  1. May pop in on the way home from work tomorrow afternoon - but not till 3/4pm. Does anyone know if they do half day tickets? I don't remember seeing them last year..
  2. Definitely takes 4 batteries, 2 on each side - they are a pain to put in. I ended up taping two together to make it easier. All the one's I've had or sold have been very bright...
  3. Heard this on Radio 2 last week whilst driving home..made me want to book a fortnight 'vacation' in Florida, drive around in a convertible whilst wearing a suit without a shirt and shoes without socks. Instead I just dug out my old Jan Hammer CD...
  4. Sorry i stand corrected by the chap above...purchasing.
  5. Remember UKARA is just one of many different forms of defense. It's not the holy grail of RIF ownership!
  6. I remember around 1984 Thatcher decided every school should have a computer so our primary school got a Links Machine??? I think it was called..... No one actually used it for programming apart from one of the teachers who made a pirate game that everyone in the whole school would queue up in line to play haha
  7. I've had a few of the ACOG fibre's in stock in the past, they are really neat in regards to not needing any batteries, there's nothing to maintain, just work out of the box. I used a 4x for a while but found it a pain, would rather have a 1x but it's all down to the type of style you play. Build quality is pretty decent for a clone (well the ones I've had in), some come with trades some don't, made by loads of difference factories all over the place I would guess. £99 is a tad high yes. Hope that helps a little.
  8. Anyone ever play that FPS shooter Call of Juarez? The game where two teams tried to plant and defuse dynamite. Was full of bugs and oddities but on a LAN this was one of the best multiplayer games around.
  9. This place is apparently in Cornwall. Surely someone will turn this into an Airsoft venue. Imagine the fun :-) http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=33f_1403958253
  10. 100:300 - 100:200 etc are what they call Helical gears - some info here: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?p=526008
  11. Thanks for the kind mention chaps. If you're interested in a shell mate I'll so you a special intro price. Personally I really like the QD design (some people hate them). Not quite sure how well the gearbox will fit with a G&P though, always difficult with aftermarket parts.
  12. Where is this WW? Ahh sorry just seen it in another thread......

Hey nice one swoop :-) Sounds like a very interesting job you had there. I wasn't the biggest Bottom fan but I made sure I got front row tickets for their tour in 1991 - such a good night. May have to dig out my Dangerous Brothers and Bad News video's

"His Macs??". I was 8 when The Young Ones hit the screen, didn't understand many of the jokes and references at the time but slowly over the years with each watch you see just how clever the comedy was. I don't think the BBC has put out anything even close since then.
  15. My first games console, it's doesn't get much more retro than this :-) Combat blew my mind!!
  16. My clone takes 2 batteries.
  17. hey mate, I've got QD complete gearboxes on my site, also gearbox shells designed on the ARES model. http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=1_10 These may suit your needs, however you may just want to buy a drop-in like the one on Gunfire which is more standard etc. Give me a shout if interested and I'll sort you out with some forum prices only :-)
  18. Great looking site, so much potential. Shame bit far for me :-(
  19. haha I've seen some of the Jingles vids - nice chap. For me first played paintball at 15 1989 I think, loved it for years but was too expensive looking back. Got into airsoft 10 years ago now - just don't have the time now to play as much as I'd like. Enjoy it while you can....
  20. Sorry to hear about the medical condition, as Bob Hoskins once said "It's good to talk", I for one enjoy your posts so please keep them up and hope you get better soon :-)
  21. Nice explanation Ian - how on earth do you find the time! :-)
  22. Sure Ian, I'd gladly have you down as a V3 reviewer :-) AK's don't get enough loving.... It will probably be motors, gears, pistons and cylinders in regard to seeing how well they work in 3rd party gearboxes etc. I'll be sure to keep you informed.
  23. Cheers Lambster. I'm due to put in my re-order with ZCI next week so hopefully get a closer look on how their motors and gears have progressed. I'm trying to get them to provide free samples that I can give away to the community in exchange for reviews.
  24. All depends on how much money you want to burn or what you really want to achieve. One of the keys to making a high speed gearbox is getting the shimming and AOE correct with of course the correct parts, potentially lots of trial and error before you get it correct but it's all part of the fun :-)
