  1. With Helmet World prices it's probably about the same price as genuine Ops-Core
  2. It's a TM, their range is easily the best out of all manufacturers
  3. Nah I know what you mean mate I think it is a bit dodgy / weird but I still do it. these are in the absence of a photo of actually at a skirmish
  4. Cheers man yeah I didn't want em to be massive but could do with being a bit bigger ha Thing is I've had the majority of this gear for what seems like ages; bought too much other sh*t I don't use, and trying to keep it simple now.
  5. Sort of contractor look Coyote Brown - 8Fields PC, Tactical Tailor 'FL' Removable Operator Pack, " Mini MAV, Hazard 4 Cap, 5.11 Double Duty TDU Belt Face: ESS ICE, Bulle Shemagh Helikon MCCUU MARPAT Trousers, unknown kneepads & softshell WE / NUPROL Holster 'EU Series' Glock Holster new Warrior gloves next I think to finish it off (for now)
  6. FPS is always gonna differ slightly for every gun, they aren't consistent to an exact velocity all the time. and yes Jedi you're correct
  7. Yeah you can pretty much anywhere afaik Check your airlines specific regulations When you look at the restricted items board they're allowed (even real ones) but must be packed separately in their own case / bag and declared
  8. Personally I don't have a great experience with drop leg holsters either, being only 5' 7" :/ so they're pretty shit without being modified There are IMI holsters which are pretty affordable (around £24 each off UK Tactical / eBay etc) You can buy a MOLLE adaptor separately for £8 which could go on your battle belt, and there are other accessories as well like the low ride belt loop so it hangs at upper thigh kind of height and I think it is designed to work better with plate carriers. Few other manufacturers are Fobus and Blackhawk which is probably one you saw that's more than the gun - holster + leg platform can set you back a hundred quid.
  9. The 7.4 LiPo would be perfect if there was the space for it in the gun you get. The G&G Combat Machines are very good beginner guns, around £130 and you won't need to buy a charger which saves money. However a 2200mAh battery is highly unlikely to fit in an M4 handguard, definitely won't if you buy one of the rear-wired models. Also basically any skirmishable rifle will be shooting 300FPS. Externally and internally they're well built, but being more of a budget rifle you're only getting a plastic body. It is a nylon fibre reinforced receiver, but still not going to feel very realistic unless it's metal. Can say G&Ps feel very good and should fulfil all requirements however these are £200 at least, unfortunately airsoft (especially in the UK) is an expensive hobby. There are also P&J M4s which have metal bodies although these are only available from Polish retailer TaiwanGun - so you'd need a UKARA defence before ordering from them. It would really help if you could narrow down your choice of guns down to a few real life models then maybe we can suggest specific manufacturers? Personally if you're only looking for something for target practice I wouldn't get an electric gun anyway but a spring shotgun which still has the potential for use at a skirmish, doesn't feel too unrealistic (for example like it would using a spring pistol) and you're not reliant on batteries or gas either. You can get a Double Eagle tri-shot from £40+ I believe. Check out Patrol Base as I know they sell some.
  10. No guns are good enough to be a DMR straight out of the box, they need a lot of upgrades, just like a bolt action sniper rifle. Some components are more obvious than others to replace (namely hop unit & bucking, barrel) but preferably you want to install a high torque motor, re-shim / AOE correction / lock to semi work etc Therefore internal parts in my knowledge aren't that much of a problem since you're actually gonna be getting rid of most of them for better ones anyway? For a base gun I'd recommend a P&J (A&K) from TaiwanGun, if you have UKARA, since it's a Polish retailer. Over here you could be looking at £250+ for a DMR (for example G&G SR25s are around that price) but it's nothing more than your standard AEG internally. The former on the other hand I believe are around £150 and full metal and if you are ordering from them might as well take advantage of cheap magazines and BBs and add some to your order.
  11. IMAX B6...like £17 off Hobby King, genuine model. About £9-£10 for the power supply.
  12. You can order guns from other countries, IF you have UKARA. That way it won't get confiscated by customs (you ask the retailer to write details on the box) Quite a few people including myself purchase from Europe but ordering from Asia is gonna mean you're subject to import duty and tax etc so it can end up costing a lot more than you think.
  13. Ferro Concepts Wallet, Black Hazard 4 Logo Cap (Military 1st) 15' Paracord, Orange (eBay) Source WLPS 3L Hydration Bladder Snugpak Sports Bottle & Pakbox Warrior Double Pistol Pouch LWA 'Major League' Patch WE Maintenance Kit NUPROL Anti-Fog AI Mag Was gonna order a SOCOM Gear Lancer mag but I thought no I'll use new address but put in billing address (haven't changed with bank yet) and can't change it Knowing my luck they'll sell out now and seems like the only place you can find em outside the US now
  14. Upgrades for sniper rifles are almost always a necessity and are always expensive. Many serious snipers will spend at least £400-600+ The JG will need more whereas the TM is arguably gonna be pretty decent out of the box, it will still need upgrades but necessarily as many. Without upgrades you're looking at performance about on par with a standard AEG in terms of accuracy and range except you're limited for obvious reasons especially mag capacity and ROF. You need to look at the quality more expensive parts as well so you know you are gonna get the durability, consistency and actual range / accuracy upgrades you need; a brand like Action Army won't be the best Btw the rifle (JG) is so cheap because it's from Poland (but only another £10 for shipping) I'm not sure any other comments mentioned it tbh sorry if I missed it
  15. Huh well now you mention it I seem to remember PB telling me the same thing. That's good to know thanks for doing that mate! In terms of the magazine the front looked to have caved in on one side a bit, as I'd expected. The dent stopped the BBs from feeding, which I noticed once it was disassembled. Took a lot of sanding down and even now two BBs kind of get stuck inside yet it works fine again and feeds a full mag
  16. I know you've already got em but I wouldn't bother with using the patches. Since they're staff it isn't going to fully replicate SO19 and again other people may potentially not like that you're using em. At the very least if you do keep em I would take them off whilst going to the skirmish If you get the look right then you can see what you are replicating without patches
  17. Tbh, too many things to name I think, being the gear whore that I am. Like Crye Precision / Arc'Teryx / FirstSpear / LBT kit etc With £50 I'd probably try to get some real steel AR parts like a B5 Systems keymod handguard or some of the newer Magpul stuff which isn't available over here and US retailers won't ship over.
  18. Standard rails are 20mm, not 25mm? What about using a Dovetail-Picatinny adapter? http://airsoftzone.co.uk/l85-l86-m1913-21mm-tactical-rail-ics?filter_name=L85 http://ant-supplies.co.uk/Pages/SA80SightRailAdapter.aspx
  19. http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/parts-c8/pistol-parts-c104/we-airsoft-europe-we-airsoft-europe-eu-g-series-mag-lip-p4652 http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/clothing-combat-gear-c4/holsters-leg-platforms-c92/we-airsoft-europe-we-airsoft-europe-nuprol-molle-adapter-p4650 Just discovered the above parts are available and wondered if existing IMI accessories (specifically the MOLLE adapter / clip) will work with the WE NUPROL 'G' / 'EU' series (Glock) paddle holsters? The genuine IMI one is only £8 yet the NUPROL one from LWA is £10 before postage! Secondly, I broke my Glock magazine the first day I bought it Dropped it on concrete floor whilst skirmishing Will post pictures later so the problem is more obvious, but the follower now only travels most of the way up the magazine then gets stuck. It also doesn't feed anymore because the follower and BBs get stuck near the top. So yeah seems really unlikely it would be possible to fix but if anyone could suggest anything it may help and I was thinking buying replacement feed lips could work... If not they're spares for the other new one I'll have to buy. Cheers in advance as well
  20. Yeah, totally doesn't make sense for them to do this based on their interpretation of legality in regards to gun laws (but, I bet it is why they're doing it) Same with the ITAR regulation thing in the US. Understandably they don't want to ship gun parts to countries where firearms ownership laws are more restrictive...but when it encompasses literally almost everything remotely gun-related, you realise it's stupid. Like, you can't even buy something like a foregrip or handguard due to it.
  21. I've never been charged import duty / tax etc by customs. Generally I think good advice is to try and keep orders under £50 to avoid them, although apparently you are supposed to be subject to tax over £10 or so. Retailers usually declare the contents as being worth a lot less than you actually paid to avoid charges.
  22. Pretty sure it's origin is Jordan, and I've seen a Chinese clone set on Airsoft Club.
  23. Yeah uh would've been a better idea to ask...ya know before buying em but no worries they're good guns Btw we usually just say WE, it's Americans who call em WE-Tech
  24. Rubbing alcohol, I think it's 91%? People have recommended silicone oil for a long time (must be the 100% stuff) but it's a lubricant rather than a cleaner so may not work as well as the alcohol
  25. So it's basically speedsoft. Accidentally came across videos of it on YT before, being played in the Phillipines, and there are a lot of cheaters and stupid stuff going on. Not to say the same would happen here though. Looks similar to Halo Mill in that's it's small and a purpose built arena style and you have the opportunity to be fast paced and use tactics like that. IMO it would be fun to play as a game mode but for me I'd rather just play ordinary airsoft and mix it up with elements of this. Judging by the popularity of Halo Mill (although of course I would say advertising has played a key factor in the business - seemingly they have attracted a lot more newer players as, amongst other things, the site is conveniently open on weekdays) it probably would take off. I think it would be popular with younger players too, again because of the availability when compared to traditional airsoft and people thinking they need a lot of gear to start off etc. Should mention I do prefer woodland skirmishes as opposed to indoor games at a place like Halo though.
