In that case I would recommend Shadow 2 instead - adjustable competition trigger + rail for flashlight (also can mount red dot with some 3rd party mounting plate). From budget side ASG P-09 is absolute beast out of the box but there are literal 0 upgrades available on the market. Same with all CZ pistols really
Problem with shadow 2 is that it is much heavier, both frame and slide. My CZ75 is 950g with slide being only 90g, while the shadow 2 (when I had it) is 1229g with the slide being 152g. Huge difference in performance and handling.

After so many pistols, I can personally vouch for the KJW CZ75 on CO2. Literally the best out of box CO2 pistol for all weather. Couple with a single action trigger and a lightweight bbu that I made for it, it's a bloody monster.

I wouldn't recommend the cheapo atlas bipods. Despite how they look, they are still very heavy and have garbage construction. I insta regretted my £25 ebay one.

Battery is in the PEQ? Was there any particular reason for not running a stick battery on top?
The print quality looks decent enough, what kind of options are there in the 3D printing world to get better quality? I've seen some of the resin 3D printers and the quality is very good but heard the plastic isn't as strong?
@Samurai I think I would prefer a version without the stock, maybe worth doing version with and version without.
Yes, battery is in peq. Long story short, it was the best position to put it in. There is no space inside the gun whatsoever for a reasonably sized battery.
I also have plans to achieve better surface finish, and that is to use a textured sheet by prusa. I am currently reiterating some parts of the kit to be printed in two halves so that a plastic texture akin to magpul stuff can be achieved.
Resin is better for surface quality, yes. However, the process is extremely long, tedious, and potentially toxic that I can't really justify using them in-house currently. There are strong resins out there but nothing that I have seen that can withstand hammer blows like with the currently material I am using (polymax pla).

The stock is actually very strong despite how it looks ahaha. It's mostly dense and I use a strong material called Polymax PLA which doesn't shatter at all.

You ought to consider including @Armourpiercing (Negative Airsoft), he'll test this and give honest feedback brilliantly
I will try contact him. Though I'm not sure if he uses, or is willing to use discord. Might work around it.

Why hello there. Some of you may have known that I’ve been developing this thing for the past year. It has gone through one test phase, and now it is time for the second: the beta test of the MOSQUITO kit.
So, what is this thing you may be wondering? Well, (doing a ctrl+c and ctrl+v of myself….):
“Inspired by the PP-91 KEDR, the MOSQUITO is an ultra compact, lightweight, and modular kit for an AK AEG. A fully assembled kit weighs only around 1.4kg, and has a max length of 577mm with stock unfolded (341mm folded). Disassembly is made easy via stainless steel pins, and hop up can be adjusted on the fly. Want to experience a true small form factor with a big punch? This could be the thing for you.”
Essentially, it is a 3D printed kit that takes parts from a traditional AK AEG and turns into a super lightweight, compact, and easy to use weapon. Actually, to be more accurate, it only takes the gearbox, hop unit, and barrel. You don’t even need any of the fiddly external parts on the gearbox because I have completely redesigned them. It also takes regular mp5 magazines which are plentiful.
So, what I need now are testers who will provide good feedback on the kit as it is right now. I have plans to improve it even further before putting it up commercially, but I will need user feedback first to determine viability.
I will list some requirements here:
- £60 to cover material, packaging, and delivery costs. This is to improve the quality of the test. Think of it as buying a cheapo GBB pistol from JBBG on an impulse
- You will be required to write a detailed report. Don’t worry as I have templates of that. It will be in the form of google docs and will only be shared between you and me.
- You will have to source your own AK internals if you don’t own any. I have made a huge list of these for your convenience in the beta test document. Don’t worry about screws and fittings, I will supply them all.
This is mainly an AEG platform. However, if you are a V3 HPA user, that is definitely welcome too.
You will also need a discord account as this test will be held over at a discord server where the rest of the beta test information is, alongside full documentation of the entire process since last year.
There will only be a maximum of 15 testers because I don’t think I can manage much more on my own. If you want to be involved, message me and I will send you a link to the discord server. It is on a first come, first served basis.
Thanks for reading and here’s a fun video:

I live in Sweden - is there anything that can't potentially get me aressted?
Well, got a printer at work.. and some really good product designers.. even thou they probably sick of me pestering them by now lmao. Not sure how well a 3d printed gearbox would work/hold up thou?Na, from some cheapo lpeg from justbbguns or something. 3D printed one would probs be worse.

AEP gearbox? Gearboxes are bloody heavy so you'd prolly need a plastic one tbh. The best option is probably getting someone to design in CAD and 3D printing a custom frame and feeding system to the plane (hint hint, maybe pay me? :))))))))
Then again, that kind of thing might get you potentially arrested AHAHA

I will say that with the shorter strikers like the as02 and 03 the cylinder volume is not an issue but the cylinder does need replacing.
AS03 cylinder doesn't need to be replaced as it's already a one piece. But, it has a teardrop cut in it to reduce fps, so you have to patch it up with tape. After that, it can reach 2.3J no problem. The real issue is the bolt pull as it's really tough because it's short. I compared it to my friend's ssg24 and the difference in bolt pull strength require is insane.
I'd say the cheapest sniper rifle setup that will perform is the AS03 knee capper with the action army chamber, longer barrel, and new hop rubber. I had it, and it worked quite well but the bolt pull wasn't fun for playing aggressively. If you mostly play staying still, it should be fine. I'd recommend SRS over it though.

hmmmmm semi auto and 10 per shot. I can see that getting banned. I actually think what will get it banned is the use of m4 mags. If was pump action and 10 per shot, it would appeal more and get less... flak
Design is extraordinarily ugly though.

The cyma version is more popular and probably has more information about it

Most g&p stuff is pretty nice. I've had a madbull noveske gen 3 receiver for 4 years now and it's still in excellent shape after so many skirmishes. Also have the madbull noveske rail for 8 years now and barely has any marks somehow.
-
Mostly stock barrel you get on pistols are pretty terrible quality. I've had so many we glock barrels break on me. I bought a steel gunsmodify one and that was the end of the breaks.

There are two which are relatively easy to get to......Enemy Down (a bus will drop you right at its gate on the a71 - just past Herriot Watt uni)
Battle Zone which is near south queensferry, closer to kirkliston ( well served for buses)
ye been looking at enemy down, looks like nice terrain

rip my local site, gonna have to search for another that doesn't require a car
-
An sr2 actually exists and it's made by NPO. Was tempted to buy one in the past but it was only in full auto...
tbh, not really much point in using an aep gearbox since the pistols with them are pretty much as compact as things get, albiet with low power.

@#blackadder just wow!
Yes JG guns of old where awesome bang for buck.
Most of the plastics are not polymer.
That said on a budget the older G&G advance series is pretty good.
https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/g-and-g-armament-ar36-assault-rifle
If it’s going to actually be your gun, and a trusty backup that performs superbly the TM G36c Recoil is stonking, rock solid, nice controls and usual TM performance.
All plastics are polymers ahah, it's just typical marketing where they go "UBER REINFORCED POLYMER" that makes you think it's a specific material.
-
Some wild cards you could look at are the KWA 2GX G36c and the SRC gen 3 G36c if they are still around. Not sure about their compatibilities but those two were pretty popular choices back in the days, especially the src.

In my vast testing, a we g18c with a co2 can last 5 full mags, not in the cold though.
Similarly, an emg sai blu with g18c internals and a WE g35 slide netted 133 shots (close to 5 mags):
Idk why but the we g18c system is pretty efficient, even though there are more parts and is heavier than the g17 system. Weird stuff.
Most co2 pistols can get 100+ shots on a single cartridge (kjw 1911, kjw cz pistols, even kwc pistols)
TM HK45 can get 100+ shots in a max gas charge.
WE CT25 is also surprisingly very efficient (50+ shots iirc)

The OP, @AK47frizzle is actually in the trials process with his own design of Airsoft gun, he'd probably be the best person for advice, assuming your design isn't too much like his, then he might rightly tell you to feck off 🤣
Ye i'm mostly catching up with people to get their final reviews of the first test. The model the 2nd test is almost done, just need to refine the selector and allow compatibility with mp5 hi caps:
https://gyazo.com/8b80fc4a99738cec16102413aa3fdb7f
On the side, i'm working on a modern tec 9 to fit on an m4 (was originally an actual tec9 upper for an m4 as a commissioned piece but i'm decking it out more):
-
It could be an SRC like duck said. My initial guess was the KWA 2GX M4 but the two tone of the stock is different. Could also be a G&G cm16 carbine but we won't know unless there's a picture of the other side. If there's no brand marking on the other side either, then... open it up I guess and check what the gearbox says.

"I have no knowledge or understanding of what i'm doing but I want this custom design that nobody knows of or has done before to be the cheapest of the cheapest, cheapest, cheap, cheapest, of the cheapest."
Your best option imo is to get someone to 3D model that clamshell uzi and design it in a way to fit an aeg gearbox inside. And none of that is going to be cheap. Why not just make the clamshell and do some special effects? What is even the point of it firing BBs? You'll just make it look like some 2008 youtube nerf war.
