  1. @Mr3ko wtf! is that a sticker on those mags? do they come out of the box like that. how much did you pay for the hi-cap? are they flash wind or wheel.
  2. true, been looking more into importing directly myself last couple of weeks, just a small selection of RIF's, but in fairly large numbers. Importation prices seem to change on a weekly basis, that is you can find an agent who will ship Airsoft products.
  3. gbp to euro hasn't changed since Nov, not sure about euro to usd or rmb though. either way inflation affecting Poland just like it is in UK
  4. Could be their supplies used to come via train from China via either Russia / Belarus, or through Ukraine. That's gone now I guess. That's if via Rail, which isn't that common due to most couriers not shipping Airsoft (banned) products via rail.
  5. I'd avoid any chrome plated springs, generally lower quality Chinese piano wire that will lose FPS over time. I'm not sure what the ARES springs are like. With the SR25 you have a slightly longer spring space so I'm guessing it's a little different to regular AEG's in regards to power (can anyone confirm??). Sadly you might have to buy a few different springs before you get the right one for 425. Not taking into account compression issues as well...Often it's tricky. How long is your current stock spring? I've just got in stock some M140 springs: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/gearparts-aeg-spring-m140, or https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/gearparts-aeg-spring-m120
  6. @Misterius Please let us know what you decide. When are you arriving in the UK?
  7. You're absolutely correct. 4 years ago whilst working for a government agency I was tasked with pricing up just a single system, secure government approved cloud vs on-prem Dell VMWare solution, the cost over 4 years for the cloud service was something like 7-8 times more expensive at that point. The beauty of something like VMware within an on-prem cluster is you can use all your old out of warranty hardware
  8. Yeah for sure. Used to love working with on-prem server rooms, untangling network cables, diving under floors etc. Now big business have muscled in. Last couple of places I've worked at were secure environments so still got to work with hardware now and then. Miss it a little, not really done much IT in the past 2 years, need to get myself back in the game. Spoke to a few recruitment agencies and as usual they all want to know if you've got the latest certification etc etc, it's just exhausting keeping everything up to date.
  9. I left the dizzy-heights of programming or "development" to work in Infrastructure, mostly Linux, VMware and Storage but heck I'll do anything
  10. Had to look that up haha, never heard that phrase before after 25 years in IT and super average at programming
  11. All I'm thinking is to get 350fps with a M135 that's quite a chop, how much of the M135 did you lose? What brand was the M135? Try another motor but if it's brand new and you think it's got a problem you really should speak to the store you got it from.
  12. Could be one of many things, are you running 7.4v? Battery good? Upload a video of it shooting. Probably not the best idea to chop down a M135 spring for 350fps. You'll probably need to open it up or return to the shop you got it from for them to take a look.
  13. Funny enough when I mentioned on Facebook that a friend of mine was working on a new 'airsoft defense' system that would be independently audited by an IT security firm on a yearly basis, I still had some people commenting they wouldn't trust the new system, how they were afraid of their details being "out there", even though they were already registered with UKARA had been for years. They were seemingly under some false pretence that the UKARA was stored on a non Internet connected stand-alone PC in some high security vault...
  14. why do you want a longer inner barrel?
  15. It's only 10 minutes from where I live and every local person who went who I've spoken to had nothing but bad things to say. Isn't 2022 the last time they are getting to use the venue?
  16. The stock copper cylinder was broken? Do you mean all scratched up inside? There's not much to break with a cylinder.
  17. Didn't you get a complete e&c gearbox? Both cylinders should work, your problem most likely is something else, nozzle length, different gearbox to receiver issues etc
  18. Nice, I see they are bringing out a version without that hideous clubfoot 🙂
  19. 8.07 she isn't there at my local site 🙂
  20. @Hamster82 sure thing. This is the M95. Originally these were supposed to be the M100 but on about 50% of the testers they were coming out to around M95 power with 0.2g. However for many guns they were spot on the M100 range. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/gearparts-aeg-spring-m95 This is the M105. For 50% they are a little too hot. So AEG's with great compression you might find it shooting a little over, however great for AEG's where you just want to compensate for small airleaks. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/gearparts-aeg-spring-m105 In 2 weeks time we are taking delivery of the M100 springs which sit right in the middle.
  21. It really depends on the quality of the spring material. The majority of Chinese springs are made from cheaper Chinese steal which don't hold their shape and force (N/mm) over time. It's not uncommon for a cheaper spring to lose around 10mm in size after the first 500 shots say and 24 hour compressed in an AEG. My Gearparts springs are made from Japanese oil tempered steel that is imported to the factory at quite a cost. Before opting for that material I tried and tested 5 different chinese steel springs from 5 different factories and all the same, they all lost power over time. With the Japanese steel I get practically no decrease in size, even after 400,000 cycles. 320 on 0.2g with a M100 isn't bad. Yes you could try a new M100 or even M105 spring but there's no telling if that will result in a better fps, closer to 350fps or even over. If you're happy to test though and don't mind having the possibility of spare springs then go for it. What brand of spring are you using?
  22. Not noticed a huge difference between the strays, however there's was a big difference in the quality of thicker silicon grease I tried. Nothing came close to Super Lube silicone grease. Not sure what they put in it - almost evil stuff! Probably a little overkill for Airsoft.
  23. The reasoning behind this is down to the huge amount of variables involved. I always try to help where I can and never give any guarantees when I personally haven't installed the various part in the same gun from the same era. Dates are important as well since manufacturers change their products from batch to batch. It's a minefield. I don't know any tech who considers themselves an "expert", "competent with certain brands" is probably how they would describe their skills. Always something to go wrong or surprise you 🙂
  24. @clkdavid EMS will ship (air freight) the items from HK I believe, UK part of the shipping is then handled by Parcel Force. You might also be able to find a sea freight shipping company who ships from HK, this will be much cheaper but I only know of companies who ship minimum 2 pallets loads. As you're in HK you might have better luck, if you do find a company please let me know.
  25. I am planning on bringing in quite a few from China but not till end of spring after I finish up the new website, also looking into getting some factory made myself (cast), seems the best way forward to get supplies flowing.
