@hitmanNo2 @RogerborgI wonder if its the Mayhem SouthEast people who took over the old Tech Brigade site. They are primarily a Paintball company, but have been doing Airsoft on the side for some time.
Though I do see from Sentinels FB page that they are migrating some of the props away from The Outpost to a place in Watford (Reforger or one of the two Red 1 sites maybe).

I've done this and made a custom mount for a cap as well that works well so far even though I just use shooting glasses and an ND tactical lower facemask -

If he does he can just install an ex-fog -
Custom gear. Any recommendations?

Seconded. May not be exactly what you need but any kit ive requested to be made has been top notch and quick turn around -
I completed the story mode at the weekend. Honestly, I loved it. Had a good amount of nostalgia from some of the original games with additions of a new style of gameplay.

Red1 is ok but don't expect much going into it Sentinel in Dunstable as mentioned above is fighting around a singular building that has a medium sized killhouse type layout inside Best bet is jumping on the A1 and going to The Gaol, I'm in Knebworth and thats my go to for CQB. If you dont mind outdoor games another go to of mine is Reforger which coincidently is almost opposite Red1 - Large woodland site with a built up "village area" and multiple long games played through the day over fairly large playing area's.
-
Usually fairly quick but comms were a delayed from my experience (best of ringing). As mentioned above they do tend to be on the expensive side.

Welcome to my world. Believe me getting anything into the UK is much easier than the vast majority of other countries I ship to. Some boarder forces I've provided the same information time and time again but it has become apparent that if the same guy isn't "on the desk" the following day then you normally have to start at square one.
-
Exactly this. I've worked in global logistics almost my entire career from one degree to another. Believe or not sometimes there is absolutely no rhyme or reason why something gets held other times it depends who is working that day to how much effort they want to apply to that specific shipment. Seems like as you say whoever it was decided to cover their arse (I'd probably be doing the same) and requesting the information regardless of if its already on the shipment, for all the person on the desk knows the sender just slapped whatever they wanted on it hoping to just pass through having seen it had the "relevant" information on it.

I never got on with full seal or mesh and I use my Wiley X's for RS shooting as well as they have interchangeable lenses much like some of the Revision range.

Yep 😂 Maybe he likes spinal tap

For transparency and interest I had a look at my own build cost (pictured below) vs what a Devgru could be. TM Socom - £465 vs TM Devgru - £660 (total level 10 upgrade cost with most expensive options picked £1862.53 total Rif included) My level 10 build cost - for the Socom = £834.61 (minus the Rif itself but inclusive of labour and postage/expedite turn around in 2019) Potential cost of a level 10 with most expensive options plus 72hr turn around would be £1202.53 Mags as you say are £25 new Vortex seem to hold value considering the have an unlimited warranty which transfers irrespective of owner (or at least used to) Chest rig doesn't look to be anything special by a long shot and the tracer as you say could be any brand so could vary in cost as well. Definitely dreaming at that price, but stranger things have happened.

Thanks mate, what mags are generally the go to for the AAP?
-
Question for the hive mind on these - my friend has just bought one and me not having any knowledge on them couldn't help problem solve. Playing last night and the gun ran fine for the first game or two, suddenly the gun just started venting mags and the nozzle seems to jam up slightly when returning after each shot (then vents) hes tried realigning the hop as that appeared to have twisted slightly out of plum but its still venting and the bolt/nozzle still seems to not be returning properly. any ideas?

Played at The Gaol on their Pistol and Shotgun night last night. First outing in quite a while for me and it was well worth getting back home at gone midnight. The site had changed a hell of a lot since I was last there, the players (albeit small numbers - 12 I think) were great and a real joy to play with. Certainly reinvigorated my enjoyment for playing and even better being pitch black and on a site as exciting as The Gaol.

Wrist. In all the years I've been playing people have NEVER turned up like this to a game (that's not to say they don't but I certainly haven't seen it) I wore one once and as I say above the wrists seems to be the most sensible approach - I had both taped by the Marshal which I had no issues at all with. I don't understand everyone wants to resemble a 70's porn stars mossy cleft than do anything even close to as interesting as the picture above because of the popularized swamp donkey gimp suit. Time and time again I notice that people seem to assume a ghillie is the must have for concealment when in actual fact airosfters are generally like a slightly dimmer version of a t-rex being that if you don't move chances are you wont get noticed if you have a decent solid colour or pattern on. I miss CafeRacing (if you don't know him look him up on YouTube)
-
Not necessarily, some ghillies are darker than others, some use different guns, some use full face protection, some don't. There's generally more than one way to tell people apart even when wearing even if they are wearing Alan Titchmarshes perv curtains but yes generally its easier to have a word with all of a group rather than pick out an individual all depends how accurate the complainer is, more often than not its a shit description. Didn't say you did. Numerous times people have tried this when I worked as a marshal, ended up taping their arm rather than giving them a nice velcro arm band. Seen a fair few instances while playing guess what happened... the marshals made them wear it on their arm and hovered over them majority of the day. It was at Phoenix from memory. I didn't see the band on his arm in the video I might have been mistaken but he usually does those self loving 360 spin videos and was fairly certain I didn't see it on his arm, may have been pre-game but I have been at games where he has been and have seen him put it round his ankle or leg.
-
If you have been going to sites that allow you to wear an ARMband around your leg or ankle then that's fine, its their decision. Speaking from a marshaling perspective on the sites I have worked on my position is this. If I got a complaint about someone be it sniper or not generally someone will come to me and so "so and so on green team is doing this that and the other" if you are wearing that ARMband on your ankle and decide you want to do something knobbish or is perceived as being knobbish by the other team it doesn't leave much for someone to give a decent description or tell me what team you are on. This then forces the occasional scenario where EVERYONE wearing a ghillie that day has to be told off together as, as a marshal we cant get a positive ID. My personal thoughts on it are this. Bollocks to how much you have spent on your suit, its a mute point. You are playing a team based game where by you are marked so the other team can positively identify you and shoot you. If you choose to hide that after a marshal has placed that on your arm because it ruins the aesthetic of the tree you are trying to emulate then you are cheating (if playing on a site that states you have to have it on show). If you are playing on a site that allows you to move it then again, their site, their rules. I will however say that I have been to sites that allow this and the amount of snipers that then bitch and moan all day about being lit up is a hell of a lot more than the one or two people on this thread who "accept" that risk - take one of mustangs recent video as case and point, constantly gets hit by his own team but if he were wearing the band on his arm, more than likely would have been less of a problem but then again they could have just had it out for him. Not sure why but this whole thread takes me back to a day at copehill down when a sniper got very very salty and complained to the DS running the event that he'd spent in excess of £500 building and crafting his suit only to spend most of his weekend either dead waiting for a medic or having to leave it in the harbor area because a large number of people on the other team had either thermal scopes or helmet mounted thermal. Not the same situation but did make me LOL. My post is not directed at anyone so no toy throwing please. Just my thoughts based off of posts already made.

In fairness I've done this before at one of my local shops as a mutual meeting ground, the buyer got to test it at the shop as well and a lot safer than meeting in a local tesco car park

Most efficient storage for rifles in a Studio flat.
clumpyedge replied to Asomodai's topic in General Discussion
Personally for me and depending on budget I would look at everything people have suggested however there are a couple of options people haven't mentioned. Peli make multi rifle lock boxes (this is a very expensive route) see the multi rifle case - this was just for reference but other models would accommodate 5 or 6 rifles. 5.11 also make the CAMS bag that has double or triple rifle (depending on the dimensions of the guns) underneath the main compartment. The main compartment has removable inserts to make it differing sizes which could potentially hold all of your surplus gear as well. This is also somewhat lockable if you use a few padlocks on the zips. This is also the better option in terms of footprint. 5.11 also make the SOMS (some of my shit) which is the smaller of the variant and without the under bag storage (I currently own a SOMS and its great for storing all my stuff minus guns and takes up the space on top of my wardrobe, if I organised it a bit better I could fit all my gear, my M4 and my MK46 in - Alas I am lazy). The CAMS or SOMS are a lot less conspicuous in terms of storage but also allow for better transport as they are both wheeled with extendable travel handle. Peli (or other rebrand) also have travel handles which would be useful for peace of mind if traveling to games that you aren't leaving your stuff at home. Looking at your list of guns the CAMS would easily store them all plus your gear (depending how much stuff you have obviously) -
Ah - The ol'rabbit hop

Fair points. It does however leave me thankful that the events I go typically aren't frequented by him or his entourage and funnily enough the vast majority of the time have little to no drama ever.

I've lost one of my bottom front teeth, was at a CQB site in the open area. Guy came round the corner with his gun up way to high. We were about 5m from each other and blasted my tooth into nothingness. Yes, I could have been wearing lower face protection and it was my own fault for not having packed it that day but there is also an onus on every player to be aware of where and what you are shooting. Did I lose my rag at the guy, yes. Should I of, maybe not. I don't have a problem with head shots when they are justified but like you say to do them purely for clickbait and internet drama crosses the line into being a sadist. To publicly post it to a community that has a hell of a lot of new players sends completely the wrong message about a sport supposedly based on honor. Other media outlets also have a lot to answer for when they advertise the sport based purely off the above mentioned clickbait and drama.
-
Ah. Seems NAF have confirmed he was not on site so the guy on ZeroIn is going to look a bit of a numpty regardless.

Whats the context, not that matters - just a very strange video.
