  1. Black or tan? Bear in mind that if it's been used, chances are that the colour it was when it left the factory isn't the colour it is now. You might be better off finding an automotive paint matching service and have the paint made or just respray it whatever colour you desire from scratch.
  2. Gotcha, you could absolutely lose the suppressor and use a barrel extension as you suggest but if you're dead set on having the look of the ARP9 then yeah, shorten the barrel. You may need to bump up the spring but I'd try swapping the barrel out first and see if it actually makes for much of a power loss.
  3. OK, I'd ask myself why the last owner felt the need to extend the barrel. Have you actually run it in a game as is?
  4. What's your budget? Most Revision or ESS goggles take their Rx inserts (proprietary to each manufacturer). I think Bolle do too.
  5. To a point. Once you get below 200mm it can start having an effect. To be fair, at CQB distances it's less of a problem but for example my MP5K is far less accurate than my MP5A3 both have the same hop rubber and similar quality of barrel. Personally, if your looking to modify the sa-e07 you have in your profile description I'd just swap out the handguard for something shorter and ditch the extra length of the amplifier etc. 200mm is plenty short for CQB.
  6. At 200mm it's already a good length for CQB. Going that short you're more likely to notice the complete lack of accuracy than a drop in FPS!
  7. My first question would be why are you running an SP150 spring in an MP5?
  8. Those goggles are designed to fit OVER your existing glasses, they don't appear to be able to take a prescription insert because of that.
  9. Should work fine as long as you have a Hi Capa frame with a "standard" 1911 type profile.

  11. According to my father I have "Butchers hands". Not sure if he meant Pat Butcher or the guy with the meat cleaver but there you go!
  12. I'd go for snug. There's quite a lot of give in the material part across the back. Personally I find nothing worse than the tips of the fingers on my gloves folding over. I have big hands but short fingers.
  13. I find them all comfortable as they fit my hand shape well, Fast Fits have a thinner palm than Originals or M-Pacts (as evidenced by the hole in the palm of mine from a smoke grenade). Velcro on the Originals etc can be a pain in the dick but it's velcro and they all get buggered up sooner or later. For most frequent use I run a set of Originals, for CQB stuff I have a pair of M-Pact 3 ones with the rubber knuckles. None of them are all that expensive so get both if you can. I also have a pair of the Original Insulated ones for winter use that usually live in my coat pocket for dog walking, a pair of the fast fit waterproof ones that seem to have used a different pattern than all my others because the fingers are definitely longer and a pair of the Windproof ones which are toasty as fuck but about as dextrous as wearing cardboard gauntlets. My wife also has a pair of the Mechanix ladies gardening gloves!
  14. That would be good enough for me to use a steel one.
  15. Same same. If it has electronics in then it'll have a standby drain that can knacker a battery.
  16. Ah but the boots theory of socioeconomic unfairness kicks in at some point, surely?
  17. I have a Gen 1 goretex parka. It's seen some use (surplus issued kit) but it's still pretty decent. By all accounts the Gen 1 was preferred over the Gen 2.
  18. One end should be knurled, the holes in the receiver are different sizes so the knurled end sits in the slightly larger hole. If the hole has rounded out or if the knurling has worn off (or was just shit in the first place) you can get replacement ones that have deeper knurling to take up the slack. Guarder do them I think.

  21. Original Magnums (back when they were still branded by Hi-Tec) were great and cheap. Now they're worse than the cheap copies and more expensive than they have any right to be. I tried Lowa Zephyrs but while they're incredibly light they don't seem to be available in their wide last fitting so they were just too narrow for me. Merrell work for my feet so I have a pair of MOAB III for walking the dog and MOAB Tactical 8" for the pews. Light, Goretex lined, grippy (unless it's proper boggy). Not super cheap but certainly better than Magnums. Thing is, you can get all the opinions you like from all over but unless they fit YOU, then no boot is going to be great. Get to an outdoor shop and try some on.
