  1. I use plastic lensed glasses/goggles because I struggle using mesh in the dark corridors of the Malls. Tried it, hated it, end of. This weekend I used a pair of the new Bolle Cobra full seal safety glasses with their new Platinum anto fog coating and I must say it worked exceptionally well. As previously mentioned I sweat like Jimmy Saville in a childrens ward so fogging IS an issue. Normal people would fine them utterly fog free. Having read Ian's very techy but informative post I thought to myself "I'll go check the numbers on the Bolle stuff, see if I can prove a point". So let's do the math(s): Let's say you have a gun set right on the site limit for the Mall. 340FPS on a 0.2g BB. This gives you an energy of 1.07 joules Bolle safety glasses have a maximum impact rating of "F" according to the EN standard of marking which is tested with a 0.86g steel ball at 45m/s. 45m/s is 147.64FPS which then gives you an energy of 0.86 joules. So as you can see the glasses are insufficiently rated for even a fairly conservative site limit. 0.2 of a joule may not seem like much but if you were unlucky enough to be shot point blank in the face (which DOES happen in CQB) then your eye protection may fail. Bolle GOGGLES on the other hand are rated "B" which is tested with a 0.86g steel ball at 120m/s (393.7 FPS) with an energy of 6.16 joules. The moral of this particular tale then is wear goggles, not glasses (from Bolle at least) and make sure you WEAR THEM PROPERLY. You can have the best eye pro in the world but if your face protection doesn't let them fit properly you may as well not bother.
  2. Try a TRMR, no pins to lose, no resetting tool either.
  3. We only use the remote dets, but the malls have only recently added xplode to the list of pyrotechnics they allow. Seeing how seriously they take safety I'm surprised there's so much bad experience of them.
  4. I see no reason why you shouldn't!
  5. Interesting to hear, my buddy who seems to go into battle with little more than a Glock and metric fuckton of explosives uses their remote dets but I've not tried the handheld ones. Where did you get yours from?
  6. Unless you're desparate to get one NOW I'd say get a Gemtech Madbull HALO suppressor from RSOV http://rsov.com/category.php?cateId=0&keyword=halo+silencer&submit=Search&langId=1&currencyId=4&manufacturerId=10&sortBy=code&sortOrder=DESC They only have tan ones in stock at the minute.
  7. Really? I thought the whole point of the MP5SD was that it has an integral suppressor that isn't actually designed to come off? A full length M4A1 is plenty short enough to do CQB with anyway. 800mm isn't a big deal.
  8. P90. Yeah, that's right, I said it!
  9. This. Come on you lot, if the site won't let him do this I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have bothered buying the fire crackers in the first place. Give the lad a break, eh?
  10. Safariland style drop leg holster and an ASAP style sling plate from Taiwangun, some WE Green gas and a pair of Bolle Cobra Platinum coated goggles from Amazon. Hopefully it'll all get here in time for the weekend!
  11. If the fuse is good, I would suggest that something else broke when the fuse blew...
  12. I used Dytac Invaders in my TM M4 and they worked well. Then I bastardised the TM M4 so it's not mostly Dytac anyway and guess what - they still work really well! I paid about £40 for a box of 5 if I remember correctly.
  13. Maybe nobody else has taken that specific part to bits before? Try taking a look on YouTube for the same stripdown. Failing that, get in touch with Milspec Solutions http://www.milspecsolutions.co.uk/
  14. Sounds like you've lost way more than your desired amount of FPS. Check your airseal is good.
  15. Sounds like dodgy wiring at the rear somewhere. My money would be on either a bad connection in the battery connector or it's damaged as the wiring goes into the body. Get it sorted soon if you're running a LiPo - shorting out a LiPo can have pretty bad results!
  16. Still want to do a full on Ghost Recon load out. Probably the GRAW2 one or maybe the Future Soldier Kozak one but they fall more in the cosplay than airsoft arena for me!
  17. I actually use a range of weights depending on the gun. The M249 for example is using up my stock of 0.2 Blasters which I bought because my TM M4 was originally so weak! The SCAR usually gets a Hi-Cap full of Blaster Tracer for CQB work so I can see where I'm shooting
  18. Blasters, preferably Blaster Devils for me. I have heard good things about the G&Gs though.
  19. This is EXACTLY how I felt when I started trying to buy kit! The gucci stuff is in stock but expensive, nothing popular stays on the shelf for long and as you say retailers have massive website with no stock. It's frustrating but I've found the finding the various stores on Facebook is a good way to keep up to date with deliveries and new stock.
  20. No new kit for me for a while then. Just bought a new (to me at least) car!

You have to remember, that unlike a modern car, morris mini's have none of the excessive bulkhead up front, so there is plenty of room for anyone. Just gave my mate a ring, he measured up his one for me and has told me that you'd need to be 8'1" to be too tall for it.

Fair enough, will probably end up looking for one of those this time next year. Cheers Kiwi

  21. You don't HAVE to but they work better if you do.
  22. Sort of - in the game they're .45ACP AMT Hardballers, in the film they're referred to as Silverballers but are actually Para Ordnance P18.9 (hi cap 9mm 1911 clone)
