I'll bet money that you'll write half the code in a different language.

  4. Battlefront time!

  5. I've played there a few times. It's a bit more difficult for me because I keep my gear down south, but I plan on bringing it up when I move out of halls next year. So I should be playing more from September onwards
  6. Welcome along, and well done on the No. Fellow Scotsman here- currently in Aberdeen for uni.
  7. So, I heard that you like Star Wars...

  8. I have owned the CYMA one and it never let me down in the two years that I used it. I didn't do much fiddling with the internals- something that, in hindsight, I would recommend doing as the "grease" that CYMA use in the gearbox is absolutely shocking- and it worked perfectly fine. Upgrade wise, you can do a lot internally but the external upgradablity is pretty poor. In addition, the battery space can only accommodate at MAXIMUM a 9.6v NiMH stick battery (and it is a really tight fit). It's a great stock gun that you can do a lot to make better on the inside. That said, I've used a high cycle. And, if you have the cash, you are going to want one of those. They are astonishingly good out of the box! Wouldn't recommend upgrading it, mainly because they are perfect as is!
  9. Just to gauge interest, are any of you interested in a video review series on different BB brands?

Yeah. We were planning on .20s because so many people use them, and every brand that we want to test make .20s and not all do .25s

Thought most do .25's, not many do .28's - weird weight, and not all do .30's & above

Really thought a higher percentage of bb makes have the .25gms option than maybe other heavier weights.

If you just covered a couple of brands doing .25's as well as their .20's then people could see if there was any difference/advantage to trying another weight

Good to see good, bad & ugly 0.20's but maybe another time do a brief demo on .20 vs .25's perhaps...

  11. While playing CQB on Sunday, one of my friends ran out of ammo completely, so just ran at the enemy with a knife. He got 4 kills before he was shot. Same game setup (large warehouse, straight up TDM), I ended up being last man standing with half a standard sized G17 mag left. Took out about 10 of the enemy team before time was called. The marshal who was running the game had no idea that I was still alive- and thought that the other team were just fighting each other unknowingly! felt good, man!
  12. The Ares <insert name of any gun by Ares> is really bad. Looks great externally, but the internals are trash
  13. Nice! Sites that I can recommend include: Section 8, The Fort, The Fortress (If you want to experience really fast-paced CQB) and Fife Wargames (right out on the east coast, so might be a bit far for your average weekend).
  14. Feed lip on my G17 extended mag broke today. Should be a quick fix.

  15. For your price range, Tokyo Marui are definitely the best you can get WE is also good, although a bit cheaper. I use their G17, and it hasn't let me down yet.
  16. I play a lot over in Fife. Plan on making my way over to Section 8 and The Depot for a few games later this year.
  17. I've just contacted StitchMeUp on FB to get this made. Not related to DERP, this is more of my "airsofting with course-mates" patch. The lot of us have started playing at Bunker 31 recently, so we are all getting patches of a similar nature made (mine being Moonman Dan). Basically: big image related to the name and the name on a patch. I quite like this design...
  18. Bit of a strange one, but this is the thread for photos of your best/ favourite patches, as well as any designs that you are looking at getting made. Below are a few photos of my Fire Team DERP team patches
  19. ordered my little brother a WE PX4, 2 mags and a holster for his birthday. Lucky SOAB...
  20. One of my mates runs a pair and says that they are absolutely stunning!
  21. Quickly edited photo of my G&G UMG with the new 551 replica on it. Best airsoft investment that I have made to date!
  22. What was that bright thing in the sky today? Got a nice tan while skirmishing!
