  1. They did Good video reference though, it does prove that aegs are fine in even the heaviest rain. Obviously anything used will need to be properly dried afterwards.
  2. It really is up to you tbh. Have you found yourself in lots of situations where a pistol would have been useful? For me personally, i use my pistol fairly often in woodland and in the cqb area and would have one over a backup. Depending on where you play, at worst case scenario, you could use the pistol as a back up However, many people never use a pistol and it is lucky to get used once in two or three skirmishes or they always manage to break their main gun and a backup would be better for them
  3. 1. Dont worry its absolutely fine, watch this video: 2. It will shoot well out of the box so play with it a bit first then decide if you want to upgrade speed, precision or range. Basically just what SD said. If youre keen to open it up though, then aoe and shimming and some airseal mods should be done
  4. Yeah i believe that's true, i heard it somewhere too
  5. Not heard about them, where have you been? They are meant to be the best stock aeg you can get atm. They have an internal mosfet in the gearbox, shimmed, aoe corrected, special holes in the gearbox I think, good hop up system and quick change spring. I have t heard a bad review of them and they are meant to be incredibly good Here's a review: And another from shizbazki
  6. Airsoftforum.com the big retailers also have forums too I think asgi and air splat do
  7. Well for that money you're looking at combat machines. They are a really good starter gun, look at zero one for the cm16 raider they two tone for free as well. With your money you're also going to need a battery and charger and eyepro. If you don't like m4s then you can look at cyma AKs and JG g36s. All reasonably cheap starter guns that are often recommended.
  8. I know there are some RC guys on here so im asking if anyone knows anything about this RC car i have. I havent used it for ages and wondered if anyone knows anything about it and what its worth now. It has the controller and two 1800 7.2v Ni-MH batteries. I have pictures here: http://imgur.com/a/mpgRM
  9. Bull pups seem to be reasonably expensive and at£200 you probably won't be able to get many mags with one. Have a look at jg. I believe they make a p90 and aug and are reasonably priced
  10. I think that is a WE, aeg though. I don't know about fitting he might but the aeg and gbb are probably of different dimensions
  11. Look on shooter cb they sell those helmets for pretty good money and I remember mack saying shipping times were good too. I'll try and find the link Edit: here it is http://www.shootercbgear.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_41&products_id=7704
  12. It does depend on what look you're aiming to achieve. Obviously you're looking to cover up the blue so as said by everyone, take time with prep work and read the can and maybe even disassemble as it may be easier than masking the rest of it. I would also try and remove as much blue as possible before painting over. However if you are going for a used look, the. Just spray on as jcheeseright said as it will wear down in places.
  13. Tm hi capa as said. Just have a look at elite shooting centre for an idea of what you can get.
  14. Yeah combat machine is the go to budget gun. Other budget recommended guns are cyma aks and jg g36s but to get them from Taiwan gun you need ukara. Have a look through the forum for Ian's guide to noobism there's loads of great information there. Bear in mind also you will need money for a battery or two, charger, eye pro, bbs, boots maybe spare mags and something to carry them in. Also you want to stay away from sites with bb gun in their name. You already mentioned a good place - zero one. They also do free two tone.
  15. Yeah ill find somewhere a little more "cautious" to keep them - ammo tin a good call. ive probably got a metal toolbox laying around i can use @SD i know that there will be little difference over an 8.4 nimh. I mainly wanted them so i could use a different stock(Got 2 smaller lipos that fit in the buffer tube) I actually got +2 rps on the lipo over the nimh though. Trigger response, no major difference i cant tell either way really. however I think its does seem to fire faster when shooting on semi over the nimh. It obviously has some more oomph maybe
  16. Cheers SD that did confirm what I was thinking really.I'll go charge one now to have a bit of a first person lipo nimh comparison. I know the differences, just want to witness them
  17. my lipos have finally arrived and I want to use them. I have an imax b3 btw. Should I just plug it in and charge? Are they then ready to be used? Also where do you store them? All my airsoft stuff lives under my bed so a bit cautious of that
  18. I can view it. The nozzle is moving so no issues there OP: put a bb in that hole shown in the vid and see if it fires
  19. I think the VFC scar is a bit higher than that but has a good reputation and goes for less second hand. There is also the G&G and WE aeg scars around that price but I don't know what one performs better. I think most scars on the market are around that price(maybe not dboys or classic army) so you might want to rethink as you'll also need eye pro, mags batteries and a charger
  20. For anyone thinking of visiting, i have done a small review of AP - http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27124-airsoft-plantation-essex/
  21. If you like AKs and want realism then get the cyma 048. Wood and metal they're solid and good OOTB. Fixed stock means you can get a pretty big battery in there too.
  22. You want a g&g cm16, cyma ak or jg g36 for that price. Yeah that lipo would be ok in any of these. 11.1 lipos increase the cycle rate and cause damage to the trigger contacts. They typically shouldn't be used without a mosfet and some basic tuning
  23. The b6 Has a lot more features. It can charge more cells, it has memory functions and different/better charging modes.
  24. Finally! Visited airsoft plantation today, after last weekend being rather bad at billericay, as i believe i mentioned. Plantation... wow. It was such a great day, the games were much better than the usual ones and the use of vehicles in them really adds something. It is a step above the standard skirmish and at £22 its not too expensive either. Yes, £7 more than skirmish but its definitely well spent. Ill write here or in the sites section tomorrow a better review etc but i would recommend visiting!
  25. ........and like the same in shipping. In my experience, for small orders hobbykings shipping can be the same as the actual item! I k=just have an imax b3 and whilst my lipos havent arrived yet, it seems fine. Its the same as those WE/Nuprol ones around
