Thanks everyone .. really means a lot to me. I am confident of playing again, perhaps this was natures way of telling me to take a break or something .. who knows, but I will remain on the forums and still be part of this fantastic community.

For those interested. Sadly I am currently at the stage of constant dizziness, lightheadedness , sickness and nausea .. The tablets I was on no longer work so for the time being any phycial activity including working, driving etc is offlimits, I have further appointments with my ENT doctor in September so I will see what they say then .. at the moment, I do not feel well enough to attempt airsoft, let alone marshaling.

I asked Dev if he would consider me as a Mod.to the site, I am a lifetime support of the site and wish to stay active and help people ... As for future plans .. I will take each day in time and get all the help.I can to keep this disease at bay so I can enjoy life and hopefully one day play airsoft again and try and organise forum meetups.

Monty has agreed to buy my pink m4 and take the responsibility of upholding the ancient pink code of warriors.

I didn't know whether to scream at the doctor or just cry... all my hard work with airsoft, moving house and finding work now ive lost most of it in a flash, cant drive, sick from work .. Football and airsoft down the pan, Its a crushing blow to what was a fresh start .. I was even posting for PC parts on the other thread .... I feel really empty at the moment.

I feel like im letting people down .....

Hey Guys. I just wanted to say a heartfelt farewell to my beloved sport of Airsoft. I was diagnosed today with a serious health condition called Menieres Disease: http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Menieres-disease/Pages/Introduction.aspx As such I have been informed by my GP and ENT doctor to avoid driving or any activities that can bring on my symptoms .. while I was on medication for this, the pills no longer seem to be working and I am forced to leave work and stop the activites I love. As such for the benefit of my health to leave the sport in the hope of one day returning in better health. I am in the process of selling my current airsoft equipment including my pink weapons to anyone willing to buy them from me .. No this is not a hoax or frape this is 110% true .. If anyone is interested they are in the appropiate sales pages I wish to remain part of the community and offer any help or advice I can to newcomers and members alike, having played the sport for 10 years I feel I have some knowledge I can share. I wish everyone all the best in their airsoft pursuits and feel free to drop me a line anytime. Del Monty.

I was wondering if anyone had any old PC parts or bits they no longer need. I am without a desktop PC after losing my old previous one (it died) and currently too poor to go out and by a brand new one and wondered if anybody could help or know where I could source parts to rebuild a new one... Not looking for anything flash just something that gets me on the net .. Any help would be forever grateful. Del Monty.

A friend of mine was looking to start a business recording weddings and celebrations with a drone camera .. and this got me thinking .. wouldn't this make a cool idea for Airsoft .. recording skirmish days or firefights from a drone camera .. it would give game days a new perspective for videos and pictures .. obviously the operator would have to be neutral so not to ruin games by calling out player/team locations but from a cameraman's view it would open up the game days and give way to some exciting footage I think .. The US Sells a camera drone called a Phantom 2 , the price is a lot .. but I am sure there could be cheaper versions available in the UK. Interesting idea .. or talking rubbish ? I am familiar with the issues of drone use and commercial flying .. not sure on the UK stance however. http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-2-vision

I was going to mock you for watching Hollyoaks ,, then common sense luckily saved me ... I use an holdall for my gear and equipment, a gun bag from Taiwan gun, and an old Army ammo box for bb's and gas.

Eye protection is the single most important expense you will have in Airsoft .. I spent over £100 on my ESS ICE glasses, being a speccy blind man I am not able to enjoy the luxury of Mesh in either comfort or sight. ( I once tried wearing my everyday glasses under mesh and fogged up like a muther ) .. Do your research and then research again .. you only have 1 eyesight so its better to take your time and find a system that works for you, Mesh maybe the answer for you .. but with everything it comes with risks.
