. This thread is mainly for 'THE FNG' as he wanted to see this in the guns thread. Enjoy!
  8. My son used to borrow mine all the time. It's completely okay to.
  9. How much would a KSC USP.45 with two magazines sell for? Suggestions?

£110, plastic slide version is less desirable.

Think it's actually a RA-Tech slide. Also has a ACTION USP.45 steel spring guide and recoil & hammer spring.

I take that back, just put a magnet that only conducts to steel on it and nothing. Most likely aluminium alloy.

  10. THE LMG IS UNDER MY POSSESSION..! I believe I'm a little too excited though, like a big 38 year old on Christmas. The misses won't be amused...

People always complain that M249's are too heavy yet I've just held it for 35 minutes straight test firing it and it's no heavier than an L85 is?

People are more used to light airsoft guns....20 minutes running about with the real deal and they'd be panting :D

Try carrying an L85A1 with 9 magazines loaded with 5.56x45 rounds, a backpack with cleaning gear, medical gear, survival gear, in 40+°c.. For 20 hours. ;)

  11. Let me make an educated example.. I have a Tokyo Marui, completely plastic P226, whereas my friend in my squad has a KWA full metal P229. Both have a 26 round magazine and both fire around the 280 - 300 mark. Yesterday I was at Battlegrounds, Aberdeen. It was fairly cold when we first started at 9 in the morning, maybe 11°c. His full metal KWA P229's magazine gassed out after 13 rounds where as the my all plastic TM P226 went though the whole 26 rounds and still locked the slide back. Second magazine in, his KWA P229 started releasing gas like crazy after a few shots, my TM P226 was still normal. At the end of my little observations, I also realised my gun drastically outranged his. Both using 0.23g bb's. Okay, I admit, metal sounds meaner with more clicks and clangs but my Tokyo Marui is a quick, clean, crisp sound. I wouldn't compromise the sound of a gun for performance.
  12. Apsolute garbage that Tokyo Marui's break easily. People think that because they're plastic instead of metal that the gun's just going to explode after you've pulled the trigger. Lies. I own one myself and have done for the past year and a half, and I have no issues with it nor have I ever had. Pistol only loadouts may seem cool and maybe quite useful if you're in a fast pace game (capturing objectives, CQC and/ or being a medic etc), but you'll find that with the amount of ammo, magazines and gas you'd need, you'll be spending a fortune! Not to mention you will get ripped to shreads against fully automatic 20+ rounds per second AEGs.
  13. In dire need of an LMG for an upcoming game. Anyone got one they'd swap for one or more guns?

  14. You get stuff like R-hops and people that put in Velcro patches which supposedly increase accuracy and range dramatically. You could also try throwing in a 6.03 or 6.02 tightbore barrel and see if that helps? Just watch your FPS doesn't go over your local sites limit.
  15. That may be your issue. I haven't played at CQC in a while but when I did I had the same issue until I decided enough was enough and would unload half a magazine at someone so there is no childish "oh but I shot you too, cheater". Yes, it sounds dickish but honestly they shouldn't be a dick in the first place, shooting you after they're hit. Some people cannot admit defeat you see.
  16. The Last of Us + Left Behind has the most beautiful story and such a fantastic experience with Ellie and Joel and how they bond etc. Brilliant how Joel accepts Ellie as a daughter near the end it's just beautiful.
  17. Quite sad how some people do this to be honest.
  18. ARES Honey Badger.. worth getting?

Ares internals are known to be bad, but I've heard they're a bit better in this gun. Their plastic is sh*t though from what I have heard. Very cheap feel unlike good quality nylon fibre reinforced polymer stuff.

They seem quite pricey, just shy of £300. Not the kind of money I'd spend on some one night stand rifle. Thanks guys.

Most reports so far seem to be "my mate bought one and it's sh*t".

  19. Rather pleased with the fields photographer for my pretty awesomely timed now profile picture!

  20. I'm not familiar with any no mate. The difficulty to custom make plastic components for a gun is pretty high so it seems highly unlikely to be able to fulfill your idea of an SAR-21 I'm afraid. Give it a few years and I'm sure A.P.S, AGM or Tokyo Marui will probably manufacture one?
  21. Being two entirely different weapon systems you'll find it is near impossible to get an AUG to look similar to an SAR-21. I've browsed online before for AUG parts and there are no aftermarket parts to get it even close to what you want. It's hard enough trying to find an AUGA3 rail system. I suppose you could always attempt custom work. However, I cannot guarantee that it would look anything even close to your liking and would personally avoid in case of damaging your gun.
  22. Check the firing pin then, (the piece that strikes the valve on the magazine) to make sure it isn't being pushed too far forward or getting stuck/ lodged into the magazine valve.
  23. More than likely the O-rings in the magazine(s) have swollen up or worn out. Try replacing them first, and go from there.
  24. "The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees if you let it, nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you're hit, it is about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I think it's combined with a Halo 5: Guardians commercial, aswell. Unfortunately makes the quote even more butchered.

Hmmmm - is it not also the ability to OUT the opponent:

outmanoeuvre, outhink, outwit, outgun, flush 'em out etc......

yes chucking loads of advancing troops works at a cost, but often the wiser tactical side can win - well that is the theory part, putting it into practice is not so straight forward we know
