  1. New toy! Most of my selected bolt ons fitted, just waiting on the tape switch holder now.
  2. After a bit of farting about with the wrong one getting sent, I have a new gun! Yay! Specna Arms SA-A03 (more pics later no doubt).
  3. Nice! Love the AA12!
  4. Fair point but "tits on a boar" springs to mind...
  5. A bipod? On a mk18?
  6. Why is the stock hinge a different colour?
  7. The seals will most likely have dried out in the mag so they'll need replacing. Give the barrel a good clean and check it works on a low power gas to start with. Green gas in a TM that old will potentially wreck it so start off easy and see if anything else needs fixing first!
  8. Really? What's the problem?
  9. So having whinged like a stuck pig at The Mall for having no pyro last Sunday, I just found half a carrier bag full of MK5s. FML.

Funny that, they were in a Sainsburys bag! :D

  10. Check the barrel isn't twisted off centre.
  11. I'd just suggest getting one from an RC shop rather than eBay (unless it's the eBay store of a proper RC dealer if you see what I mean).
  12. If you just want a display piece, maybe a proper Boba Fett one would be a better bet?
  13. Yes, the driver has a plugin that works with adobe illustrator too so you can plot directly from that. The software it comes with converts from dxf so you can import ready made logos etc.
  14. I have an old C200-20 Craft Robo I used to use for bike helmets and stuff. Great little machine for the money, cuts well down to pretty small resolutions too!
  15. Craft Robo?
  16. Most airbrush stencils are made in the US so that doesn't surprise me at all. The other way would be to buy yourself a vinyl cutter and get decent at converting images to vector files (that's what I did).

  18. Ferro DO make nice gear. As for me? I have WAS gear (901 chest rig and back plate) and it's great. Probably heavier than things like the Slickster or the WAS CPC but it works for me.
  19. The one you linked is as per the video posted above, I have this one http://ferroconcepts.com/collections/slings/products/lw-mops-molle-one-point-sling-1 (which is longer and has a clip to attach to the weapon).
  20. That's designed to work with a MOLLE vest (like the Osprey). You put the T shaped end through the webbing over your shoulder and loop it over to the rifle. I use something similar myself.
  21. They'll be flapping around your ankles before you know it anyway...
  22. Ah but...yeah...well..... What I meant was, maybe he's chronoing using 0.25g instead of 0.2g. Or something.
  23. The positioning of the catch doesn't make a difference as it's the little wedge shaped bit that protrudes that is released by the feed tube on the bottom of the hop unit. It's possible that the two high cap mags aren't feeding because that catch doesn't stick out very far. The mag feeding or not shouldn't affect the FPS though so it sounds like you may have more than one issue (or the chrono isn't set for the weight of BB you're using).
  24. Fair point, plus this has already been done to death elsewhere!
  25. The simple fact is that EN 166 F is not high enough for airsoft use (it equates to 0.87 Joule impact energy). Regardless of what margins the manufacturer may or may not build in, physics is physics. Now granted the tests are for proof against penetration and under a higher impact MIGHT only crack but they might also shatter or just not stop the BB puncturing your eye. Is that a chance you're willing to take, because I'm certainly not. The other thing to bear in mind is that in terms of industrial safety use, most companies provide EN 166 F glasses for free because they're cheap and they're legally obliged to provide some sort of PPE. If they're letting you use them for grinding, cutting or drilling then they're at risk of being open to prosecution if you get hurt because those activities require EN 166 B or better to provide correct protection (ie goggles).
