  1. Have you tried the same battery in the top position by removing the Receiver Cover ?
  2. Have you tried a 7.4V Lipo stick battery in the stock ?
  3. If you have Facebook look up Red1 Airsoft for the school ( and Okto Eight Milsim )
  4. You have the School (CQB) not far. We also run a milsim series at Kings Langley twice a year.
  5. Welcome. Where are you playing?
  6. No it was just the right size and shape for the project. Theyre fine for arcing into the sky maybe but would be quite dangerous for close up direct fire.
  7. The organisers have a lot of experience and know a lots of tricks of the trade to make it realistic and immersive. We don't do the hardcore 24 hour all nighter Imodium and shitting in cling film games but our scenarios are fun and get the adrenalin pumping. Players never quite know whats coming next. Probably 50% milsim; 50% filmsim. At the moment, we have players building all sorts for the next game, to bolster their force capabilities.
  8. No, it would be lethal if it fired something like those missiles in a straight line. It is mostly a prop but uses a laser to "paint" vehicles and a laser hit allows the directing staff to detonate thermobarics and smoke on the vehicle. The aiming optic is real. Last game, we did this with an RPG and the vehicle exploded, slewed to a halt and emitted dense black smoke, with the occupants hanging out. It was so realistic, troops on the same side started dragging the occupants out on to the ground to get them away from the "burning' vehicle.
  9. My item finally arrived. Took 2 weeks from point of order. They keep sending me e-mails in Polish which I think are feedback enquiries.
  10. We've finished the new rocket launcher for the next Okto Eight Milsim. Not Airsoft, although the game is.
  11. This is Cleveland in the USA, The real question is how did a 12 year old get his hands on an Airsoft pistol ? Somebody has either given it to him or left it lying around or can 12 year olds buy them in the US ? Airsoft guns don't fire real bullets but can get you killed just as readily as the real things. They should be respected like a real firearm by those that legally buy them and kept locked away around minors IMHO
  12. Its been a rainy Sunday so no airsofting for moi. Have also managed to work out how to get these customs maps on to an Andoid phone. Android is even easier than iOS - you just copy and paste the map file into the BattleTac map folder on the phone using a USB lead between phone and laptop.
  13. Yes milsim is tactical and you fight in a force with others, so you have a specific objective and success is a result of working together. Loadouts aren't necessarily more realistic but the teams do have matching loadouts regarding camo etc so you don't need to wear coloured armbands
  14. Have managed to produce a revised map with more advanced information and e-mailed it to players, Quite easy to do once you've done it once. Could be done for any Airsoft site. You can either upload it to the BattleTac server for any body to use (i.e. skirmish) or you can email different content versions to specific people for a milsim.
  15. Im in Epping and play either at AWA in Sawbridgeworth or at the Okto Eight Milsim which is bi-annual and held near Watford. Welcome to the forum.
  16. Its not the end of the world. The TM is a nice gun. Just thought Id make the point for those that aren't aware about Japanese airsoft guns.
  17. Experimenting with BattleTac, I've managed to create a tactical overlay which can be sent to anybody on a specific force that is authorised to have access to the intel, so that they can display it on their SmartPhone which uses the BattleTac app. I can draw in features like roads, buildings etc as a default fixture to bring the Google Earth imagery (and the site) to life and then dynamic positions of friendly troops (in blue) and enemy troops (in red) will be transmitted in real time and displayed over the secure data net to all allies.
  18. Ive got the TM and its a lovely pistol. However, its very light compared to the other metal pistols I have and not therefore everybody's cup of tea.
  19. MPF now full. Only the MDF spaces left.
  20. Not exactly, In my experience, the site has to verify and sign off the paperwork to say you are who you claim to be and then the retailer puts you on. The site normally has a retailer they work with. It might be worth asking Cerberus as all sites vary !
  21. different sites do it differently. Some charge an admin fee and some don't, There is no standard.
  22. All deposits up to date and confirmed via Paypal. Okto admin tell me there are two weekend spaces on the MDF government force and one weekend space on the MPF rebel force. Okto are also processing UKARA registrations now so players who attend both MILSIM games in a year can keep their UKARA updated even if they don't skirmish elsewhere.
  23. Ive just got the tracking details. Effectively lost a week because they didn't find my email giving them my UKARA number and couldn't be bothered to tell me they needed it before they would ship. The order just sat at 'Processing" status. They also sat on my Paypal money for 3-4 days before even processing the order. Sloppy slow admin.
