No point doing something pointless and silly unless you do it properly

Some Neoprene gloves,8€ in Aldi, don't worry,I'll be heading back to Cavan soon*. Hey,I'm a 15 year old desperately trying to save money for a new gun,Don't bluddy judge me.The inner geardo in me is screaming ''Why u no buy soviet leather glooooove'' but I can't resist dem modern textiles yo.
Took them out for a test, more or less waterproof except for the section which allow your thumb and index finger to be open, pretty damn warm too. I like this purchase
*It's an Irish Joke thing that county Cavan is full of cheapskates.
EG:
A Monaghan Footballer ,a meath Footballer and a Cavan Footballer were out fishing on Lough Sheelin one day when Jesus walked across the water and joined them in their boat.
The boys were gob-smacked! "Jaysus" was all they could say in dumb harmony!
The monaghan man said humbly "Jesus, me back's been at me ever since I played U16 football against Meath many moons ago. Can you do anything for me? Jesus touched his back and he was relieved of the pain for the first time in 44 years.
The Meath man, sporting a pair of thick black rimmed glasses with milk-bottle-end lens, "I haven't seen the stout in front of me since I got a hit in the 1965 under-21 championship match against Dublin. What can you do for me." Jesus gently removed the antique glasses and flung them into the lake and immediately the Meath man could see as far as the Tower of Lloyd in Kells.
Jesus then turned to the Cavan man who leapt to the back of the boat and cried "Don't put a finger on me - I'm on a disability pension!"
Thought AF UK would benefit from an Injection of Cancer Irish humor.

Henry Krank Alarm Mine (12 Gauge) - £10.16 + £3.64 P&P ~ Airsoft World (Cheaper than from Henry direct doh!)
Cyclone7 .209 Primer-to-12g Adapter & 100 Primers - £12.95 + 100 Primers £5 + £9 P&P ~ Combat South
I'm hoping that this device will fit into a 40mm 'nade pouch, funnily enough, but as I can't find any dimensions online, I'll wait until I have it measured before forking out. That said, I'm imagining enclosing it inside some kind of metal tube, an empty Lynx can or something, to make it easier to deploy in the field without getting leaf mould / dirt / etc. squidged into the spring and safety hole, so a smoke grenade pouch might be necessary.

I rent a flat at the moment so will do when I buy a house, should be in the new year. At the moment all my gear lives in a BMW triathlon bag and my plate carrier is hanging in a closet.

I like the way you hang everything up to! When I buy a house in the new year this is something I'm doing!

Here's a little DIY on my DE M56A.
Firstly, there was no top rail for optics, so I had to remedy that my filing down the rear sight so I had some purchase to put a slightly longer screw in as theres no play at all on the upper receiver.
A little keying and some epoxy, 1 very short screw and a slightly longer one into the rear sight.
Second, I added the cartridge holder.. being a cheap b*****d I bought some 20mm pipe clips for a quid and with my trusty epoxy, a little sawing and some short screws.. voila, a shotgun cartridge holder. (Note the foregrip isn't attached yet)
Third, this was a stroke of luck, a friend of mine asked me to order him a M56DL, it arrived damaged (snapped at the stock), so I was issued a refund, the driver inspected it and let me keep the bits.
So I now have a new stock, I had to saw down the inner plastic retainer tube and sand it flush to the inner handle so the buffer tube sat perfect and held it in place tight.
The next mod will be to add the lower rail for the angled foregrip (pictured above), I'm just waiting for my very cheap alloy weaver rail to arrive from China.
The torches at the front will be removed when the right clamp arrives from China.. good old China.. and their month waiting times.
At the end of the day, I wanted a Short shotgun with a stock, and that's what I've got, I'm chuffed with it and I'll be using it tomorrow (15/12/13) for the first time.. It's a good job I have 20+ cartridges, they don't last long in tri-shots.
I've repaired the M56DL with the old rifle style stock, its very long now, I'm gonna mod the sh*t out of it when I acquire some more bits and bobs.
I might rough it up and go for the vintage look.. who knows.
Cheers, any questions on how to's the just ask and I'll explain the best I can.

With regards to the whole Tactical Fez thing... I ran it past the seamstress I work with today and she's happy to put a few together should anybody want in but not have the requisite crafting skill.
I know it started out as a joke, but these could be a hilarious unifying feature for all those AF-UK members attending Op Shining Light as HAS-MAD, I figure many of us will be rolling together anyway?

Liking the use of a plaster float as a handle! That's proper DIY, some sites allow it others don't it depends on the game and how they are feeling. Perhaps you need to be happy to lend it out if the game is reversed.

Having learned of Ed's hatred of non real styled guns during the NAE I'd like everybody to post up their guns which have absolutely no bearing on real life styles, I'll start:
first off a "Quite literally" M4 pistol Ed and I believe Ian had a look at it at the NAE, and hopefully it'll be finished by the end of the month with the Judge loadout.
Second off, an M60 modified (still in early phases) to work with P90 mags as the box mags reliability was laughable and I hated having to carry the gun so far away from my chest.

Standard MTP PCS UBACS
Standard MTP PCS Combat trousers
My new belt rig, I'll be skirmishing this for the first time on Sunday 21st this weekend.
From left to right I have, a double pistol mag pouch, a grenade pouch, a double rifle mag pouch, my dump pouch back centre, utility pouch (which I'm using to carry 6 more rifle mags with this particular set up) then on the far right, another double pistol mag pouch.
My Osprey MkIV, admin panel top centre, with my radio in the pocket.
Medic pouch on the left and 6 rifle mags on the right.
MTP Camelbak, definitely going to be needing this if the weather holds up. I clip it to the back of my Osprey.
The primary, my ICS L85A2.
The secondary, my WE Glock 17 Gen3 with a Level 3 Blackhawk Serpa holster on a drop leg platform.
I really need to get around to spraying the holster, though I can't decide whether to do it OD or Tan... Any thoughts?
I wear the holster on my regular trouser belt, under the molle belt. We'll have to see how I get on with it at the weekend.
My Oakley SI gloves - they're the real deal not one of those clones you can get. Though the clones are actually more comfortable in my experience. Blackhawk knee pads, I think they're in OD, or it could be FG, I forget. My Mk7 with my home grown skrim net concoction on top for extra snazzy camo power.
I also have some Elite Desert Lowa boots, but I forgot to take a photo of them.
The belt is new, so depending on how I get on with it this weekend will determine if I keep it, throw it, or alter it. -

I think it was Mike I was talking to about plastic machete's. Anywho, that gave me the idea. It cost £3.99 inc P&P from fleabay and comes with an all shiny silver 'blade', unlike the photo in the listing. That would never do so I taped off the 'edge' and sprayed the blade black. I then removed the tape to see how it looked, decided it looked far too pristine and distressed it. I then sprayed it with Clear Coat, like a pillock forgetting what this would do to the shiny edge - I then had to take the varnish off the edge with thinners, which has taken a bit of silver with it ho hum...
I also wrapped the hilt in the trad Japanese manner, using an extra long bootlace I had knocking about. Not too bad looking I think. Then I needed a sheath. It's surprisingly difficult to find them for reasonable money, so I made my own. I started with two sparkling water bottles and shaped them around a couple of bits of wood by pouring boiling water onto them:
I then sewed a DPM cover for it and glued it in place:
The webbing straps are stitched to the cover and form a belt loop with velcro. It's designed to be carried on a shoulder strap, as above, or looped over the inside of a PLCE belt like this:
