So let me get this right. You would but from them but not send it back if it broke. I cant see how that's a good deal🤔

Seems i worded what badly. What I meant was: I buy from TG, but only if i'm confident that it's what I need and cannot find elsewhere in the UK. Returning internationally is just a pain in the arse in general.
-
When I returned to TG for the one time (arcturus AK), I bought a UPS label online and arranged a pickup. It was like £30... I've made myself a rule to never buy from taiwangun unless i'm adamant I will not return it if it goes wrong. So ye, i only use it for parts and some pistols.

By this last point, it makes no sense to me to tune the pinion/bevel meshing first.
What if you fuck up and shim the bevel so high that you in turn need to shim the spur high too, consequently the sector will sit WAY too high and grab the tappet/miss the COL/interfere with something like an optical mosfet?
Why would you "use" the finest and widest range of adjustment (motor height) from the start?
Am I missing something?
Because it's not that wide range. Even though you move the bevel and motor up and down, they have only one optimal position where they mesh the best, and most people want to achieve that before anything else because it's the most important drive. No other gear mesh has more impact than the bevel and motor. So it makes sense to get the most important one first because everything else is easy after that. Obviously, it may not work all the time, and that's why you'd adjust it to compromise. But in general, pinion to bevel meshing is the critical one you want to get right for efficiency and longevity.

Hello, I would like to know the status of your project?
I'm a big AK user, my team is russophile. and I'm looking for a platform like yours but to integrate a V3 gearbox with a homemade hpa system very very quiet less than 50dB; contact me privately at [email protected]
ThanksI should probs have updated...
It's going really well atm. Just waiting for a few others to have a go and write down their final thoughts before I move onto the next phase.
It currently looks like this atm after some developing:
Still need to work out:
- grip (fits into v3 gearbox now, just need to work out a good shape)
- stock (old stock in the photo doesn't work well with new body design, still working that out)
- top rail (idk where to place atm)
- selector (old AK style isn't going to cut it, need new idea)
And no, those are not mlok sized rectangles ahahah. I'd rather not tread that territory...
Bombarded with uni work atm, so won't be as fast developing. Again, pm me for a discord link. I'm way more active on discord lately.

You could go cz sp01 or shadow 2. Asg make mounts for them.

It's just young competitive people playing airsoft in the most competitive way... And no, there isn't a link to cheating; there are just as many salty adults as there are children. Young people aren't that good at teamwork, so my take is that they equip themselves to be as efficient as possible to make up for that.

Personally, I hate white lithium grease. Silicone is ok. But, I use this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Synthetic-Grease-Syncolon-Purpose-Lubricant/dp/B000XBH9HI Or "syncolube" if you've heard that name before. It was recommended for 3d printer but I've found it works great for airsoft too.

I’m just flabbergasted it has that sort of range. I mean some AEGs can’t shoot that far!
Stick in a longer barrel with a tight bore which goes to the end of the suppressor and you have a decent bit of kit there i hazard to guess.
Most aegs can shoot 60-70m with a maple leaf hop on 350 fps, costing like... £8?

Damn, looks kinda cool. Made by wingun so should be really nice as they have good track records for revolvers. If it used the tm system with an internal magazine of 24rnds or something, I'd consider getting one.

I use one of these 5.11 belts for absolutely everything these days. Even for casual outings because it's just that nice and secure.

Depends. For classy expensive guns like noveske, black all the way.
Tacticool stuff like the srs sniper rifle and scar h, tan all the way.

Because 0.20g bbs have been the standard for the longest time. They are uber cheap to buy and is seen as the lowest weight possible that is accepted for skirmishing. Idk who rolled it out but before that, 0.12gs were the go to lmao. Back when I started, people were still using 0.12gs. BULLDOG 0.12G THE BEST IN TOWN ONLY FOR 5 SMACKEROONIS WITH A SPECIAL FEATURE WHERE THE BB SHATTERS UPON FIRING WHICH PROVIDES AN INSANE BUCKSHOT EFFECT! BUY NOW!!!!

Thanks everyone. Developing this has been pretty crazy over the months. It's has gone through so many changes since I started it. This is what it used to look like back in april:
I even tried to make it look like a cz style pistol last month (it didn't work out)...
Eventually went back to simple, primitive edges like it is currently. Though, I expect to spice up the aesthetics a bit later on.
Currently at 3/5 testers.

Looks good 👍
But to remain credible you've got to get rid of the Novritsch patch 😄
ahaha a friend gave it to me on the day so I thought i'd just wear it for the memes alongside my taiwangun patches

Ok. So. In short, I've been developing something since April and I believe it's nearly at the stage where I can roll out public tests.
I call this thing the MOSQUITO:
So what is it? It is a body kit designed to turn AK AEG internals (V3 gearbox, hop up, selector parts, and grip) into one of the smallest, lightest, and most practical AEGs to date.
It was originally modeled on the PP19 KEDR. However, adapting for airsoft made it took quite a spin, so it has now become its own thing. It combines the compactness of a V3 gearbox with regular MP5 magazines which are widely available. With a length of 563mm and a weight of 1.4kg fully set up (prototype, final may vary), it is even shorter, lighter, and compact than an ASG Scorpion EVO.
Just recently finished making a working prototype of a "MP5K style" folding stock which, when folded, reduces the length down to approx 340mm:
I plan on rolling these out commercially but I will need to do a few alpha/beta test runs before I can confidently do that. And that is why I am asking for potential testers. I need people with an AEG AK (specifically AK) to test this product out and give in depth feedback.
I will spit out some hardware requirements:
- A V3 gearbox of an AK variant (Front wired is ideal. A short rear wired one will not work as it needs to stretch out the front. See above photos for guide)
- AK selector parts
- AK hop up unit
- An inner barrel of maximum length 130mm
- No external mosfet. Almost nothing will fit under the top cover. You may be able to lengthen the wire and mosfet outside the gun to fit inside a peq box but no guarantees. A gate picoAAB may fit inside but also no guarantees. In-gearbox mosfets are ideal like ones made by titan, perun, or jefftron.
- MP5 mags if you intend to game with it. I will only be supplying one.
As you can see, for such a small gun, there will be quite a lot of restrictions. However, I can say that it worked wonderfully during a game day on the 9th.
Here is a test I did turning a skirmish on the 9th:
What I need to do now is to perfect the selector switch, make a small peq battery box for it, and possibly a rail for optics.
I should lastly say that there will be a cost if you want to participate. It will be £70 which covers the cost of stainless steel parts that are used to hold it together, as well as a roll of filament for my use. So for less than a WE GBB pistol, you get an entire kit. The final price will likely be a lot higher (>150).
I will be conducting this test in a discord server. So if you are interested, send me a PM with your discord tag and I will send you an invite to it. I should also mention that there will be only 5 testers during this first test. I need to test the waters to see what I can handle. There will be future runs.
Thanks for reading.

3d Printed Holsters / Gash?
in General Help
Posted
With good quality material, yes. Though most 3d printed airsoft stuff i've seen by ebay sellers and similar use cheapo shitto.
