Russe11 got a reaction from beastmode in Newbie in Weston super Mare
Welcome to the forums. There are some good sites around Bristol. Spartan up near the airport is quite good
As you seem to have a subconscious fear of air attack, that may however be an issue
Black ops at Cribbs causeway and Portishead are okay too. Bristol Airsoft at the courthouse on Bridewell street is also fun for a bit of variation but it's a very small site and people tend to get bored with it.
It's definitely worth hiring until you get a defence sorted out. 2 tone guns just look daft and by the time you sort a defence, many of the retailers will start doing Xmas deals.

Some sites allow throwing weapons, some don't. The big problem is that although a throwing hatchet may not hurt people, it might knock someones eyepro off.

Maybe it was just the last successful cavalry charge, by the Aussie Light Horse then?
hmm looking into it, it was the battle of Beersheba in WW1 Egypt. Subsequent 'Cavalry charges' have not been recognised as Cavalry charges as the troops were using guns whilst mounted and were not therefore technically Cavalry.

How I would make a WW1 trench:
-Draw the trench layout on a board
-Use an air drying modelling clay to layout the floor of the trench and use matchsticks for the side supports. Build up the sides with matchsticks and add any boards for walking on.
-Use polyfiller or plaster of paris to build up the trench walls by layering over the back of the match sticks
-use masking tape and scrunched up newspaper to build up the surrounding land.
-build the surface of the surrounding land up with plaster or clay.

Nah, it's cos I don't know what size I actually need and cannot find single ones anyway. A pack of 20 the right size is the same price as 255 assorted sizes.

Make your own. It will be much more satisfying.

2nd AIF (2nd world war Aussie). Australian Imperial Force is an organisation created separately from the normal army (militia). The Australian Army was not allowed to operate outside Australian Territory by the constitution. The AIF was not the army so it was not bound by this rule but had to be entirely formed of volunteers.
1st 2 pics are early war. A mix of WW1 Australian gear and British gear. This is based upon pictures of Aussies during the early Libya campaigns
Late war (jungle). By now the Aussies are working with Americans so you see American influences such as the lace up gaiters and I am using US HBT trousers, which the Aussies are known to have managed to obtain.

Damn you. Because of this thread I have now ordered a couple of kits:
1:76 Matilda MkII from airfix
1:76 Australian Infantry by Revell
Now I will have to work out how to make a small patch of 1:76 jungle to put them in.
I imagine a bit of model making will be quite fun, I haven't done it in years.

After Matilda tried to explode and kill me, I have had to do some repairs.
I have therefore bought 225 O rings
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EOO7XBM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
300 E clips
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0056FR7GY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The O rings seem to cover just about any size I will ever need. I only need 1 e clip and hopefully its one of these sizes
Oh I also bought some moleskin trousers the other day, in the hope they would match my Aussie jacket and stand in as Aussie woolen trousers. They arrived today and look about right

Best airsoft Sniper rifle= Matilda. My Iron Airsoft SMLE. This is purely on the basis of appearance rather than everyone else's silly accuracy criteria though
