  1. those would not go nicely with two tone, and anyway everything that has changed in colour bar the mag will be painted green, useless
  2. I love GBBR's, but the mags kill it for me. If you have ever shot an L85, or even just a powerful air rifle you will understand that kick is just awesome, and puts a smile on your face. I like AEGS because they are reliable, however I am seriously thinking about a GBBR
  3. oh sorry didn't realise you were talking to OP. same here nearly 15, and yes I am paying with 100% my money
  4. yep I think I am going with that, what colour you got yours in? also, is the recoil any good actually?
  5. very recently, from a cousin for free. i believe it was £250-£300 (not sure exactly) new. and has had about 100 shots fired through it. The TM scar? Yeah well, in that price range, love scars, would like some recoil (is it any good, obviously not like a gbb but is it noticeable) was trying to get a polarstar but have given up on that one, too many charges importing
  6. cooked rabbit = yummy glad your enjoying the sport welcome to the forums
  7. well you can actually, I have 3, and 3 too many! Soon I will be buying a TM scar H ( i think haven't made final decision yet) I think the only acceptable m4 is the 416/417
  8. so maybe buy a cheap eotech, honestly everyone says the clones are exactly the same as the branded ones, you can pick them up for £30. how much mney you willing to spend. Ideally you want a LiPo (mine cost £20 and is a beast) and you will need a cranestock, I will get the link for mine. Also you need a smart charger, I use the accucel digital 6 that can charge everything from lead acid to LiFe and everything in between. It has an LCD display and is brilliant. that will set you back £70 including the battery (although you can get cheaper) which is what I run, seriously good setup IMO.. You want some mags, probably mid caps you will find (not so annoying as winding up Hi caps) and as monty said either a molle plate carrier or something along the lines. If I were you I would get the gun, good gear and everything else meaning that if you want to buy another gun, you have everything you need for that as well, instead of spending a huge amount on one gun. That mask is fine although it may steam up quite a bit.
  9. mate i just spent £6 fecking quid and now you tell me?!?!?
  10. i have the hfc g17 ( i think its called, not sure if it has some stupid name though) which I bought off a friend who used it once and then never again. It is quite good, the blowback is quite nice, however the mags have started to leak gas a bit. Also to note, parts are not as well made so can break, and the overall finish is alright. accuracy is well, ok, however in close combat it is good.
  11. nah, get a G&G raider S (for short). quite short, very well made, nice rails, good looking gun and it won't break for a loooong time. That would be my choice, because mags are cheaper and hold more
  12. what everyone said above. I spent 200 for my first setup, and that was minimum for a lipo, but with dpms and some other kit minus the lipo and ptting in a NimH maybe £150. No point buying cheap, buy nice or buy twice (or 4 times, depends if you get it from the bb gun websites. G&G carbine clear starter pack - £120 £10 for bbs. £5 for DPM top and trousers. £30 for a pair of second hand good condition boots. £15 for another magazine £180... Or you could look into second hand raiders, maybe jing gong or cyma, but G&G cm16 are the best for budget/ noobs
  13. IK its not the same but http://www.redbubble.com/people/koukiburra/works/8590005-hk-fire-selector-icon-sticker-pack?p=sticker if you use the lines it should be ok, not sure if they are any good though
  14. hmm, if you do paint may have to paint straight over and see if you can find some heat stickers or something for it
  15. well someone local to me told me, and it floats around along the forums. nearly everyone says it
  16. people won't respond lightly. I'm warning you now people on this forum will tell you if you have no UKARA don't paint. I'm painting some items for my guns, HOWEVER I have said items in bright colours for one I come back from a skirmish, So I am actually allowed to do it. Painting a receiver though... IF your really want to paint put masking tape over it.
  17. Personally, I would say get the G&G, even if the mosfet burns out just claim under warranty. It will also perform better stock
  18. I think they have it under control now, even if it does burn out you will have it under warranty. Just a point though, it is £50+ quid more expensive, if you are good with a soldering iron you could do all the upgrades for much cheaper
  19. try army surplus and toys or your local surplus store
  20. I know next to nothing about slings but try pro airsoft supplies, land warrior airsoft, zero one airsoft, patrol base, or fire support.
  21. they do yes, they are wired the other way around. All you have to do is push the plugs out, a 5min job
  22. sounds good for garden battles, how long do the cartridges last e.g how many mag fills? thanks for all the info btw
