  1. Yep, moved stateside over the summer. OK, good so far. My other option is to use the G&P M4 I have in the UK with a TROY TRX rail on it and start from scratch; as this will likely be cheaper I thought, why not. true, but ill be upgrading it as well.
  2. of course, i would be upgrading it as well...
  3. Hey guys, ive been after a DMR for awhile, and someone just offered me this: Custom Stoner Rifle with G&G SR-25 front assembly and suppressor. Had this built and never got a chance to use it, just trying to move it out now...over $700 invested as it stands. Here's what she's got: -Hurricane SR-16 Stoner Rifle metal body -G&G SR-25 front assembly w/ suppressor -M140 gearbox w/ MOSFET wired to DEANS -Madbull V.II 509mm 6.03mm tightbore -Madbull hard bucking -Madbull ultimate hop-up unit -180rd short hi-cap w/ Magpul -CA full stock -Leapers 4x32 scope w/ sunshield -SPR full-length riser rail -Magnum motor for 200 USD. How's it sound? Ive always loved SR25s and I prefer the support DMR/sniper role, so i am interested.
  4. Short term... No. Nada. Nope. Run for the hills. Before you dismiss me, let me explain. Out of the box, most Airsoft guns shoot about the same. My G&G combat raider shoots about as well as my VFC XCR, despite the latter being a much better gun overall. Snipers (and let's be politically correct - any rifle used by the 'sniper' role is technically a sniper rifle... - let's call them what they are, bolt actions) are no better out of the box than any AEG. Bolt action rifles are often one of the most expensive projects you can attempt (let's leave HPA out of this for now...), and they need a lot of money and parts thrown at them to get them to that precise status we have come to enjoy with bolts. Heck. My only bolt I've had I probably spent 8-10 times as long zeroing it and testing it in different conditions than I've played overall - and I did very little to it. If you actually want to not have a disadvantage in the field, then don't go for a bolt. If you want a project that you will empty your wallet, max your cards out, and force you to both sell your kidney and your 2nd child, and have a ton of free time on your hands, then go for it. I am going to be starting my first actual build here soon, and I'm already rationing food for the long journey ahead. That said, if you are going to be running around in the garden shooting your mates, then sure, go for it.
  5. Any bolt action gurus out there?

  6. I mean taking pellets to it... I have a mesh cover on it currently, and a 6mm piece of plexiglass on it
  7. My biggest worry, since I have a real Eotech 552 on my primary...
  8. Yea, she was. Fortunately... She's no show dog, so she was fine after only of minute of cuddling and a milkbone . Here she is now - no permanent damage done.
  9. Yea, I know... May have helped that my glock shoots sub-200 with the arrangement I ad at the time, and that she knows my mother as well. Also, I think she kinda freaked out when she saw her son had an Airsoft gun; most people have no idea about the laws surrounding them, so she may have been worried it was illegal for him to have (which I suppose it was, since he obviously bought it and was a minor. I feel the fact I shot was down to some conditioning on my part; I'd been training on head plates for the last 2 hours, I was supper pissed cause my dog is basically my life (not doing great considering I had to leave her with family when I went of to uni), and I was in the mindset for the training (was super stressed about it, cause I wanted to impress my grandfather, my idol...). I know it wasn't the right thing to do, but I can't take it back, and he suffered no injury, and the matter was dropped. So I'll continue to count my blessings, and continue enjoying this fine sport of ours.
  10. I've only ever aimed for the head once where I could've hit elsewhere. If I have a choice, arm or midchest. I play a lot of CQB, so I use full face - and I've needed it - my dye is all scratched from pellets I've taken. Now, for that one time. I will say I am not really proud of it, but I would most likely do it again. It happened in May of last year. I was training for my shooting class in June in my back yard with my WE g17. As I was taking a break and resetting my targets, I heard a much louder shot followed by my dog (who is my baby) yelping. I quickly round the corner of my house to see a kid with a clear Airsoft gun aiming at my dog, who was cowering on my doorstep. The kid's two mates were also with him. Well, I know what has happened, and I am seconds away from going completely crazy at this point, and I'm too far away to stop them from taking another shot. So, I do what I can; raise my glock, and put two into the side of the kid's head. He yells, drops the gun, and runs off with his mates. Turns out he was using a Cybergun Jericho, which is CO2 and shoots about 400ish with .12g, which he was using... I ended up keeping that gun for awhile, and selling it to a friend to use. Now, this kids mom then comes back about 1/2 hour later and stars going crazy at me. That is, until I tell her what happened, and show her where my dog is bleeding on her flank. Turns out she didn't even know her kid had an Airsoft gun. Needless to say, I think she took care of the issue - and she told me to keep the gun as well...
  11. Mother of frikken AKs... Kalashnikov is turning right now...
  12. I take offense at this entirely true fact...
  13. Hey guys, got a few new videos up, including one of my new Quadrotor. Furthermore, my PC build video is coming up soon, and I'll get back into Airsoft as well, so stay tuned!
  14. Frankly, it's too small. The gun is a standard WE Gen 4 G17 with a custom installed fibre optic red foresight, the orange fibre optic rear sight off my WEI Tech slide, a Silverback laser grip, a RHC Magwell and RRL, and a large amount of tape on the grip. Oh, and an 11mm to 14mm thread adapter on the front. My MP7 was shooting hot that day, and my backups were all in the shop, so I was pistols only that day. Absolutely brilliant, and the gun preformed flawlessly, even though it was a bit cold.
  15. You mean the smiley on the side, or the front of the helmet?
  16. Thanks to the guys at Airsoft-addict.com, I finally have a decent pic of my UK CQB load out. 😄
  17. Continuing my Franken4 build; gonna bring it over to the U.S. and convert it to a DMR. Upgrade my VFC XCR and take an airsoft shop class offered by my friends at Airsoft Barracks
  18. He did. When I yelled over to see if he was ok, he gave me a thumbs up, so I didn't worry about him after that.
  19. Well, here you go. Laugh at another's (or your brother's) misfortune! https://youtu.be/zYGzyait104
