  1. 100% not important. High torque motors may not have as high an RPM but get there a lot quicker, which IS what you want for a semi-locked build for better trigger response (although short stroking and using a bigger spring does have a similar outcome). Possibly more important will be using a MOSFET that gives you precocking so you don't have all that tedious gearbox cycling before you let fly with the plastic deth!
  2. As above, standard gear ratios are usually 18:1. 16:1 will make your gun run faster (not loads more but even so). These are very good https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/gears/zci-gear-set-advanced-18-1 these are at the very least better than the ones that are in there right now https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/gears/shs-18-gearset Set of shims https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/zci-shim-set?search=shim (do your research on YouTube and TAKE. YOUR. TIME.) Get some decent lube and clean the gearbox out while you're at it. 3. One of these might be worth a look: https://www.wtfidea.com/bag-32-for-first-strike-26ci-3k-psi-hpa-tanks/ Saves the whole "dangly pouch" problem.
  4. There's not many on the market other than the Leapers UTG one which seems to be out of stock in most places and isn't cheap either.
  5. Personal fave by Studio 13 photography at Gunman Bravo
  6. Diet Irn-Bru is piss. Irn-Bru XTRA is where it's at!
  7. Apparently they use them as a "less than lethal" weapon. Despite having killed quite a few people with it.
  8. I very much doubt there's a multi buy discount. It's not like buying Jaffa cakes from Tesco! 6mm isn't going to make a difference, go for it. Also - it's not "lazy" it's "efficient use of resources".
  9. As far as I know yes, but personally I'd get it onto Luke at Negative Airsofts waiting list!
  10. I haven't shimmed the box....yet. The pinion on the rocket motor doesn't quite mesh right but much like you I'm not really looking forward to opening it up just yet. I'm running mine on a 7.4 but I am planning to go Warfet or Perun with it at some point. The TM style V7 box is just a very lazy running setup as is. There's definitely ways and means to make it snappy AF (see Negative Airsofts M14 video for proof).
  11. Absolutely. That and a Maple Leaf rubber and nub and a patient and methodical approach to stripping it down. I've put a Rocket 28TPA motor in ome of mine and that has improve the RoF quite nicely too.
  12. As mentioned above, Cyma M14. The SOCOM is more manoeuvrable (being shorter) but still has great range.
  13. They are very slightly different - the handgrip stippling is different and the outer barrel looks a slightly different shade of rose gold. Bearing in mind that EMG is just the licence holder they could very easily be different OEMs and therefore very differently performing guns. Looking closer into this it does seem like the one that the OP is looking for is a different OEM than the first one - the EMG codes for them are CM0100 and CM0200 for the newer Armorer Works one.
  14. I've had my Desert Locusts changed to mesh so I have a set of thermals I could be persuaded to part with.
  15. No Modicon there, plenty of S5 and a VIPA though.
  16. If you can get someone to print it for you: https://www.printables.com/model/104757-m4-charging-handle-extension-specna-clone
  17. You say that like it's a bad thing! But yeah, fantasist!
  18. I'll be following this with interest as I have a hankering for an M110!
  19. I think that's the thing though, the "proper" RS brands have better consistency of quality control, the repro gear is good enough and not so expensive you cry if it falls apart on you. I still have my rather old WAS 901 (the original single piece one, not the split front) and it's absolutely fine. That said, all the big bits of WAS stuff I've had I bought second hand so a lot less than retail price!
  20. Now how did I know you would say WAS as your worst? 🤣
  21. (Almost) anything is possible with sufficient determination. The easiest way to do this would be to get a new outer barrel and swap it over while you're changing the handguard.
  22. This is the kind of fun shit we get to deal with: Plastic grinder panel Gas temperature controls for JET fusion reactor Biogas generator solid feeder controls Fusion reactor shell temperature monitoring ...and a machine that makes bread rolls.
  23. 28 years of Industrial control systems has taught me that house bashers haven't got a fucking clue how to wire up anything!
  24. I stand corrected. Parcelforce does let you up the compensation value though https://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/sending/inclusive-compensation https://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/sending/enhanced-compensation
  25. Businesses have contracts with carriers like UPS, DPD etc which will carry RIFs but as a private individual then it's pretty much PF48 or cross your fingers and pray.
