    If you can afford it,get a PDi W hold from Xfire. It's a seriously under rated bucking,I have one in mine and performance is fantastic,25x20mm groupings at 30m! You can get two,and it will cost around 2000JPY,with express shipping. No point in getting one as you are only saving 2£. Mine would have arrived quickly if An Post classified it as express and not regular ground but that's another story. And get the Dangerwerx Type B arm,I heard it's a seriously magical combo with the W hold.

    Don't have the right racket tape color but I could try bodge it up by soaking it in alcohol. Or leaving it in the sun. I like the idea but realized it's sort of redundant as the gloves I use are grippy as Fcuk! Speaking of DIY,I really need to get to work on that SV98 Stock project I drafted ages ago-Need to re-do the drawings though as the paper has faded and got all crumply. Kind of really want it to make my loadout more authentic(And have a bloody wood stock! +1337 fancy points) But I really like the VSR's light weight stock,and having the SV98 one cast out ABS is too expensive for me.

    My DIY cheekrest,a pat58 belt around the stock,and my method of preventing losing the hop setting,tape around the adjuster! I have even more DIY mods internally I'm going to make myself a optic cover out of acrylic or something soon,My scope got shot too many times & I want to keep it since Strike scopes are no longer made in Taiwan. Also planning to get some Tennis racket tape the same color as the Russian Tourniquet and wrap it around the stock area where I grip since the rubberized finish came off.

    The Maruzen CA870 is actually a really effective gun. Maruzen blessed the gun with the Essences of Slaan'esh,lord of chaos,Nurgal,lord of death and suffering and Khorne,God of blood,thus making it usable in the field! I actually considered getting one as a side arm,but it's too expensive and spare parts,while being possible to find thanks to Pulse Japan,are expensive and still hard to find.

    Dat Scope rise! Someone should make a custom High rise PSO or something,I've seen people do this before to get rid of the low aiming position on the SVD.

    You don't need to do a new loadout,AFIAK the Belorussian spetsnaz still use KLMK and modern SPLAV stuff. Sort of the look I'm going for. But My rig is comprised of ALICE,but it looks almost identical so I'm not too bothered. This should go well with your SVD loadout,along with the KLMK two piece,like I said,could be a pretty accurate Belo spets loadout.

    Main Irish Airsoft have it but it's the 4.5mm version My heart's set on a Hi capa though. The reliability and the fact that's it's a 'kin Hicapa makes it almost irresistible,and AirsoftEire have it for only 160€! I would like the Makarov,but I need someone to downgrade it to below 328 FPS and it's a Win Gun OEM so parts are hard to find,and I'm a whore for long term reliability and that really kills it for me. GHK Did plan to make a Makarov,in early 2013,according to Samoon.Co2 Powered,based on the Shigapov PMM.     KSC are sure taking their sweet sweet time with that Makarov. And c'mon,only options for soviet pistols I have are shitbox winguns and the decent KWC makarov,all of which are illegal in ireland by the way,400+ FPS on those pieces! Sam_G,that glock is absolute sex. Looks like it's been going to hell/afghanistan regularly enough for a customer discount

    Silly yanks and their Miracle barrel... Constantly seeing videos of 'proof' of it being teh best thing evzorz yet they always use different hop up setups. Closest to a fair comparison was one with stock vfc unit vs stock vfc unit with Systema bucking.

      The theory behind it sounds good,getting the BB to sit in the same place all the time,but I have concerns about the Metal plate used scratching the BB,that and the aforementioned problem of not finding a decent comparison.

      Makes you wonder why they don't just make the V shaped cut run the entire length of the barrel. I thought the cut would taper into the barrel though, it's not just V shaped one second and then smooth barrel the next, is it? I didn't think there was a plate fitted inside it or anything.

      The V shaped cut is simply a steel insert under the place where the Hop up window is.

       

      Of course it sill can improve over a stock barrel due to better machining quality and the usual barrel factors.

    I'd actually prefer G&G Nylon Fiber ABS stuff to fool metal. Unless you're getting a G&P or VFC or whatever high end CNC 6061 body stay with Stock one. Everything else is probably Pot metal and that's a big downgrade to the Nylon ABS one.

    Tape is my method of making the some foliage does not knock the lever out of place. the gun's old and the little notches on the unit are worn out and it's lighter to adjust. I put it on after I missed a critical shot during a MILSIM when the hop was knocked out of place.

    Not airsoft related,but A Sony CyberShot lense for my mum's old camera arrived today and I've fixed it along with my brother. Now it's mine. muhahahaha Now to post the testing pics of my VSR to r/airsoft 'cos I'm a sad sh*t like that.

    I think I may have misunderstood the problem though,I thought the Mount simply does not work on it,but in your reply to CK's point I think you meant it's too small and will strangle you putting it on. Still worth a try though.

    Use a Keyring. Clip it onto the sling mount and then the sling onto the ring.

    Some Sorbothane,roughly 3 or 4mm thick.€2 I had an idea in school for a hop up arm mod on the VSR. Instead of using a straw or biro cartridge to make a 'nub' between the two prongs,I'll just glue in some sorbo between them to make one full bar. Should go well with a W hold,this uses the same theory as DangitDave's/Dangerwerx Type B arm only for cheap bastards like moi

    OP hammerfall was excellent! Although NATO forces managed to sucessfully intecrept several Nazrani diamond smugglers,a crushing defeat for NATO at a large base assault and an EMP detonation by Nazran forces left their infanstructure crippled and them helpless!
