I've just sent my GR16 to the buyer via ParcelForce 24. It only costs £5 through work. I completely forgot to add extra insurance though :/ Things have been going too well this week, it's bound to back fire on me. The last one I sent arrived without a problem though -
The Gaol is worth trying I hear. I'm hoping to be able to go next month. Last time I went to The Embassy, my gun tried to melt itself so I ended up running with Pistol only and I did much better with that tbh, so you should be fine.

I used to run the SOPMOD batteries but they're expensive and a bit gutless. Thankfully it's a 10 minute job to solder deans onto the rails in the stock and just use normal LiPo batteries, 7.4v is about as high as I'd go though, apparently with 11.1v the recoil weight doesn't reset fast enough for the gun's cycle speed and you'll end up stripping pistons.

I'm from Syston. The Embassy is my fave site by far. I like MAW, the marshals and players are great but I'm a CQB fan and I dislike woodland. The Towers open on 7th June. The Block is in Burton on Trent, not too far away. I'll be there for the first time on Wednesday. I'd go Embassy if I were you mate. Fire fire zone will still be there after 24th right? Embassy won't. I'm booked in for embassy on 24th. I also joined Shadow Stalkers team. Great guys.

I got the ESS v12 Advancers and bought the VICE Rx inserts. I'll be picking up the lenses tomorrow. Specsavers will do the lenses for you for £39. Specsavers also do free contact lens trials, so I'm giving that a go to see how I get on with contacts, never used them before so figured I'd try for free.

Ok. So the total value of the parts and gun is about £380. The gun is about 6 months old, the internals are about 3 weeks old. Do you think £275 would be a good price?

Looking to get someone's opinion on the value of my shooter. May consider selling it to speed up the saving process for my 416. Regreased Corrected AOE (not done yet but will be shortly as well as a slightly stronger spring) Was shooting at about 318 but that will change when the AOE is corrected and a new spring is put in. Hopefully the strong spring will counteract the FPS loss from the AOE correction so it should remain around the same. I'm just waiting on the spring

Maybe the motor seized? Try taking connecting the motor but not put it in the pistol grip and see if it spins on. Also, go in the gearbox, remove the piston and check your gears spin freely with little resistance. If there's resistance then check for damage, you might need new gears. Shim and regrease while you're in it too.

Make sure you put a load of bbs in the mag, not just a few for test shots. I made this mistake when I first got my gun.

They were supposed to make airsoft a more recognised hobby around the UK, help players with certain issues such as public transport by making the transport companies aware of it and the differences between airsoft and real steel shooting.
I always thought of them as Airsoft's legal representatives if it were ever in danger of being banned or something like that.
But in truth they do very little.

The son of a family friend just recently got locked up for 7 years for armed robbery. He was using an Airsoft gun. Complete bellend. His Dad is huge, I can't imagine what's going to happen to him when he's out. lol. All these idiots are potentially ruining Airsoft for us legitimate players. If they carry on then we're going to end up with either bright coloured guns or none at all.

Don't get me wrong. I'll pay that for a good site. The difference is if it's a high price I'll only attend once a month rather than multiple times. Plus I have to factor in fuel prices. Embassy is close to me, their new one is even closer. I know the area around The Gaol as I'm actually getting married over there next year, so I can have a day out while the other half goes around sorting wedding garb.

People who know me will likely know that I have a bit of a thing for The Embassy in Leicester. It's local, it's great to play in and the marshals are great. Unfortunately, the site is closing as the developers are now beginning building work. Last game is 24th May. Today, First and Only announced a new site in Leicester. The Towers Hospital. 1.2 Million square foot of CQB in an old hospital built in the late 1800s. I'm now saving for a TM CQBR because of this thread. I'll tell the Mrs it's all your faults! I've been looking around for these and a few places say they're discontinued. Is that true? I've also seen reviews from 2010 for them. I thought it would be relatively new. I'm surprised I've not seen anyone selling them on the forums tbh. Anyway, I'm getting one of these, 2 of the batteries and 2 magazines.
