  1. Perhaps because both sites are too busy trolling Tumblr users and generally being arseholes? I don't think there are many, if any, airsofters on either site.
  2. Some useful links: http://www.airsoft-f...a-tight-budget/ http://www.airsoft-f...od-first-rifle/ http://www.airsoft-f...or-some-advice/ http://www.airsoft-f...hat-gun-to-buy/ http://www.airsoft-f...ng-my-fist-gun/ http://www.airsoft-f...ing-for-an-aeg/ Welcome to the forums
  3. I think the most modern AK variant you can get in AEG format is the G&G AK103.
  4. Tokyo Marui MP7 for both GBB and AEG.
  5. You can get a 419 piece O-ring set off Amazon for £8.87 w/free shipping Rolson 61225 419pc O Ring Assortment
  6. G&G Combat Machine M4 if you're looking for an M4 style weapon. CYMA AK (model numbers CM.048 and above) or G&G RK-47 if you're looking for something a little more Eastern. G&G/Classic Army MP5 if you want an SMG SRC Gen 3 G36/Classic Army G36 if you're interested in that sort of thing. If you're looking to start airsofting properly, I'd recommend you buy yourself a decent pair of ankle supporting boots, some cheap combat clothing, a fairly good lower face mesh guard and ESS ICE or similar high end goggles/mesh goggles. You may also find a battery and charger useful when you buy your 1st AEG, and extra magazines/batteries would come in handy as well so you don't have to wait for flat batteries to charge at a skirmish. Use the links Mack's provided, he replied just after I'd finished typing this massive paragraph
  7. Also got myself a 419 piece set of O-rings to fix up my M700's magazine- £8.87. May also need a standard fill valve, so if anyone could link me to one that's decently priced I'd be grateful
  8. Looks brutal These newer PDWs like the PDR and such are a bit small for me, but they look incredible compared to older designs
  9. I can recommend tactical-kit.co.uk, very good site and fairly decent customer support
  10. Highlander ATF Desert Alpha boots size 12- £25.49 5.11 'Tactical' socks, black, 9 inch x2- £17.12 I don't know how socks can be tactical, maybe they come with MOLLE and loop velcro for patches or something....
  11. I'd love a PKM for a Soviet support/Russian Federation Chechnya loadout. Shame the only manufacturer is A&K, and I've not seen an A&K PKM in stock anywhere for ages
  12. Sure, but they will probably have incorrectly stored guns, allowed metal parts to rust, not tested them properly- and then if you have a fault with your M4 or G36 or whatever, it'll be a ball ache getting it sorted out
  13. I'm outside of Alton and may be able to join future arrangements
  14. Or, you know- take a normal rigid holster and a large diameter drill bit and cut a hole in the bottom, 1mm wider than the suppressor
  15. Brand would help. If you're looking for opinions on the M24 style, IMO there's nothing wrong with it. Just a standard bolt action rifle, stereotypical for it's kind. The safety catch can be a little annoying as I sometimes forget whether it's on safe or fire, but as with an Enfield's safety catch it has to be forward to fire. If you do get one, watch out for the RIS over the breech- unless it's tightened properly it can wobble, making all the time you spent zeroing your scope worthless
  16. Normal MP5s with suppressors don't look great, IMO an MP5SD looks much better
  17. There's some great Steam Workshop mods for it, including one where as an Insurgent it will play one of 15 different combat recorded battle cries when you throw a grenade/molotov/C4. Also, gold Makarov skin and camo skins for pretty much every gun (as well as a handy re-animation for the UMP making it more realistic in 1st person) are available
  18. It's a method for real steel AR shooters in 'Murica to adopt that hold as it reduces recoil. Because of this it's become a sort of fashion among airsofters, where that hold is impractical. Anyway I like the look of the RIS system, I find tubular RIS systems really good looking- if only the MadBull ones weren't so damned expensive!
  19. Yeah if anyone wants to add me on Steam, my ID is 'sandvichstrikeforce'
  20. I've seen a couple of youtubers play it and I was impressed with it- I decided to postpone purchasing it until the sales though. Got it downloading right now for the great price of £10.99, cheaper than a bottle of .25gs I've been looking for a new FPS for a while, and this is perfect for me
  21. Ed did it!

I know coz I nearly pissed myself reading about the hero USS Phoenix whilst at Pearl Harbour / Hawaii Ohoiu, a memorial but still nearly wet myself when I got to bit about selling to Argentina and renamed Belgrano - paaahhhhhhhh

Oh I see. FYI while the Belgrano was outside the exclusion zone it still posed a significant threat and was an entirely valid target.

  22. I've heard they tend to move about a lot when running, especially if you have a heavier sidearm in them. Then again, I've always used a belt mounted holster so I have no 1st hand experience with drop leg
  23. That might be the best thing to do- all 3 factions could have a meet and greet at the summer event as well as a showdown
