  1. Any of the ones mentioned already. If you like the Magpul sling you have you could get an MS1 or a padded MS1 for a bit more comfort. Personally I'd go either Slingster or the adjustable TREX Arms one.
  2. By what metric? The education ranking puts them 11th in the world, their economy is the 13th largest and their quality of life is the highest in the world. Or do you just mean that they banned guns?
  3. Really quite impressed with it. I have a Vector Optics one as well but the Victoptics being an FFP scope puts it slightly ahead. As you say though, good, clear glass and crisp illumination.
  4. As someone that has moved from commuter belt (Surrey) to semi-rural (North Hampshire, just outside Basingstoke) I can confirm that despite my heritage I'd be entirely happy living in the middle of nowhere as long as I can get good broadband and Amazon deliveries!
  5. You and me both. The place is (mostly) an expensive shithole.
  6. Both my parents are from the East End of London. I'm more annoyed when people from other parts of London say they're Cockneys when they've never been further east than Fulham. Or when people from other parts of the country try and use the same phrases. As for where the slang started, it was just a way of keeping people from outside the Cockney bubble from understanding what they were saying, just like many other dialects and forms of slang. Innit bruv. Ya get me fam?
  7. Dog Tag is where someone tried to fuck up my mates M14 by standing on it so I'd say Driver Wood.
  8. It's literally just the latest version of this:
  9. Just to illustrate the point @TheFull9 made: Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 civilian shotgun: Benelli M4 "tactical" shotgun for LE/Mil use
  10. Shouldn't be a problem, package them well and declare them as toy parts (because that's what they are).
  11. And the prize for oldest necro post of the day goes to....
  12. from here: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad?step-by-step-nav=849f71d1-f290-4a8e-9458-add936efefc5 also this: BUT that assumes that the sender has charged you VAT at point of purchase and is registered to reverse charge HMRC. If they haven't then the you will still have to pay the VAT yourself. As far as HMRC is concerned it'll be down to you to either check that they have paid it or to pony up the difference. If you think you've overpaid then you'll need to fill in the appropriate form and throw yourself on the tender mercies of HMRC https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-repayment-or-remission-of-import-duties-c285-chief
  13. I've never let a full understanding of the point in question stop me from being pedantic 🤣
  14. Just a side note, Hypalon was discontinued by DuPont as a product in 2010 when they shut their only factory making it. Crye now use 100% neoprene for the straps on the JPC. Nice mod though, I have a similar thing for my AVS clone (I bought mine from Tacbelts UK though).
  15. No, you're the importer. It's your responsibility to ensure that the tax gets paid either by the seller IF they're registered with HMRC to pay it directly or yourself if they're not. It's the carriers responsibility to collect the tax on the behalf of HMRC but it's still your responsibility to pay it.
  16. If your parents are going to buy you a gun and gift it to you and they don't have a defence to allow them to buy a non two-tone gun then they will only be able to buy a two tone. The law around RIFs is a bit back to front in as much as it's illegal but you can have a defence against prosecution. It's not illegal to own a non two tone but it's illegal to be sell one to you if you don't have a valid defence.
  17. Couple of quick points, first off try routing the V-lite UNDER the bungees on your cover. The cheap ones have a habit of delaminating from the velcro backer when they get hot. Also, try angling the light over your left ear downwards. They're relatively short throw and quite directional so if you want to use it to see where you're going you'll have to look down a lot, a bit of downward angle will help you maintain your forward field of vision (although I would suggest the mandible may well obstruct your downward field of view anyway).
  18. Firstly - excellent choice of tunes. Secondly - it's as much about matching the impedance as it is amplification. The headphone output of a p[hone is quite low impedance to match up with normal headphones, COMTACs and the like will need an amplifier of some kind, not necessarily a PTT but you could do a lot worse than to talk to John at JCi Communications https://www.facebook.com/Jci-Comms-222286948363715/
  19. Good shout, I forgot about them!
  20. I have a Ferro one but it's long since been discontinued. There's these though: https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/blackhawk-chalker-strike-single-point-molle-sling-70dc03-811-p.asp https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/tactical-tailor-quick-release-modular-sling-61020-2027-p.asp Or of course, Viper do one as well.
  21. Fair enough, I have two legit Ferro slings - a Slingster that's on my SCAR and one of their old plate carrier single points that they don't make anymore. Linky for the knock off would be nice though...
