  1. Hah, got to admit I laughed a bit at the anticlimax and the 'oh shit' when the first one failed to go off. Bloody hell, scary when they do though..
  2. Most peoples jobs don't involve crimes against humanity...
  3. Turning up to a regular skirmish dressed as an SS officer...just no. People look on us badly enough as it is, please don't make it any worse. Can imagine the daily mail article now..
  4. If you do want a 350fps AEG you can use in a dmr-ish way, I'd recommend the g&g ebr-l. Completely impractical to run around with (VERY front heavy), but if you like to sit back then the one I used had excellent range and accuracy for a stock gun. And if you did one day want to turn it into a full dmr, it has the look for it. Just make sure you get a good sling and a grip pod...
  5. Do you know what the dmr rules are at your local sites? A lot of places don't accommodate for them.
  6. Apparently the KA P90 is a bit shite, so it's between either the TM tri-rail P90 or the Cyma PP19, would like the G&G but it's pretty expensive in comparison. Logic says the TM will have a more solid performance, but the externals on the Cyma actually look pretty good, full steel receiver etc... Struggling to find much info on them though, anyone actually seen a Cyma PP19 irl?
  7. When it was firing what did it sound like, very whiny? Also if you remove the motor, cylinder and piston, screw the gearbox together and try to turn the gears, do they spin freely? If you haven't already, probably want to dispose of that battery, sounds like it's fried..
  8. If you want a more skirmishable revolver the new Dan Wessons will have hop up, not sure when they're being released and they'll still be pretty impractical due to 6 shots etc...but at least it'll be more accurate!
  9. Externally I'd say the WE and G&G SCAR-L's are of a similar quality, both very nice. Internally though the G&G will be better stock, not that the WE is particularly bad but it's just nothing special inside. Mine had pretty crap compression and the stock gears are naff, also shoots at only ~270fps ootb. However the WE is considerably cheaper, and now I've quite heavily upgraded the internals on mine the trigger response is great and fps is much more reasonable. (mmm casv scar http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/27288-how-to-fit-a-casv-rail-on-a-we-scar-l/) WE also do the SCAR-H and SSR versions, which look awesome but not sure if you can get mid cap magazines for them which is a shame as they use a proprietary mag system.
  10. The problem I find with goggles is when there's no airflow. You're in woodland running around, wind has died down, and now you're hiding behind a tree. Give it a couple of minutes and they'll steam right up. Tempted to get turbofan's but they're bloody expensive..
  11. Is it a dan wesson by any chance? If so, no hop up so it's going to be a bit useless sadly.
  12. I quite like the two stage trigger, already use it on my f2000. Don't suppose anyone's had a chance to compare the externals on the king arms and tm p90's? Internals you can swap out, stuck with the the outside though! Shame if the pp19's are naff, really like the look of them.. Edit: Just watched a review of the CYMA PP19, actually looks pretty decent! Mags are massive though.
  13. After reading the thread on the Spectre M4 I've got it into my head that I want to sell my KA M4 and get myself something compact once I've got my UKARA renewed (had to run out just when I want something new...). Don't want M4 based but considering anything else which is small, electric and around the £200 mark, gas is too much hassle for my liking. Thoughts so far: Spectre M4 TM/KA/G&G P90 CYMA/S&T Bizon PP19 G&G UMP Anything I've not thought of or one which particularly shines? I know TM are made of magical fairy dust but like to keep my options open. Had an ICS Mp5 before, really nice gun but don't think I'd go for another Mp5. Leaning towards P90 at the moment as I'm an FN fanboy.
  14. As cool as that stuff looks, don't think it'll be very practical. Not just from restricting movement but you'll bloody boil in it I get warm enough in my WAS 901...
  15. Thanks, wrote a brief guide on how to fit in to WE Scar's if you're interested in doing it yourself, think it should work the same on the H. Fairly sure the upper receiver is pretty much the same..
  16. Yup it's the WE AEG, it does fit as long as you're prepared to do a good bit of modifying. Same dimensions as the GBB I think.. Can write up a brief guide on how I did it if you're interested, needed a dremmel, hacksaw, drill, fine sand paper, Krylon, two blocks of wood, needlenose pliers, a thread tap and various other bits I've probably forgotten.
  17. There's someone selling a G&G F2000 on the zeroone forums for around that much, they can run midcaps but do require a slight modification to the magazine. +Solidly built +Long Barrel +Good internally +Can use 2 point sling, but will require you to fabricate the rear attachment (not difficult) +Very easy to take apart +Good battery space (can fit 2200mah 7.4 lipo) +Excellent balance, center sits right above the trigger -Quite a lot of proprietary internals -Weird trigger system, really needs a mosfet - but simple to install on v6 gearbox -Fairly weighty compared to an m4 -Not much you can do to it externally -It's fat, like really chunky. Takes a bit of getting used to. Think you'll struggle to get a good bullpup for £200 new, they tend to be relatively expensive.
  18. Woo, finished. Although might still add a sight..still undecided which
  19. Read the instructions and double check the settings, charging them incorrectly could possibly start a fire. I charge mine on a block of wood on a worktop, if storing it for a long period of time without use it'll need a reasonable amount of power in it, but not low or fully charged. Probably best not to store lipos under a bed, the chance of one catching fire is very low, but there have been cases of houses burning down due to improper charging etc. You can get fire resistant lipo charging bags but they're not really necessary if everything's set up correctly.
  20. I had a similar issue with Dytac polymer mags, turned out that the bb release arm/lever/thing stuck out a bit too far and so couldn't be pushed back far enough by the nozzle in the magwell. Might be worth comparing that part to the magazines that do work, if it does turn out to be that you'll need to do some modifying.
  21. Need to spray an alloy CASV front end black, is Krylon the best option? Or is there another, more hardwearing paint which is readily available and would look right?
  22. In the process of modifying a CASV to fit my SCAR-L, which turned out to kind of be a bit of a pain in the ass. Still need to finish off a few bits and then spray it black to cover up the bits I had to slice up. Swapping out the birdcage with a battlecomp flashhider.
  23. From what I've gathered looking at shops + ebay, the regular civilian version costs crazy money (like £100+), but most of the ones on eBay are from the British army as they have union jacks which are unique to the military version. I guess they get issued out, people don't use them and then sell them on eBay. That's what I reckon anyway
  24. You can get bullet ants for around the same price on ebay, very comfortable to wear, reasonable airflow with foam removed. Never used v12's so can't compare but ants are very good for the money.
  25. Might seem daft, but are you winding the magazines up properly? If you pull the small tab back by where the bb's come out do they eject? If that's working fine might want to make sure the mags are seating properly, not used the regular M14 but on the EBR they can be a bit tricky to get in sometimes. Also what bb's are you using? Oops, missed that bit. To be honest bulldog bb's are crap, try some Blaster/devils 0.25g's.
